I feel like This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things fits perfectly with Reputation because it's her talking about her anger over everything that happened. Getaway Car talks about anti-heroes so it fits perfectly with Reputation too.

The Taylor Swift song “Message in a Bottle” is a song I would switch from “Red (Taylor’s Version)” to “1989 (Taylor’s Version”. This lovely dance pop song would feel more in place there.

New Year's Day being the outlier is the point. It's a stripped down, vulnerable new beginning. The song is literally about building clean slate together after something huge and raucous and dramatic.

I was crazy about "Betty" when it first came out, for that exact reason: Taylor went back to what made me love her in the first place, with country songs like "White Horse" and "Fifteen". I couldn't agree more that it would've fit a lot better on "Fearless (TV)".

KOMH production is def Reputation. The high hats and fast bests. Archer is nice on Lover as a track 5. I could see it on Midnights too. IBYTAM sounds like Fearless but she wasn't as famous yet so seems better on Speak Now themtically. Getaway Car always sounded like 1989 to me. Thanks Antonoff. Anyways it's funny that Taylor tries so many sounds, we feel like her songs belong in an era.

The problem with taking any song from any of her other albums and putting them on folklore or evermore. Is that the majority of her songbook has been autobiographical whereas evermore and folklore were mainly not autobiographical. I remember when folklore came out reading a story about how she approached the songs on the album is more stories, not necessarily of her life.

Even I, as an over 50-year-old rocker who likes Gothic & Rock and who didn't know a song by Taylor Swift until the day before yesterday, now understand the phenomenon. She is the best. Just watch 'Taylor Swift - Shake it off Finale 1989' on RU-vid, a live sequence from a past Sydney video. Absolutely awesome. Afterwards you are almost in a daze.

Personally, I think “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” belongs on the “Reputation” album. Like the rest of the songs on Reputation, its genre is pop. This does make it sound happier, but its story is not. In fact, I think it sounds similar to “Look What You Made Me Do” considering their stories are based on the same event. In my opinion, her voice in the song sounds angry along with some other songs on Reputation. I agree with the others though.

I’m a huge WatchMojo fan and an even bigger Taylor Swift fan, that being said I have never disagreed so much with a video. I feel like you’re missing the point of these songs on there albums. Taylor isn’t trying to “have the same sound” for each album, she’s telling a story. Stories have ups and downs and her albums reflect that so well. All being said I’m glad you’re making a video of Taylor, she’s so deserving.

Nearly every song on Midnights qualifies because that's literally the concept of the album. Songs written late at night from different points in her life. Special mention goes to Anti-Hero because it was namedropped in the original lyrics of New Romantics.

According to my critiques, I'm "Bejeweled" should stay on Midnights rather than on the album for 1989 because when we picture the word midnights, the one thing that for what we all know, is that stars fills up the sky and we all know what stars do, right? The twinkle and if we can picture with stars that bejewel her body, that is the perfect illusion of symbolizing stars covering a midnight sky.

This one came to my head just now I'm Only Me When I'm With You on Fearless idk why I just thought of that but it should be by the beginning of the album before they heartbreak songs S**t! could probably work on Reputation but by then the sl-tshamimg would have been not as loud so probably not plus the music difference I think TIWWCHNT is actually fine on its own btw it's her just being sarcastic like "yeah that happened but yeah screw you it's in the past I know hahahah hehe" which could work for 1989 but in the original era she kind of got over it until later on in the era Also Getaway Car is perfect on its own as well

should've said no (debut -> sn, good precursor to better than revenge) don't you (fearless -> red, very red vault/deluxe) timeless (sn -> debut, idk it just feels right) sad beautiful tragic (red -> folklore, idk again) girl at home tv (red -> 1989, the tv of girl at home is probably taylor's benchmark at the time of how she'll make 1989) message in a bottle & the very first night (red -> 1989, need i say more?) i know places (1989 -> reputation) getaway car (reputation -> 1989) gorgeous (reputation -> midnights) long story short (evermore -> reputation, the electropop production and lyrical content really aligns with the rep era, great addition to the later part of the album, lss - ciwyw - nyd) hits different (midnights -> lover)

Ok, so I totally support your opinion, but im not quite ure about alot of them, I mean- reputation will have like 6 songs left 💀 But I think you just impressioned reputation in a different way. Reputation is not JUST about being a badass and a villian. She also sings about having secret relationships, or toxic relationships, or you know, befriending anti-heroes and getting drunk. I think getaway car fits perfectly good in reputation, and if you added it to 1989 it just wouldnt fit. Out of The Woods has the same perspective, like the line: "remember when we hit the brakes to soon, twenty stictches in a hospital room", It's like a synonym of Getaway Car. Another thing about reputation is that she also sings about love, and the enjoyment, partying and getting drunk, and throws in anger and sadness. Take "Dress" for example and this line: "Our secret moments in your crowded room, They got no idea about me and you" I just think that reputation is thought of in a much different way then it really is.
