Actually, when Bubble Bass first enters the Krusty Krab, we can clearly see that Spongebob recognizes him and isn’t exactly pleased to see him which implies something happened between them in the past.

Squidward isn't number one, he has even more of a love hate relationship with spongebob than plankton, ex. In the same pizza episode you showed to display his hatred, he sticks up for spongebob when the customer makes him cry. And invited him to his clarinet recital, and came to his party, and actually looked happy to be there, plus he felt bad for giving him the bomb pie and was upset with Mr. Krabs when he sold spongebob's soul.

I don't believe Squidward truly hates Spongebob, even though he says he does. Deep down inside, he truly cares about him. If he really did hate him, he wouldn't stand up for him from time to time. There was this one scene in Pizza Delivery he gives a customer a piece of his mind after making poor Spongebob cry. And another where he puts himself in danger to save him from getting hit by a truck.

When I was a kid, I thought Mrs. Puff hired Flats somehow to beat up SpongeBob. Even as a kid I thought her tone of voice when she told SpongeBob she would talk to Flats was a lie, especially afterwards when she seemed all happy and told him kicking someone's butt means that he wants to be SpongeBob's friend and play sports with him on weekends.

There’s perfectly legitimate reason for flats to hate spongebob. During spongebob’s “Alien hunting” with Patrick, he captured flats and threw him in the back of the rocket ship. I’d say he was holding grudge

Mrs. Puff didn’t used to hate spongebob. She would get annoyed with him, and anxiety from him, but she’s shown some caring behavior towards him such as in the episode with flats.

To be fair, Squidward and Mrs. Puff have legitimate reasons to hate Spongebob, *especially* Mrs. Puff. To put it simply, Squidward is just flat out annoyed by everything, but mostly the fact that Spongebob can enjoy the mediocre life he has to the fullest and always seems to succeed while he can barely stand to get out of bed every morning and has failed at everything that has meaning to him. Mrs. Puff on the other hand, is both mentally and physically traumatized by her experiences with him because driving is virtually the one thing Spongebob can't succeed at and that means she'll likely be stuck with him until either he gives up or he finally gets his driver's license, and I doubt they would ever end the show with Spongebob getting his driver's license. In addition to this, his antics constantly land her in prison for little reason besides being the one supposedly responsible for his actions, even though she tries to act as the little voice of reason he never listens to. And this isn't even covering episodes like "Demolition Doofus" where Spongebob's actions justifiably drive Mrs. Puff to try and be rid of him, no matter the cost.
