Carl Creel (Absorbing Man) All Powers Scenes | MCU Compilation (2014-2018) [HD Color Regraded] *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, 3 and 5. Property of Marvel and ABC.
Never understood why he didn't just walk around with a toolbelt like Batman, with a ton of samples of different materials in it. Or even a plethora of rings, each a different material, on each finger. Would make him almost unstoppable.
In the comic books he was just a low-level thug. Not very intelligent or imaginative. There was a graphic novel Universe x. He absorbed the computer mind of Ultron. And that's when he really got dangerous. Because He could become any material that he had touched in the past.
i guess you aren't paying enough attention to what happens... when he changed full body then he had alot of that material that he is touching while the ball with chain wasnt enough to change his whole body. if he would wear a ring of metal then he would change a finger maybe a hand into metal.
@@MrTBSC yeah but there he had a moment he fights the hulk all fine in a metal type but then gets thrown into sand he changed into sand but had to touch metal to not become a sand pile so sometimes he got the power that he needs to use this power to take that form but other times he touches it and change right away without doing anything. also it dont make any sense of him opening that vault door in this video... a steel (or whatever metal it is) vault then it changes into that metal and he can go through the metal door to open it. im sorry but its not because you become the same type of material that you can go through it. if he could then why did he have to change into glass so they wouldnt see him in the glass cage then he could of changed into whatever it was and open the door too... writers change alot of a story so it would look "cool"
If I had his power, I'd make it a priority to obtain a small piece of Vibranium or Adamantium and always carry it in my pocket or have a ring made out of it
"This is a very important prisoner. As you can see by the containment, he has special powers. He is bullet proof. So if anything happens, key open his cell and point your pistol."
this was actually so stupid. Did they not know what his powers were at this point? Did it not occur to them that he could just become glass and blend in? I would have stopped watching the show at that point
Absorbing Man has always been a interesting character for me ever since I read he up in my old Hulk comic book collection. He’s an epic adversary of Hulk, but to think that he could potentially one of the most powerful entities in the Marvel universe had he actually had a stronger intellect because not to be rude but his brain is denser than the materials he absorbs. If he was smart he could easily outwit almost any super hero because he could basically become unstoppable. But of course his character has like the imagination of a 3 year old.
Believe it or not, he actually started as a Thor villain. See in the comics, he was in prison serving time and Loki, wanting a superpowered pawn to fight Thor, slipped an Asgardian herb into his food, granting him his powers.
@@takenking2925 I know, what a waste. He had mountains of potential and they finished him off just like that, slurped up like the last noodles in a bowl of ramen or pho. I love both. Great, now I’m hungry for food and power.
About the electrical immunity. Is because he also gets the traits of the mineral. Metal for driver for electricity. (Like in 8:20) Rubber is good against electrical energy. Wood to catch sharp objects (Like in 9:10) Glass for transparency, etc.
He could just walk around with a tank, some shorts and sandals that he can easily take off. It’s not as cool as regular clothes but it’s really efficient for his powers especially when he’s barefoot so he doesn’t have to noticeably transform.
Fun fact: this version of Carl Creel/Absorbing Man fought Matt Murdock’s dad in a boxing match in a Netflix’s Daredevil. The fight was only referenced and not seen, but it’s part of the reason why Jack Murdock died. Jack was supposed to lose the fight to Carl in a fixed match, but he wanted to win instead.
I wouldn't mind a superhero tv series of a guy that can absorb stuff like this it would be really cool. He'd be a cooler version of Kevin Levin and he'd be able to absorb stuff at his own will.
AoS really explored Carl "Crusher" Creel more as a person than the comics did. The idea that the sensation of absorbing materials might be enjoyable. The idea that he would have drawers of different materials on hand to have them as needed (and to experience each of them). The fact that he could camoflage himself by sanding in fornt of a material that he absorbed or that he could absorb the transparency of his perspex cell.
1:35 Why do guards always do this? You had him in the cell, the last place you saw him was in the cell, so why the fuck are you opening the damned cell? I mean seriously do people never tell their guards the abilities of the guy in the cell so as to avoid them opening it when the guy suddenly disappears without a trace?
Just like in Jurassic World when the camouflaged dinosaur tricked them into opening the enclosure. I guess know one knows how to use infrared or tracking software that already exist and you could by off Amazon.
