Good comment! You’re right but in SMT they have them as separate entities I’m unsure if that was the developer unaware of this and thought it would be cooler to make them their own thing. I haven’t been able to see any commentary on it but would be interested to know.

@@SnarfsSoldier17 Well, considering how this is also a series that deliberately chose to have both Satan and Lucifer as separate beings when most people wouldn't even know that was even a thing unless they already knew and cared enough about the inconsistencies present in the Old Testament and how Satan was more so a agent of God which was meant to act as the ultimate judge of all living things and unleash God's wrath when necessary on there specifically (which I sure as hell didn't before playing these games btw lol), then I think it's clear that they do know what they're doing tbh

People would get offended even if you did try to get it right as much as you can, for a lot of stupid reasons 😂 I've also stayed away from doing anything that takes inspiration from religion as the area I live in was very much religious and you'd be seen as an outcast if you did something that they deem sacrilegious.

@@lavneetgardevoir0326 Just in case you're still confused about this btw, but it seems that in SMT specifically they treat the word "demon" as more so something akin to supernatural beings instead of specifically referring to creatures that are particularly vilified by some kind of religion or mythology, which yes, that also means that things like angels and deities/gods/goddesses are also called demons too; admittedly it took me a bit to get used to it after playing the games for the first time not too long ago, but yeah, you'll learn to get used to it pretty quickly, trust me lol

I don't care if it's 30 year old or 1 it's just need to stop anyhow this is a rubbish game which is really is portraying gods of a community in a bad light or as demons

The SMT Franchise I would not say portrays the gods in a poor light but rather the franchise allows people to learn about them and expand their knowledge base. Shiva, Asura, etc are pretty spot on from a mythology standpoint and while the developers maybe should not have done a blanket "demon" setup there was no malice in their intentions. If you have not played any of the games I would recommend giving it a try as you might like it if you enjoy turn based jrpgs.

But they have portrayed gods as demons that is blasphemy in itself, if they didn't have any bad intentions then why they didn't portrayed them as Gods?
