@@kingdomcomesuperman3669 While I enjoyed Luke Cage and Daredevil (Iron Fist was meh) Jessica Jones was the stand out show for me...Daredevil a very close second.
Got nothing against the cage, but this seems like the most half assed top 10 video ever, and least 3 of those powers are the same category as super durable.
Super strength, invulnerability, super stamina, combat training. You listed his training, 3 powers, and 6 ways those 3 powers can be restated. For a video about such an amazing character with such a deep history and a charming personality you dropped the ball. I don't wanna see videos where you lazily list things that are almost powers he has because of other powers (c'mon, he can jump high and land safely, Really???) If you are struggling for ideas, make a video about what he has done and the adventures he has had. (10 coolest luke cage moments, etc)
Yoooo. I said the same thing.. So glad some one actually wrote about it.. But a lot of people who subscribe to channels like this don't know anything about Comics and their characters. So they will like anything.. lol
@@VeotheVillain Well there are certain metals that can penetrate/break Luke's skin those being Adamantium, Vibranium, and certain mystical metals. Which is where is his healing factor comes into play.
@@derrickhaggard Damn I knew he was on the more weaker end of the spectrum compared to other marvel characters but I wasn’t aware that Adamantium and Vibranium could penetrate his skin. He must be terrified to go into Wakanda
@@VeotheVillain Luke is definitely considered one of the strongest sometimes the strongest of the street-tier characters mostly due to that combo of healing factor, super strength, and nigh-unbreakable skin basically save for the metals I mentioned and even then his healing factor will ensure he survives.
To me his biggest power is his attitude - I mean invading Latvaria to collect $200 from Doctor Doom, and getting it! (As you know, since you used several panels from that comic story.) As always, thank you so very much for your thoughts, efforts, and video.
Correction he doesn't have super healing instead his cells revert back to the state that they were in prior to any injury so actually they're simply replaced or revert they're not actually healing it's just his body returns to a state of health of perfect health any time that it is damaged which sounds like healing with the way that it works is oddly enough entirely different.
Phantom Z use of Pym particles from Luke drinking coffee 😂. Deadpool knew he wouldn’t be able to cut or shoot him. So he sabotaged him without him knowing.
This is a nice video about Luke Cage and his powers but you either missed or didn't know about a new power he gained. I didn't read the stories but i saw another youtube video about it. Luke was with a group of superheros stopping an attempted prison break and while his teammates were dealing with other super villains trying to escape, Luke purposely went to deal with the Purple Man which is a weird thing to do because the Purple Man has always been able to mind control Luke in the past. Upon seeing Luke in the prison, The Purple Man was happy because he exclaimed that with Luke under his control, breaking out of prison would be easy. He attempted to mind control Luke and failed and instead got knocked out by Luke who explained that he and the group of superheros he was with were recently in space and encountered a powerful artifact that granted him and the rest of the superheroes with him an additional power. When, he decided what his additional power was, he said the choice was simple. Immunity to mind control. That's how he gained a new power to resist mind control.
It took me a long time to find out what happened because i saw this a long time ago. It wasn't power gained from an artifact but rather nanites in his body from when he was a member of the Thunderbolts. He said they were designed to counter any attempts at mind control from the Purple Man. So, not necessarily a new power unless you want to consider this a new power with a very very narrow focus on when it's effective.
The beginning of the second season of Luke Cage, in one of the earlier episodes, he was struck by a Judas bullet and discovered he became immune to them and even paid Mariah a visit and dropped it on her desk. This was a few episodes before the encounter with Bushmaster.
Thanks for the list. There were a couple I didn't know about and it made me realize just how much Netflix nerfed him. If the MCU reboots him they can do it in two ways that i would like. should make his project be a secret super soldier project that was started after Avengers Age of Ultron since the government lost its symbol. They should use the tech that was used to create Vision and use what little vibranium they have left as the substance that is bonded to Lukes cells.
David Raff---Great video you hosted. Your an excellent host. I can see Luke Cage having a lot of these superpowers. Can't wait for the next video that is a lot like this one.
His greatest power is to have his show cancelled and despite being better than the others and having a more compelling risky new narrative established by having the most compelling cliffhanger it's still not the show everyone is petitioning for. They petition Daredevil, a show that was stiffly acted for the most part.
@@KingOfThaDead64 I don't know. Maybe race did have some influence. Daredevil was alot more popular than the other shows due to being more recognizable and having more mass appeal to the majority audience. All I know is I want Luke Cage to wrap up the storyline it was setting up. It completely turned the show on it's head and went against expectations. It was something different that would have been really interesting to explore.
Top ten nerd: top 10 powers you didn't know so -n- so has Also top ten nerd: starts the list with their most well known ability/power that character is known to have and qualifies it by stating, "this only counts if you were oblivious to who this was before watching the video".
Luke Cage was wasted he should have been in the MCU. He would have helped the Avengers a lot more then Rhody and falcon. Just imagine him fighting alongside Captain America so much potential wasted.
Luke Cage has one of most invulnerable skin in the marvel universe. How did he even get infected in marvel zombies?? 😭if he even did. I don’t remember seeing him in it.
If he does get internal damage or someone manages to break his skin he heals. He would have trouble with Wolverine because adamantium can break his skin.
Some villains can cut him if they got vibranium or adamantium. He did get scratched by a Venom symbiote possessed Spider-Man in What If Spider-Man; The Other.
It time for the writers to give him an upgrade with his powers; he needs to evolve. Maybe total invulnerability and increased strength, 10 times more than what he has now.
All I know is he had better be coming into the MCU once the Netflix contract clause is up. Because he is too important of a character to be just ignored.
trying to remeber. but, didn't luke get punched by the beyonder once? back when he first showed up on earth he got mugged and a bag lady gave him heroes for hire's card. luke rushed him and got punched if i remember right. later their building got turned to gold and fell under it's own weight.
Thunder clap isn't a superpower it's a technique that can be used by individuals with super strength. Saying thunderclap is a superpower is like saying each martial art iron fist/daredevil know is their own superpower.