They thought he just hiding in there. But still stupid. Even it is their job to make sure they *know exactly* where the prisoner is. Still no need to walk in the cell if you suspect him just be hiding in the corner
@2:11. Does anyone else laugh at her smirking and saying “why don’t we find out what makes this thing so deadly” intending to use it as an ultimate weapon, and what makes it so deadly immediately becomes clear to her for barehanding it
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp True. His end was absolutely unsatisfactory. And for Graviton technically it wouldn't even matter, if he did absorb Absorbing Man or not.
I liked this version of him in the series very much more than in the comics and the series he was intelligent and very imaginative with his abilities and was able to use them to great effect in the comics hes just a big old Dumbo!💯😁😉👍
Tv shows always have a fraction of the budget to stretch over the course of a season or more that movies do, so the CG work they did for all his different absorbing episodes was done rather well and looks really well done, good animation and color matching to the scene lighting, overall they did a great job, felt almost like it was practical even though I know it wasn't!!!...
Much older. I don't know the extent of Kevin's powers but in the comics Crusher has absorbed everything from Thor's hammer to Quasar's energy blasts to water and everything in between. His powers are magic and come from Loki. He also carries a ball and chain that changes forms right along with him. He is a very formidable character
"He's gone! Better open the door of this incredibly secure cube to make 100% sure, instead of walking around or waiting for back up, that seems safe, it's not like he's known for turning into the materials around him or anything."
He has turned into legos before and been shattered. He always manages to reform. He has also been transformed to energy and other substances and dispersed many times but he always manages to reconstitute himself
Honestly this is one of the abilities I would love to have. Adaptability to live in any environment plus the power to absorb material and make it your own. Can you imagine getting in a fight with putting your hand on a metal surface and then punching them in the face with a metal hand.
I agree but I would prefer Kevin from Ben 10s version of the powers since he can also cover his clothing and shape his hands to become tools and weapons and absorb powers and energy but still yes it would be a very good power
Wouldn't it have been easier to have different rings of different metals? That way he doesn't have to worry about finding a material to transform his body into? He can always have 10 rings on his hands at any given time So he can quickly switch between diamond's, Steel, Concrete, Brass, etc?
From what they showed from the ball and chain he needs a certain amount of material to do full body transformations. If he had rings he could at most turn his hands into the material but nothing more.
Да и в резиновый гандон обернулся полностью прикоснувшись к небольшой покрышке так что все это бред про то ято ему нужно дофига материала или косяк киношников
I very much appreciate them making a live action Absorbing Man he is an awesome villain, and I never even thought of absorbing man using his power to camouflage like that, super cool 👌🏻
it’s not about him, it’s from a show, agents of shield which is featured in but never truly a main villain. though the entire show is quite amazing and criminally underrated
Not to detract from the show, but material textures and surfaces are much easier to make look good than a lot of other things in CG. Metal, rubber, paint... etc. Is pretty easy, skin, faces, movements, mist.. etc. Those are very difficult. They chose wisely. The did an awesome job of blending good on-set work, makeup, and CG to make it look great! You can basically do a CG transition to a painted metallic arm.. it's a good choice for a TV show.
The ending of this video reminds me of that “adapt to survive” guy from X-Men first class, he had awesome & unique powers, & the writers wasted no time, killing him off ☹️. He had potential, imho, even as a main character in a solo film, hope to see him in the MCU.
Darwin is quite literally unkillable in the x-men canon, so the fact that they made a show of how strong their big bad was by making him kill Darwin was a low blow, especially when the same big bad later died due to a penny entering his forehead. Seriously, Dawin survived an interaction with Hella, the goddess of death, because his powers made him a god of death.
@@enigma6890 unfortunately a lot of marvel movies especially the x-men movies are inaccurate to the comics but Darwin in the comic storyline is definitely unkillable like you mentioned. That and he's originally mostly a free agent like Emma frost, deadpool and psylocke but still joins the x-men when his assistance is needed. As for the hela ( since marvel renamed her to that from hel) feat she decided to leave him alone after that. Which just goes to show how powerful darwin really is because not even the most powerful of all the Norse gods and goddesses want to pick a fight with Darwin lol.
Darwin is really cool and they buried him fast. They didnt even expore his reflexive adaptations where he doesn't know how his body will change .Kinda seems like Absorbing got buried here too. May always has some cheap jump on him, Coulson had some gimmick weapon, he gets beat by 3 spies, not to mention the near constant beat up by a small girl trope..... This is a dude who held his own with Hulk... now he aint shit.
