Be careful with using any “lucky charm”. It could be that your mind will get psychologically used to it and when you lose it you will always feel like bad things will happen. If you DO NOT use ANY charm then you are likely to always feel like either you control the events, or that some events are entirely outside of your power.

I managed to find two four leaf clovers growing right outside my apartment door a few months ago :0 now they're in a magnet on my fridge lol. I have several of those symbols/charms around my unit, but for whatever reason, I find that my Eye of Horus pendant my Dad brought over from when he went to Egypt on business gives me most of my luck. Can't have a bad day when I wear it.

A few others worth mentioning Baku statuette (Japanese) - works basically the same as the dreamcatcher (it will eat your bad dreams) Piece of hide from a Dhobar-Chu (Irish) - probably impossible to get, given that Dhobar-chu's (giant magic super otters) probably don't exist, you'd need a silver bullet to kill one, and whoever kills it will die in 24 hours (so make sure whoever does the hunting is someone you don't like) but if you can get one, you are supposedly immune from ever getting wounded by a weapon, having your horse fall under you or buck you off, and any ship you sail on becomes unsinkable. Also in our family (for reasons similar to the clover one) we believe that walnuts with 3-4 seams (rather than the usual two) are good luck

In Germany it gives you luck in your marriage if all your friends and family come together the evening one day before the marriage and destroy dishes. Then the couple that is about to get married has to clean everything together. We believe that shards bring you luck and the noise will distribute the evil ghosts.

Clovers & shamrocks are actually different plants, though apparently the 4-leaf variants of either are lucky. Clovers have oval-shaped leaves & produce comparatively larger white flowers which turn purple w/ size & age. Shamrocks have heart-shaped leaves & produce tiny yellow flowers. At least, that's how I've always understood it. The terms are commonly (& erroneously) used interchangeably, & there is AT LEAST one alternative name for the shamrock additionally, which I can't think of just now off the top of my head. Culturally, they're different, too, as the clover is associated w/ England, whereas the shamrock is associated w/ Ireland. If you're North American, fear not, as both grow wild on the North American continent - often in the same areas.

I really cannot respect any of these symbols of luck, or lucky charm items if they are from countries which are already filled with them at every corner. It loses its meaning and uniqueness when everyone has the same one. To make it work (psychologically , not supernaturally) make it your unique item that only you have and which is associated with some memory. Also helps if you do not advertise it and show it to people. That way you’ll feel stupid when you get the worst luck while expecting good luck.

6 pence in the shoe of a bride. One of the origin stories as to why horse sure are lucky is because St. Dunstan who was a blacksmith had the devil call on him one day. He realized that he was the devil because he saw his hooves so he grabbed him by the nose and shod the devil and the devil couldn't enter a home where there was a horseshoe over the door. As for 4 leaf clovers my best friend always finds them can't take her anywhere where there is grass and she doesn't look down and find one... thing is she has shit luck.
