Sometimes these Best Choice-style brands have things that none of the three big brands have; like black cherry soda, kiwi strawberry or carbonated fruit punch. Clear American (Walmart Fresca-like soda) has a Cotton Candy flavor, Strawberry Cream, and even a bomb pop flavor.

Oreos IS A KNOCK OFF BRAND LOOK BELOW FOR THE TRUTHHHHHHHHH Did you not ever know that oreos is a knock-off brand of Hydrox but then people said it was a knock off brand of the oreos. Hydrox was made in 1908 before THE knock-off brand Oreos stole theirs in 1912? Well if you didnt know now you already know, you can Google it if you want to see if I am lieing.

By far, the best generic rip off I ever saw, was when I was working and a coworker, who was a Mountain Dew addict, brought in a generic version from his other job at Dollar Tree. It was simply named Mountain. One of my other co-workers saw it and made the crack, “Damn. So cheap, they couldn’t even finish naming it!” 😄😄😄

I got the unrated director's cut of Robocop on blu ray 👍, what would Robert Cop be rated 🤔. I heard they remade Robocop with a PG13 rating, my copy has content not even suitable for R Special man, sounds like a clone of a Superman clone, a copy of a copy and he likes Pizza. Hey, it was Batman that was closed in Multiplicity Any doll trying to compete with Barbie is no match for Barbie's new hat lol 😝

Several years ago in Atlanta in an area that was shifting to be more international there was a Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor that closed but someone reopened it as Basket Rabbit. I laughed at it every time I drove by.

Reminds me of a market trader in London years ago who cheekily rippled off the world-famous Harrods department store. He called his stall 'arrods (dropping the H) using a similar font and even used carrier bags in the same corporate colours. Harrods was not very happy about this and put their lawyers onto him. He had to change his name pretty quick!

I remember back when I was working retail a Korean Chicken restaurant was being built. I swear they were originally titles KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) but a month later they were renamed to Bonchons.

Many off brand/ store brand food items are made/ produced by the national brand companies. Many times they are items that didn't pass quality control inspection for the national brand and get packaged as a store brand and some other times it is using up raw ingredients that are still food safe but not new/ fresh enough for the national brand line.

Trader joes make different food items, some are purely original, some are inspired, but some look like the same thing, just with a different name. But the funniest ripoff is in Poland, actually. The Converse All-star shoe was just called Big star.

I didn't grow up on rice and beans. But my water came from the hose or the faucet, never bottled. But it could be because I'm 50 now. So a different time? But I get what you're saying. For me it was bologna sandwiches and koolaid. As an adult I actually prefer the generic Oreos and generic sodas.

In every grocery store they have their own brands that are literal knock offs. My favorite is I cannot believe it's not butter. Food Lion has ITS NOT BUTTER. Right next to it. 😆