@@KasirRham When did Darwin hold his own against the Hulk? I'm only vaguely aware of a time when Darwin gained teleportation and distanced himself from Hulk as the best means of survival. I'm not doubting it could happen, just curious and would like to check it out.
A lot of TV shows have quick editing tricks that fill in for inconsistent screenplays, it’s like ordering food and getting a middle finger. Or ordering McDonald’s and getting what you expected lol
many say that he should wear 10 rings with different metals but I think he should be better transformed into armored glass,Think about it, you have the whole package in there, it's bulletproof, electrically proof, fireproof. If he transforms into bulletproof glass, he'd be invincible unless he's up against a guy who Throws lava out of his hands
@@dangercat8919 in a normal, real life, prison. in this case, their superiors should have told them "hey, this guy can turn into anything he touches, so if he touch the cell surface, he'll become invisible"...and they'd have been equipped with thermal goggles. this is just poor scripting.
To be honest, the only part that bothers me is the car flipping scene, I've seen roads break after people dropping things way less heavy than a car. If he absorbed and turned into the same concrete as a road, that SUV would've had a giant dent and split him to pieces
Yeah, but his power is not only absorb the material, he also adapts it to his body, allowing him to move and use his power only in some parts of his body, that's why he sometimes shows super strength without being using his power externally. For example: 0:49, 8:17 and 9:06. It's entirely logical that in the SUV scene he's using super strength to resist the impact.
@@ScreenMasterMCU Well, all the concept is retarded, let's face it. If you turn your arm into steel, and then try to lift a truck, even if the arm is strong enough what happens it's that the arm detaches from the flesh shoulder before the truck moves. Also, superstrength doesn't mean "inmunity to inertia"... a marmol statue with that shape gets pushed several meters by a car impact. Only Moore's Miracleman treated superpowers in a semi-logic way...
This is off of Agents of Shield, the character we are seeing is Carl "Crusher" Creel. Throughout the movies and Comics he's been known as absorbing man to if I'm not mistaken. He's also been a boxer who fought Jack Murdock, Daredevils dad. If you watch throughout the MCU movies and Netflix TV shows oh, you'll see references to him. Also in the Ben Affleck movie I believe he is the one that Matt Murdock's dad had just fought before he was murdered, I might be wrong on that but I really want to say it was Crusher creel that he fought
@@Philamosity I actually wanted to add on to this. I'm currently re-watching the entire Marvel Universe including TV shows One-Shots and movies in chronological order. Season 1 episode 13 of Daredevil has a clear shot of the Carl Crusher Creel versus Battling Jack Murdock fight poster
I think cause only apart of him absorbed a certain substance, and he wasn't planted on the ground like when he absorbed the asphalt, but thats my thinking
@@misein2466 Yes, I agree with you but if you're referring to 1:08, Creel was still human flesh and bones, with the exception of his right arm. This is why a he flew back after getting kicked.
when I was young I had a Thor comic book where he fought the Incredible Absorbing Man. somehow with his powers he got the Absorbing Man to absorb helium and float away, but it was a battle.
You know I really would love to see him battle against Thor or the Hulk with the budget his powers would have in a movie. Also does anybody else ever realize that when you make a live-action adaptation of something like a book, you realize realistically how much difference there is in character sizes (When the height of the actors match those of the people from the books that is but even still).
he actually did fight thor in an animated movie and absorbed the metal of thors hammer though unfortunately for absorbing man when he absorbed the uru he also absorbed mjonlirs enchantment and which pretty much allowed thor to telekineticlly throw him around and paralyze him
@@earlcharles7463 it’s a show; agents of shield is on netflix in the US and on UK disney plus i think. It’s really quite an amazing show, and criminally underrated
This was a great character. Anyone who gave up on SHIELD really should give it another spin, it improves massively and honestly some of what happens later in makes the early episodes better in hindsight.
@@henzo7789 you finished the 5th season? Well you made it to basically the end haha. Seasons 6 and 7 are short bonus seasons. They are still good, but I like the first 5 the best
There was a comic where Absorbing Man jumps into the ocean and becomes a Water Giant that gets hit by lightning and becomes a electrified Water Giant it was fucking awesome
