Radio Disney. It was a radio station that plays various Disney songs, as well as various Pop songs from Disney Channel artists. Not to mention Pop songs from non Disney artists with edited lyrics to make it family friendly. Sadly, Radio Disney went off the air as of April of 2021. In the Los Angeles area, The station on AM 1110 is now an affiliate of ESPN Radio simulcasting its sister station over on AM 710 until Disney sells KRDC to a different owner.

Saturday morning cartoons really was the high point of my week when I was young. In a way it sounds kinda lonely I really hated school and did not have many friends.... I got up early, grabbed a bowl of cheerios or fruit loops cereal, maybe 3-4 tangerines, and watched all my favorite cartoons until 12 noon when they stopped. I'm 58 now and have lost a lot of family and friends and in the last few years thanks to the internet I have returned to watching my favorite vintage cartoons, I watch them on Saturday morning . I find the walk back down memory lane to be enjoyable and soothing, even if nostalgia is sometimes bittersweet.

Being an elder millennial born in '82, the favorite things of my childhood no longer around include: Floppy disks, especially the 5 1/4" variety that were actually floppy. Dial-up modems, as well as the pre-World Wide Web bulletin board services and AOL. DJ's mixing with physical turntables (though the vinyl revival may have alleviated that). Radio Shack and most other electronics store chains. Board games (though there's still a niche for them). Film photography and camcorders. Wooden playground equipment. Sears and KMart before they got run into the ground. VHS. Pay phones. Nintendo Power. Wizards of the Coast. Roller skating rinks (a few remain if you know where to look). CRT televisions and computer monitors. Graphing calculators.

So whenever my mom took us grocery shopping by the end of the trip she would let us go and check out few movies for the week. I also remember watching MTV for hours just waiting to see if they would play my favorite music videos because you didn't know when they were going to be played. Watching 3 hour award shows because there was no way to watch the winners or performances at a different time. People don't realize how convenient it is now to stream movies, tv shows, or music. Also for concerts they didn't let you bring in cameras so unless the artists shared footage of their concerts you had no idea what the concerts looked like.

I wanted a Game Boy as a kid, but my parents would never get me one. Now that emulators exist, I'm kinda glad since a LOT of those games are hard af and I would've just rage-quit a bunch of $30 games. lol

Lol thats completely true and understandable. Gameboy was before my time so I never did get my hands on the original.

I definitely see what you're saying about the old games being so damn hard but that was the essence of those games because there wasn't a lot of replayability. All games were linear it was one level after another. And essentially you had to memorize where the bad guys were going to be. And by doing it over and over and over and over, you finally after three or four months would get good enough to beat it!! And if you couldn't, pretty much every game had a cheat code that you could enter to get extra lives. By making the games so hard as you say now it is, that's exactly where your $30 was going to. To make sure you couldn't just walk through the game within one day because that's how easy some games are these days as you know. You had Nintendo right??:-) furthermore, there wasn't as many options as far as systems and games went in the very beginning, and yeah looking back a lot of those games SUCK -but that's only because you've been able to compare them to PlayStation and Xbox, etc...Ya know?

I miss the 80's and 90's. Those were the decades when I was a kid and in my teens. Music on MTV, the classic Nintendo, Saturday morning cartoons, Walkman with Mixtapes and Blockbuster were the best things from back in the day that don't exist anymore.

I definitely miss music videos on MTV!!!! getting up for school every morning and turning on the TV to hear music videos from midnight until 9am and then reality TV shows and some animated adult shows like clone high, Beavis n butthead and Daria until 11:59pm. I wish they would bring that concept back

I had games like Disney/Pixar’s Cars, Disney’s Party, Disney’s Kim Possible, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Power Rangers: Dino Thunder, Spy Kids, Spider-Man 2 (2004) Advance SP version tie-in game, and more! Man, I MISS those days.

Sadly, many of the musicians and bands I grew up with are becoming more and more scarce on the radio. As a Canadian, I grew up with people like Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo, Shania Twain, Sarah McLachlan and Celine Dion. During the live music performances last year on Canada Day, however, I recognized next to no one. None of THEM were there!

Definitely miss arcade games and music on MTV (music videos on TV in general too) . They don't give out toys in breakfast cereal boxes these days ? Though it's true most were crap , a few were pretty good. Definitely miss Saturday morning cartoons and TV shows too , they were a big part of my childhood and teenage years.Miss the Walkman and Discman too , these were pretty much synonymous with becoming a teenager and/or a "cool kid" when I was growing up. Video rental stores are much missed too , I loved going there as a kid though my parents rarely allowed me to go.

Rebeca I WANT MY 80's BACK ! I was a teenager back then and I loved it very much and I miss it. And just like Kevin Smith said there's nothing wrong with keeping the 80's alive I miss all these things listed in this episode of Mojo the malls with the video arcades and prizes in cereal Blockbuster Video Kids R Us stores Saturday morning cartoons and my I WANT MY MTV ! I'm so happy that there are T.V. shows and movies today that are keeping the 80"s still alive like stranger things Young Sheldon and The Goldberg's thank You they are so radical

Even though that Americans don't have MTV music videos, here in Canada it's the same without MuchMusic, that was well known in Toronto Ontario. But there's other stuff that don't exist anymore which I have seen years ago, even if I wasn't a kid, but still was a young teen back in the early 90's. Nintendo Power game magazine, MAD Magazine's, classic Tube TV's and radio's. The lists go on and on, from what transpired back in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's that aren't around anymore.
