My favourite places to visit in Ecuador are Cuenca and the Quilotoa volcano, I’m from Ecuador and i’m in love with my beautiful country. And btw great video! ❤️
I hiked the Quilotoa Loop almost 2 and a half years ago now and it has still been one of the most beautiful and rewarding experiences of my life. The month I spent in Ecuador when I was 15 was easily the best thing I've ever done
The part that I liked the most about the video was where they mention papallacta for the reason that one of my relatives lives there and it is a good tourist site since it has natural heated pools 3
Mindo Is a very peculiar place to visit, located at only 1:30 away from Quito, you get a completely different climate and zone in which you can do stuff such as: canopy, buoying, kayaking, hiking, site seeing , etc. But the best place is Baños, words can't describe it, only it's slogan "1 minute in Baños Is better than 1000 in Paris"
I love Ecuador! I have visited there many times, I have family is from Ecuador and it is a good place to travel too and get to know.. different from anywhere else.
I am Argentinian . I was in November there and I felt in love with this country . Now I understand why my husband doesn’t want to comeback here lol . Will recommend to go . Moving there soon

El Ángel ecological reserve from Carchi, Peguche waterfalls in Otavalo, Mojanda Lake, the city of Ibarra, and cotacachi are all destinations north of Quito in the Andes region of the country that are always overlooked. Ibarra is a smaller, calmer city that has many churches that are just as beautiful as Quito’s. Cotacachi has their leather stores that are worth checking out. The northern parts are definitely so underrated and viewers/travelers should take note of them!!

The part that I liked the most is that in Cayambe Coca right in the Ecological Reserve, that you can stay in the terminal waters also have a long walk to see the desired views of the place.
Very nice video! But about the title "Top 10 Things to Do in Ecuador" I think it does not represent all. What about the beaches of the coast? the amazon? the Galapagos islands? and other cities like Baños de Agua Santa, Guayaquil, Ibarra, Manta, Montañita, Mompiche, Parque Nacional Cajas, Riobamba, Vilcabamba, etc... I think you should go back for to see more of this beautiful country! ;) Cheers.

The Galapagos Islands are well known so I want to widen the horizon and show more of the country than what is already popular. Andean region? So where are Loja, Baños, Riobamba (one of the oldest cities of Ecuador), Cotopaxi (The highest active volcano in the world) and Chimborazo(Chimborazo volcano, the farthest side from the center of the planet) Volcanoes. But nice video!!

Im currently in ecuador for a month, visiting from new york city. I have been literally all over ecuador and will plan on retiring here once i get to the age of retirement.
If you're interested in visiting the Oriente and seeing Ecuador's amazing section of the Amazon, I recommend staying in Tena as your base if you would like to have the freedom of traveling to a lot of different places throughout the area (caves, waterfalls, animal rehab centers, rafting, canyoning, etc.). If you have a bit more money, a few days in Cuyabeno or Yasuní national park will be the best way to see wildlife and experience a more isolated Amazonian life. Cuyabeno is a little more affordable, but Yasuní is famous for its insane biodiversity. At the crossroads between Amazonia and the Andes, Baños is a very tourist-friendly place. On the other side of the Andes, Mindo is another absolutely gorgeous town in the cloud forest. For the coast, Puerto Lopez and the national park near by are supposed to be great, though I have yet to visit. From there, you can take a boat ride to Isla de la Plata, which is also known as "the poor man's Galapagos".
I had a great experience in Quito. you should plan to stay at least 4 days, I loved the place Quito Antiguo B&B Hostel unique and cozy. The owner is so friendly, highly recommended!!!!!!!!!

You are right, but I was aiming at the Sierra with this particular video. I hope to return to see all those other beautiful places and continue this series!
I'm currently in Ecuador. Chose to head to the coast after Quilotoa. I recommend Canoa for the surfing, Montanita for the partying (6 minutes north there's a town called Olon that's cool too), and Puerto Lopez for the cheap version of the Galapagos.
