Top 10 Solo Boardgames

Great video. You can ramble about boardgames to your heart's desire. We have only one game in common but it's a great to know new games. Probably I'll play a couple in BGA. Thanks for your 10 (more or less) solo boardgames list.

We have very similar taste! Absolutely love Calico, Three Sisters and Mycelia. In my mind Farmer Edith isn't actually mean, she's just (really badly) trying to help. I see her as the pesky but nice neighbour overwatering my plants when I'm away. 😂

Great list of games! Final Girl is an all time favorite of mine. Can't wait for Series 3!

Just saw your video being reccomended and being a mostly solo player had to watch it. Love your enthusiasm about board games and taste and I'm looking forward to your future playthroughs of Obsession and Under Falling Skies. Will check out many of your playthrough videos starting with Calico.which has been on my radar for quite some time. Very easy subscription.

great video and great list. great lighting, i like the corner shelves with the books. very calm and peaceful setting for a video. i thought Eila and Something Shiny or Calico was going to be your #1. I was close! I don't have Eila or Obsession but i hear good things about them. i need to pick them up. Awesome list! I’ve gotten into solo board gaming recently, as I have such a busy schedule that it’s hard to sync up a game night with my people. Obsession has been at the top of my wishlist for so long but I just never come across it. And you convinced me that I need to give Calico a try.

Glad to see Calico solo getting some love ! I love it, but i love it even more with the digital version (on steam) it's such an amazing adaptaiton ! So cozzy and relaxing to play ! (with the zen musics) I also love Cascadia in Solo. Really cute and cozzy to play. Great video! I’m mainly a dungeon crawler player but may try some of these games.

I'm not very good at Cafe either, but for some reason it's one of my favorite small solo games. I do use some pricey Century Spice Road upgraded spice/bean bags from Top Shelf Gamer in place of the cubes, which does enhance the play for me. The coffee theme doesn't hurt, either!

I was really looking for a video about solo games, so thanks! Maybe for your next top 10, could you say a bit more about each one, what type of game it is, what makes it unique etc? Then I know which ones of the list I would want to look deeper into first.

hoihoi, voor het eerst één van je video's tegengekomen en leuke lijst! Ben ook zeer benieuwd naar Kinfire Delve, maar is helaas vaak uitverkocht op het moment dat ik wat wil bestellen.

Thanks for a great top 10! I was very close at buying Eila And Something Shiny the other day when I saw it at my FLGS. Your video of the game really presented it well - but unfortunately it was a bit pricey (87 EUR) and I have sooo many other games still unplaying; Lost Ruins of Arnak being one of them :)

This video has sold me on trying Ila and Something Shiny.

For Lost Ruins of Arnak. The expedition leaders expansion is a must (especially for multiplayer). But even in solo it’ll provide different ways to solve the puzzle of the game. And the newest missing expedition expansion has a 6 game campaign where games have some specific goals rather than just score as much as you can. Honestly both are gonna improve your solo experience.

Nice list! I guessed you like horror themes watching your shelves. Junji Ito fan here too :) Final Girl definitely belongs here. Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective would be high on my list. I think Sleeping Gods is actually better playing solo, and same happened to me with 7th Continent, some similarities there. These days my default boadgame-like solo experience is Slay the Spire, I know it's kind of cheating on a list like this one, but it's so good :) The digital implementation of Sentinels of the Multiverse is awesome too for solo playing.

Totally agree with café, under falling skies, three sisters (next year with expansion)... You also already tried some Button Shy solo games? Success with the channel 🙏🙂

Hiiii , I’m pretty impressed about your list , there is no Arkham horror or marvel champions type on the list , I loved that 99% is about euros. If I could mention a game, I would recommend White Castle , it’s has a wonderful solo mode.

For Arnak get both expansions. Leaders is great and Missing Expeditions is a brilliant campaign mode (which I only play solo).

Because you liked Falling Skies, I would recommend to try this: Warp's Edge. It is similar (solo only), but has a unique twist which makes it at times better than Falling Skies (at least to me)

There are actually two games that are Kinfire Delve - if you liked one, you should maybe look into trying the other one as well.

Just having you as an audio on the background... my mind stops at " I'm not even sure how to pronounce that in English " ... i was like ... whaaaat ??? i though i saw a room full of games and books in english .. checking the picture .. just to make sure .. wondering where you're from .. so i spotted one book there and without using the google ..i will take a guess : Netherlands ??? next time .. just don't worry about it :)

Great list! Sleeping Gods (the original) is such a masterpiece of the narrative adventure genre. Distant Skies reduces the complexity and eliminates some of the more fiddly bits but puts the story more "on rails", Primeval Peril even more so. But I think neither of the sequels compares to the scope, limitless feeling, and open adventure of the original. Still, Red Raven has something to offer to each gamer's style in the SG universe.

So what you are saying is you don't want anyone else to get a turn? lol

I choose not to watch videos which don't include game titles along with the timestamps. I'm sure I would enjoy your content, but this feels like clickbait. Maybe someone could include the titles in a comment.
