On that day, ever year after, if you wear a red sweater that day, that evening, the red sweater girl will walk by, dragging her ax and will behead you in your sleep.

For the Slit-mouth woman other ways to escape her are -ask her if you are pretty, She will get confused and leave -say you have to meet up with your husband/your wife and she will excuse herself and leave -throw fruit or candy at her feet, which she will pick up, giving the victim a chance to run (don't understand how this would work but that was what I heard was a possibility from escaping from her)

I knew about the Onryo. I'm very surprised it only got an honorable mention though. I think it's the scariest one by far, especially since it typically comes with a horrific backstory.
There's a few good movies about the Slit mouth woman. I think it would be cool to have her pair up with Freddy Kruger I mean from what I have read, and seen in film, they both do prey on children. And they do enjoy a good stabbing.
You didn't mention the Kuchisake-onna's mouth was slit from ear-to-ear by her husband, who then asked her "Who will think you are beautiful now?" because she was having another affair. Which turned her into a vengeful spirit, wishing to be alive and pretty again. If you asked her confusing questions like "average" or "so-so" after she asks you, she'll get confused, buying you time to escape. Another way to divert her is to throw money, fruits or hard candy in her direction and she'll pick them up.
How to escape the slit mouth woman: 1. When she says "Am I pretty?" Say "you're average" or "So-So" so she gets confused which gives you time to run away 2. Or throw candies down to keep her distracted then run. If you say yes she gives you a "slit mouth" from ear to ear (You still die) If you say no she instantly kills you. I read out Tomino’s Hell both in Japanese and English and you know what happened? My luck plummeted. I got in a fight with my friends, missed a bus to go meet up with my Mom and had to wait another 30 minutes. I also got sick for a whole week and missed a science fair which me and my partner won in, and it took a while to fade. Please don’t do it. A year and half ago, my best friend's 5 year old cousin came to visit them. I basically crashed at my friends'(they were two sisters whom I've known for 8 years now) place whenever I felt bored and lonely since both mine and their parents worked at the same place and were best office buddies. It was like my second home. So one day when the kid was there, I went to visit them and found out that the kid wasn't eating. He knew about Kuchi-Sake-Onna abd was scared of her. So I told him that I'm Kuchi-Sake-Onna and that I'll eat him like a monster if he doesn't finish his lunch. Next day, we're out for an evening walk and suddenly the kid goes like, "Kuchi-Sake-Onna, can you buy me candies?". To this day, I'm Kuchi-Sake-Onna.
