Almost 30 years since Selena’s death and she’s still being talked about to this day. Her legacy will be eternal to people of ALL nationalities! I didn’t hear about her until 10 years after her death in my high school Spanish class, and I fell in love with her instantly despite not having one drop of Mexican or Spanish blood in me. Very rarely does a person like that come along in our lives.

My aunt was her Seamstress and made her most famous outfit: The purple jumpsuit. After Selena died, my aunt gave me a vest she was making for Selena.

That Purple jumpsuit was everything. Selena was and still is thru her music, an icon.

Abraham Quintanilla's reaction to Selena's bustier will forever be iconic. Poor guy nearly caught a stroke. I remember watching an interview with him and the interviewer asked him about that particular scene and she asked him if that really was his reaction and he said yes. He freaking lost it that day. He was about pull her off of that stage.

I couldn't agree more with all of these picks. I have been a huge fan of Selena since I was 4 years old and I looked up to her. My family had the honor of meeting her a few times in her early beginnings: Quinceañeras and Weddings that we all have pictures of and even then, she was an icon. To say that I, like so many of her fans, was devastated when she was murdered is a huge understatement. She opened up a LOT of doors for The Hispanic Community, male or female, and was the kindest and talented person who deserved so much more. I still play her music for my kids and they love her just as much as I do. Thank you so much for this Top Ten List and honoring such an inspiring Woman. ¡Viva La Reina!

the embelished bustiers were an staple garment in all the 90`s mexican pop divas at the time; each and everyine of them gave it their unique style and look. even when it was common among the pop scene, you know which one was for each star. Selena's bustiers had her own creativity and work put into them and that makes them iconic in their own.

Selena is a wholesome woman that has it all and no other female artist till today can't be on her level except for shakira she is humble and a great artist too. Selena was beautiful inside and out, naturally curvy latina without surgery, talented, charismatic, humble, amazing sense of fashion and style. Been her fan since I was a little girl. She died when I was 10 years old. I remember crying for her more than I ever cried for anyone even my grandmother that past away too. My mother and I used to listened to her cds, I has her posters. After her death, I bough her biography books, t shirts and we still got her CD and listen to them. I love the outfit with red bustier and black Jean's, the purple one, a white outfit not shown here, everything looked amazing on her. Also, she wore a lot of Jean jackets with long skirts and crop tops, Jean on jeans, jean jackets with black pants and red lipstick winged eyeliner. Imagine how amazing her music would sound nowadays TexMex with reguetton latin vibes all day.
