When I was young playing Wind Waker, the bird enemies scared me because you never knew when they were gonna detect you and squawk yell at you. And the redeads were even worse. I needed a juice box to prepare my tiny self.

"Don't look at me... I'm a potatooooooes.... I'M A POTATOOOOOOOES..." has become my favorite thing to say whenever I'm hiding in games.

One day in Fallout 3, I was walking with my dog when a Deathclaw came out of nowhere and tore the head off my dog. It didn't even attack me, it just ran back where it came from, leaving my now headless dog's body on the ground in front of me. Horrible experience.

I remember plying Ocarina of Time for the 3DS for the first time and getting to this part. I remember learning about the Dead Hand from this video, so I knew it was coming. So thanks, because I'm not as emotionally scarred as I would be if I hadn't known about it!

Fast zombies- I mean stalkers... They're on the list, deal with it!

You know, Uboa reminding you of a Boa Constrictor is actually a really relatable to Uboa, considering Uboa more or less represents hopeless/helplessness as you can't do anything in the room save for accept your face and touch him, which leads to a horrible end, much like how a Boa will squeeze the life out of you and you can't really do anything if it's large enough.

SCP-173 is still very scary but after playing Secret Lab for a lot of time, I find it's less scary to me now.

Okay so, there was this one time when I was playing fallout new Vegas I ran into like two death claws in a quarry, and they were too strong for me to fight, so I ran away, and I turned around to try to shoot them but then more came, rushing around the corner, and they scared me so much that I threw my controller into the wall and I accidentally and activated my V.A.T.S. I was laughing afterwards how much it scared me.

I am tired of hearing about Five Nights at Freddy's. It isn't a horror game, it is a bunch of jumpscares packed together. A horror game makes you feel uneasy and genuinely makes you frightened. A good horror game might not even have jumpscares, but the thought of being watched, or slowly chased is worse than any jumpscare i have ever experienced.

I'm surprised the Regenerators from RE4 didn't make it on this list. I mean, I was shooting up the place happily, running and gunning with monsters and whatever kind of ethnicity those people are (Spanish..? Mexican...?) , and I fucking KNEW they were coming as well, but the way the tone and pace of the games change the second you meet one- not to mention the music- bloody terrified me as a sixteen year old. Besides, if you haven't the thermal scope, they suck up so much ammo and do so much damage- I was running one around in circles at some point trying to get Ashley to finish this door puzzle with me, and it just would not leave me and would not die. It ran me down to three incinerary grenades, for gods' sake! Well, that'd be my choice for number one, anyway- that's one of my most traumatising gaming experiences. And god damn, I love that game for it! :)
