Girrrrrrllll, this is how a travel video should be done! I am so sick of other youtube young female travel vlogers taking half of the time of their videos to talk about their outfits, or talking only about the "new trendy" cafe, restaurant or bar they went for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails...while giving ZERO info on the history or culture of the towns they are visiting, Thank you Thank you Teri!!!! My husband and I were literally JUST saying that. I understand why they do what they do, but when I am researching a new place, I want a lot of solid info on the place. Many focus on random things that feel like a waste of time to watch. This presentation is exactly what I was looking for. Excellent tips. And I lover her voice!
Hi! We live in Savannah. My husband is from Pin Point. There is such a rich culture in Pin Point- the dialect, the food, preservation of property & ownership of family land, stories, family, religion & so much more. The Pin Point community is built of hardworking people who don't quit under pressure, heartache, disaster or even death. They keep pushing with God's help & the strength of African blood pumping in their veins.
Savannah is without contest my favorite city I have ever been to. As I say this I am making it my goal to move there in a year or two. Home is where the heart is, and my heart is there in Savannah
@@pathfinderstravelmagazine2903 That is where I intend to move, as it is 45 minutes from Savannah, and 75 minutes from Charleston, and very beautiful, and without the tourist hordes.
I'd like to add the following things to do in Savannah (in no particular order) 1. Try a Mexican Mocha (espresso/red pepper/chocolate) at one of the Fox cafes (Coffee Fox, Foxy Loxy, or Fox and Fig) 2. Visit the Davenport House to learn about life in the 1820's and the preservation movement in Savannah. Or one of the other historical house museums. 3. Visit the Beach Institute, King-Tisdel Cottage or Civil Rights Museum to learn about the life of African-Americans in Savannah. 4. Take time to stroll through the squares, especially the ones along Bull Street. 5. Visit one of the many houses of worship that are open for tours.
Sweet! Terri, thanks for coming to visit our studio and making a body scrub! Loved this feature and your take on the real Savannah. Come back and visit. You did a great job on showcasing our fabulous city.
I am from Savannah. I love it here I will never leave. There are so many things to see and do in Savannah. The night life is amazing and something for all ages
The Power Plant Hotel (Plant riverside) will be the next big thing - next year. We love Savannah, and my husband even designed the structure for the hotel. Great job showcasing a great city.
Great video! I would add visits to the Ships of the Sea museum, the Telfair museum, the Black History museum and the Roundhouse Railroad museum. BTW, my family came to Savannah in 1750 so I am as local as they get!
This video is amazing. Thank you for uploading. We're trying to decide where we want to move and Savannah is on the list. Btw, your dresses are GORGEOUS!
I would highly recommend avoiding Savannah. The crime is horrendous, the historic district is overcrowded and breathtakingly over priced. If you want to live near Savannah, look in some of the outlying areas. I suggest Bulloch County.
There is a "Midnight in the Garden of Evil" tour which encompasses Mercer House, Bonaventure Cemetery and other places that Lady Chablis and company hung out.
Thank you for this information! My mom and I are going soon and we love the suggestions that honor the history and presence of the African diaspora! Blessings!
Yeah I live here but I still don’t notice these places to be this glammed. They sure don’t share that hospitality they showed her. They had a Paula Dean smile for the camera.
@@pushtostart1377 you can't live downtown because it is overpriced..way overpriced for the area. They have pretty much cleaned up the bad areas in Savannah, but, if you live on the 'Southside', you will be living around a bunch of ignorant locals. So. You really need to check out Effingham County, where that part of Savannah is really growing and a lot of housing, malls, etc.. It is very beautiful there, and I hope ti pu enjoy. I am a native of Savannah
Thanks so much. I’m convinced I’ll be making a lil getaway trip with my husband from atlanta to Savannah 😄 looks so historical and relaxing and delicious
Loved this video. I have lived here my entire life, but so much has changed I may need to take a tour of those trendy shops and cafes. You did a wonderful job on the history. I learned a lot of it in school. Thanks for the refresher.
I only visited for a day but the park, river street and the cookie shop you are not lying about. When we visit next time I want to stay longer and do more.
So glad you mentioned the local music! Lots of great talent and you can walk around downtown with a beer or beverage of your choice. Love downtown Savannah.
What a beautiful, elegant and helpful video. I have been to Savannah twice and did not know about a few of things you mentioned. The hats and dresses were nice and classy too!
Living here (or nearby town) is an ongoing adventure. Just be prepared for sand gnats (harmless and REALLY annoying) and the humidity (just, wow, take a nap in an A/C room). Lots of workshops, conferences, arts, crafts for those interested in those.
Ghost tours...day trip to Sapelo Island ....Hilton head just over the river... bed and breakfasts are incredible here... Savannah is the home of the first orphanage in the United States lots of history....
I've lived in Savannah, Georgia for over 20 years, I did'nt know it was so interesting, thanks for the tour, guess I should leave the South Side and take a tour myself, Don't for get to visit Kellers Fleamarket, look for the Large Cow, you can find me there on the weekends.
Thank you for this. I was born in Savannah and haven't been back since I was 5 days old. This is aiding in my desire to go back and explore my birth place.

This was a very satisfying video to watch. Very beautiful place to be! This video made me rethink my options. Definitely gained a subscriber from me just based off how detail and in order everything was and not long at all.
Thank you for this amazing video! I am leaving for Savannah in 10 days and this has given me so many ideas! Also... honey, you are absolutely gorgeous and have such a calming voice! ❤

Love this! I live in Savannah for school and am looking for what to do during my spring break. Even though I’ve been to some of these places! Really cool how many of these places I’ve walked by going to class
Hi Teri , I really enjoyed your video and am going to watch it again so I can go on to find more information on the different historic aspects. I look forward to seeing more of your videos . History is the building blocks of where we are now and should be paid attention to. Thank you :)
