I would argue that 2019 was Travis Scott’s year. And idk if the Witherspoon’s were as impactful as the wave runners since the wave runners started a whole trend.
The Waverunner definitely could be on here but those were 2017 I believe. The Wotherspoon was 2018. I think the off white Chicago 1 edges out the Waverunner personally.
MR FOAMER SIMPSON oh true forgot it was initially released 2017. I think what makes the ranking odd is that you did top shoe by-the-year rather than the top 10 sneakers of the decade regardless of year released. There are some years that were stronger or weaker than others.
I still wear and only buy Ultra boost. They’re without Doubt the most comfortable shoe ever. Also if you have foot problems Especially dealing with diabetic foot problems these are the best shoes on the market
MR FOAMER SIMPSON I’m 5’10 240 so it does some but I can get about 6 months out of them. I have diabetic nerve damage in my feet so even at $180 worth every penny
I say the sneaker of the 10s is the Yeezy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not my favorite sneaker (it’s the Jordan 1 High). When Yeezys were made, it was a new concept. Most of the sneakers we consider greatest of all time are actually 80s sneakers (AF1, Air Max 1, Jordan 1-4, Dunk, Superstars...) and 90s (Air Max 90 and other Air Max, Jordan 11s,...). But they’re from those decades. Clearly the sneakers I listed left a big impact in the decades to come.
-ROSHES- There is no boost or yeezy without Roshe runs. Roshes are the pioneers of the current wave no doubt. Nike ushered in the need or inspiration to compete and improve on a model that was so simple. We rocked the Roshe before the boost.. thoughts?
Great call on the concord... a lot of people point to that as the beginning of the “Hype” era. That release was nuts. We left standard retros off the list bc we’ve seen them for 3 decades+ at this point.
Mantar Singh there are other things he did besides the reversed logo, which btw Nike is now using on the Freak 1’s and apparently on upcoming LeBron’s. Like it or not Travis Scott is setting trends. The colors he uses are also different. The logo is dope and subtle details make the shoe stand out.
Ray Urbina Agreed. Everybody including Foamer talking that Sacai nonsense knows damn well if they owned Travis 1s, they wouldn’t swap it out for not one pair of Sacai’s.

Depending on where you grew up, those 2011 New Balances were ok. However on the East Coast particularly New Jersey we were rocking that style since the '90s. I'm 35

The Travis Scott 1s should have had the 2019 spot. Yea, the sacais were more original, however the Travis Scott’s caused way more hype and noise around it. The sacais were only loved by maybe half of the sneaker community, whereas every sneakerhead wanted the Travis Scotts. Just saying
That shows how much better the Travis Scott’s r because they have higher prices since they have more demand, the sacais don’t resell for as much because there isn’t as much of a demand
Hype doesn’t mean good, just means hype. The only reason the Travis’s are popular is because it’s a Travis Scott shoe. If it was just a normal Jordan 1 nobody would care.
Love the diversity of this list. As an older sneaker lover, anytime a NB or Asics makes a list, I can fix with it. But sneaker of the decade was definitely the Red Octobers.
Top sneakers of the decade a whole lot better then top 10 of the year. Every shoe was spot on for impact on the community and inspiration for the future of it
2019 is Union/LA Bred/Storm blue AJ1 in my opinion. Just an all around wearable sneaker that was executed perfectly. It really captured the Jordan 1 craze of 2019. I feel like the waffle will be forgotten in a few years while the union will just go higher in value.

Favorite sneakers from this list were the 2012 galaxy foams. Mad that most of the decade I was in highschool broke, but hopefully the next ten I can stay afloat and buy whatever.

Lmao weed pocket, but seriously, the sacais are a mix of two classic, non hypebeast Nike’s. It’s one of the most original shoes ever. The Jordan 1 is so overused.
I was there at the florida mall for the galaxy foams release. That was the first time I ever seen anything like that. The S.W.A.T team had to come out. I meet the mayor that weekend also. That night, that was the day I officially left the sneaker game.

I can’t say I agree. This decade was the sole reason I became a (fairly minute) version of a sneaker head, a year like 2019 had such great release, I didn’t even know that Nike pair was one of the them. I copped my alien eggs (700 azael) and I’d say that, even though idk WHY I like it, was a bomb ass cop for me. It’s futuristic, it’s different, there’s nothing else like it. There are others but I’ll keep it quiet for now
