pretty good. definitely not perfect. there are some episodes where they struggle to blend the flashbacks in terms of tone. subverting expectations only goes so far and you don't want tone jarring, but rather some connection between the two. it can ruin the flow of the storyline. and the supernatural aspect was a struggle for the show. IMO they should have left it alone and make lottie only appear crazy, not having supernatural abilities, or at least make it ambiguous. I would have cut out her screaming to prevent the car accident, or at least make it so she keeps crying so the audience isn't sure whether it was supernatural or not.

meh. it seems like they are making some of the show up as they go along. it doesn't have a clear path for conclusion like breaking bad.

yep! they said their plan is a 5 season thing but also that they dont want to drag it out too long so they would cut it down to a 4 season plan if they can.

@@jayjya buddy, that is how ALL shows operate even breaking bad lol you can literally go look up how vince gilligan had originally planned on killing off jesse AND hank. breaking bad definitely did not have a clear cut path for conclusion by the end of the first season. it's a good show but calm down.

This was such a wild ride from start to finish. The older and younger versions of the main four were perfectly cast, and the twists were very well executed, particularly the reveal of how Jackie died. Girls can DEFINITELY be just as vicious as boys.

So many twists! The cast is perfect. These ladies are acting thier ass off. Also, I don’t know who’s the craziest. Misty the manipulative murderer, shauna the sociopath, tai the blood sacrifice lady, Lottie the psychic schizo possessed cult leader, nat the tortured substance abuser? The music!! Graduated in 99 so the music is the best! Just love this show

Just finished the first season and I loved it. Entertaining, intriguing, mysterious. Excellent performance from the young and older actors. Happy to see Juliette Lewis and Christina Ricci in a great show that's getting so much recognition. I know both actress have been working, but I consider this as their comebacks. Both are giving stellar performances, along with the other actresses.

I'm a little late to the party but this 55 yo male got hooked on this show. I was surprised how smart the writing was plus its filmed in my area of BC so my back yard is much like the setting. I'm in love with that goofy Misty, she gets no respect but has a heart of gold.

since Westworld and Euphoria that i discovered recently , i think this show has the potential to become a huge hit , 100% on rotten tomatoes is pretty rare , only Arcane recently got this note too . if you didn't watched it yet , Jump on board , it's lit.

The first season was definitely entertaining, full of intriguing mysteries and interesting characters - but so was the first season of Lost and I hated how that turned out. I really hope this Yellowjackets can follow up its early promise!

The writing is amazing but it's that 90's indie rock for me. The deep cuts. You just know whoever was in charge of the soundtrack was in high school around 1992 to 1997.

I really need Travis to stop being so cringey in the fumbling "love scenes". He acts like such a douche, but then again- I am pretty sure that was intentional, but it annoys the hell out of me. And why didn't Lauralee just jump from the plan into the water. Her bear spontaneously combusts and she was just like...welp that's that.

I watched the first 3 eps, then forgot about the show. I enjoy the works of xtina ri, juliette lew and melanie lyn....but life got in the way. I intend to go back to it but I'm not usually a fan of time jump shows like lost or how to get away with murder. And i hate mysteries that drag on too long.

As much as I like the concept, the actors are amazing, & you’re right they did cast older & younger perfectly - I have to say, not EVERYTHING has to be a show these days. 🙄 there’s way too many shows that would be just as good, if not better as a movie. The former just makes the storyline drawn out, boring, and a little random with all the fillers they have to come up with

Disagree completely- this story couldn’t be told in a movie… there wouldn’t be nearly enough time for the character development which is one of the reasons people are connecting with the show. There is a reason that this show is the 2nd MOST watched tv show on showtime -EVER. That being said, they can’t please everyone and there will always be ppl complaining -that’s what people do on the internet. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I actually completely agree with the first part of what you’re saying. Not everything need be a tv show. However, this doesn’t work as a taut 120-140 minute story. It only works as a 40+ episode series.

It actually took me a while to get into the show. I think it’s because I didn’t like any of the characters so I can’t root for anyone. Ironically, the one person I actually like is the crazy one lol at least you know she’s crazy. The others are kind of annoying. And the only adult is completely useless smh 🤦‍♀️
