“You’re shoes will be wet and your sock will be wet; but your spirit will be dry.” California people finally understanding what it’s like to go to Disney World 🤣
Yeah last year I went to Disneyworld after being a Disneylander my whole life I was not prepared for all the rain to come. (Also Disney in the rain is kinda a vibe)
My favourite little known fact is this: Disneyland was actually named after Dr. Albert Land. A real legend in the business, named in memory of his work.
Late January thru early March is the “rainy” season in So Cal. We go to Disneyland a couple times a year during that period and it’s almost always deserted when it’s rainy. Love it!
I remember riding the motor boat cruise as a kid. Sometimes the boats would slow down near rock formations, and I remember being afraid that my boat was going to get stuck in the rocks. I think my dad tried to calm my fears by telling me about the steel tubes, but the Disney illusion still worked for me.
If enough people talk about the PEOPLEMOVER maybe, just maybe, Disney will think "Hmmm --- maybe we should bring the PEOPLEMOVER back." Also don't drink the water from the water fountain by the radioactive wall...........
“n- no chat, im not gonna just .. make shit up about disney! im no- its not happening. its not happening. okay, here it says that disney is taking emu - you ready for this-?”
Here to confirm that you, yes you!, can indeed watch these early. In fact, there is a secret 11th fact only for Patreon members! Maybe. Perhaps. Is that a fake/real fact? Only Patreon members will know
In November, it rained like that. I was smart. I brought umbrellas and raincoats. Wore half pants and sandals. At night, I wore leggings and rain boots. My husband wore his hiking boots. It was still crazy busy. A couple shared their table at Hungry Bear so we could eat our clam chowder bowl.
Funny that there’s a no smoking sign on that area where motor boats used to be. I think after the boats bugged out it was actually a dedicated smoking zone, before the final hammer came down. Btw, this rainy day, deserted walk through is most enjoyable. Memorable. Thanks.
I’ve only been to Disneyland once and it rained like this almost the whole time. The lines were indeed short but also some rides were shut down. Guess that means I have to go back. (Ironically, I’ve been to Disney World countless times and can’t ever remember a day like this.)
And the 11th real fact which can be confirmed on Wikipedia posted by Dallin himself. He was kidnapped as a small boy by Walt Disney and used in a chain gang to build the Disney railroad. Living on popcorn and churros, he finally escaped, using the monorail to travel to his current home in Colorado. It’s true, I swear. Hahaha. Great video Dallin.
I am 40, I grew up in Ca, mom took us to Disney land now and then. I don't think I ever got to ride the motor boats ride, I didn't even remember they had that. That is till I was showing my kids old video I found on RU-vid of the people mover (I have taken them to DL by this point) and my daughter saw the boat and went "what is that" and then I had to goggle it lol. She was sad it was gone.
Absolutely true facts! And EVERY one an egg layer! Lay in a course for Fowler's Harbor... Championship behavior, Number One... Take us out of orbit... and... engage!
We’re you at Disneyland on Tuesday? I was supposed to go Tuesday, but since it was raining that day I went on Wednesday! If that was Tuesday, I MISSED YOU BY A DAY!!!
This was great, but I can't help but feel like on a day _that_ serene you could have put the camera down in front of the Matterhorn for 30 min and made a terrific ambiance video too.
I actually think the Avatar experience in the Fantasyland theater makes a lot of sense maybe Disney would want it to transition from Galaxy’s Edge to toon town and have that make sense for an example compared to like into paradise gardens and Pixar pier I understand that some Disney fans may not like it but maybe Disney could open a new smaller Fantasy land theater in the empty Disneyland spaces like in the Small world area witch is a parade route witch would look pretty nice just a thought.
Heeeeey wait a minute! Something's not right about that Monstro photo... Disney's good at special effects, but that looks a little TOO slimy, especially for an opening day attraction. I suspect that this is actually a photo of the short-lived Peristalsis Boat attraction, from Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. It was popular with kids, but they shut it down for safety after only a few months of operation... a boat took a wrong turn, plummeted down a waterfall of stomach acid, and was never seen again.
@17:15 Thanks for the spoiler alert. Star Wars Episode 4 has been on my watchlist for only 43 years, haven't got around to it yet, been busy with stuff and things. Was gonna watch this weekend but thanks for ruining it.
A less imaginative fellow would have saved this episode for April 1 Not the first footage I have seen from a Disneyland enthusiast whose visit occurred duning the record breaking rain event. Throughout Greater Los Angeles people were staying home. If you were staying near Disneyland why nof go for a walk?
