When you get tired of fighting the same old villains after decades, but people don't want to see heroes fight each other in civil wars, the only enemy left is your evil self.
Who got tired of the same villains? There's so many version of Jokers plans for example that's enough for one person to be entertained. There's so many versions of every villain that is not easy to get tired. This is something new and is good but i didn't get tired of anything from this Batman comic books.
Ian Bailey Welm yeah I agree their backstorys are a bit more compelling and I do love those versions very much too but I just prefer The Batman Who Laughs just a bit more! :)
Interestingly enough the Robins (other than the Damian version) can only say the word crow. Later on in the comic Batman Who Laughs says the word bar to make them heel. When you put them together you get crowbar. I guess Jason Todd's fate was similar in Earth-22

The batman who laughs basically show us what would have happened if joker split personality had won and taken over bruce/batman's body completely considering how incompetent rest of batman family was in that game gotham on fire like was in scarecrow fear toxin nightmare wouldn't be too unthinkable at all.
if DC made movies that accurately reflected the genius of the comics instead of being safe, corporate movies we wouldn't even need the MCU. the Joker movie gave me faith though, and if their next movies are just as good then I think DC comics will finally get the movies they deserve.
Adrian Cuyubamba Diaz no, I don’t really watch movies like that. I usually prefer to watch tv shows, but I found that movie to be extremely boring. I thought the jokers actions/way he thought was interesting? But beyond that, I found it pretty slow, and just it had no real, I don’t know how to explain, it just wasn’t exciting. Plus for me at least, the movie didn’t really do a good job at making me like the characters. They all seemed eh.

I like how it looks the Batman Who Laughs but not his origin story....I heard one creepypasta that would have feet better on this character: Batman fights some Cosmic/entity villan (Maybe Darkseid)he's the only hero who can defeat that enemy so he has to exist to do it(and Batman Knows that)but before dieing that enemy transports Bruce to the exact moment where his parents had been killed... And says: "I have transported Joe Chill, the murderer of your parents to another place in the multiverse so they wont be killed but you wont exist neither...and no one will stop me to destroy your universe in 35 years... Unless you take Chill's gun and push the trigger" Bruce realizes that he must kill his own parents infront of himself to traumatize his own young version so that he become Batman and save the whole universe one day...he shoot at Thomas and Martha...and then goes to AXIS chemical plant and jumps into a contamined acid pool...trying to kill himself...but he weak up... Transformed into The Joker: "Do you wanna hear the most ironic and funny joke of all...HAHAHA"

Well change it for Bruce jumpeing from a bridge(he wants a quick suicide because he's devastated for what he had done and Chill's Gun has no more bullets)but comeing alive against all odds...he woke up in the lake infront of AXIS Chemicals...already crazy and transformed to the Joker... I know it's forced...but to me it's still better than his actual origin(just beeing infected and then calleing ExtraDimensional Demons)

People usually confuse ''edgy'' with ''dark''. For example, comics like ''Watchmen'' or ''Kraven's last hunt'' are dark; but that Batman who laughs is just ramdom violence.
The Batman who laughs has a good character design but one of the most absurd plots to ever exist,until he gets the powers from batgod,his entire store is carried by plot armour
I've stopped reading DC comics. The stories are getting worst as time goes on, with no site of it getting better. I love the I idea of the Multiverses but a lot of the stories suck or are boring.
