Lena Bussard there isnt any thing wrong with the ocean you have to be very unlucky for somthing to happen to you. im a surfer and i am a dive instructer and nothing has ever happened to me. 🖒

Dylan Mylius I know that but, unfortunately, I am known among my circle of friends as having the worst luck in existence. If something is capable of going wrong, it almost always will. And there was also a time when I had been walking through the water as younger child and was almost completely taking under by the undercurrent (I think that's what it's called) and almost drowned so I'll just take my chances with the shore. Though I'm always happy to watch surfers like yourselves. I suppose I'm just more content watching than I am participating.

Dylan Mylius true, and it probably isn't the smartest decision to let my fear run my life. I suppose as long as I don't stray too far from shore or do anything stupid I could try swimming in the ocean. Guess I should give it another shot. there is a fish in the UK that has a sting so bad that it can leave people in agony for weeks if they step on it, the Lesser Weever, i don't think they kill but they do have venom that can cause extreme pain which could result in hospitalization, the best treatment is hot water to pull the venom out

Zeno-Sama It honestly wouldn't be a big deal even if they were. For 1 they're endangered, and for 2 we know their migration patterns. So we'd just have to avoid being around them. Since they're pretty huge and relatively slow, it really wouldn't be that difficult.

nemesis7884 well there is such a thing as a giant squid, but those dwell in waters so deep that humans can only go down with a submarine so incredibly tough that a giant squid couldn't get through it. Not to mention that they usually dwell in undersea caves and wait for a meal to swim past it's tentacles so it's highly unlikely that they'd even grab a hold of something like that. So something like a kraken does exist but it poses very little threat to humans.

Funny thing is, Sharks hate the taste of human flesh. We lack the vitamins and minerals they need. So if they bite us once they want to let go, but the smell of blood miss concepts their senses so they want more.

When I was snorkelling with my mum near Spain once, we were looking at some yellow fish when what looked like a BIG barracuda came swimming extremely fast at my face!!! I was so scared and thought it was a shark at first but my mum saw it too and confirmed it was a barracuda. Luckily it didn’t go for me, I was just in the way of its cave it was trying to get into. Scary stuff.

Mooray eels aren't dangerous lmao And bull sharks are worse than tigers cause of their bite force and temper And great whites are actually quite passive animals in comparison to other sharks

Agreed. Bull sharkies are very territorial, especially in rivers where they breed & stuff (not 100% on their reproduction ie do they lay eggs or birth). Professional outfits who offer dives wi bull sharkies meet them in the sea, away from the coast, where they're less aggressive. Wi great whites their size is more of a threat than anything else.

As a marine biologist and my side job is a grammar police i disagree Bull sharks are not worst because tiger sharks are used to swimming in shallow waters so it is most likely to encounter humans and you could get 10 to 30 stitches or if you have enough time you could bleed to death bull sharks do indeed do have a strong bite but don’t encounter any human hope that this is useful

You should've put the Bull Shark at #4 instead of the Great White. Cos the Bull Shark is more aggressive, can swim in freashwater, and doesn't mind eating human flesh.

I was just thinking that. Most places in Australia are great ... but the tropical areas will mess you up. But then don't go too far south or the Great Whites could get you. :P

Oh yeah the blue ring octopus. If it touches ur screwed and dead. I’m pretty sure if u do touch one i think u will fall to the ground unable to breath. And it can bite 7 and I’m pretty sure there is a name for the bite. Either way ur still screwed

You forgot the Humbolt Squid. They can grow to 2m, can drag fisherman out of their boats, are more aggressive than any shark, and have a vicious bite. Plus, if you had two scenarios; one person in open water with a Great White, the other in open water with a Humbolt Squid, you're more likely to survive being in the water with a Great White.

You underestimate the cone snail, which has no anti venom and will kill, with a long stinger that can get you even if you don’t touch it.
