I actually likes the fact that Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man can shoot organic webs. At least he won't have to worry about running out of web fluid or get his shooters destroyed in the heat of battle plus he might've been bitten by a radioactive spider that gave him the ability to do whatever a Spider can (which includes shooting webs)

@sebagonzalezmusic

For me personally, it makes WAY more sense for Spider-Man to shoot organic webbing. He was bitten by a radioactive spider so it makes sense he has natural organic spider abilities (webbing, wall-crawling, agility, strength, heightened senses etc.). And no it doesn’t have to be SUPER pinpoint (Peter doesn’t have to shoot webs out his ass like a real-life spider). I was honestly surprised to learn he created his own web shooters in the comics. I feel like creating web shooters kinda defeats the purpose of him being Spider-Man. Basically, the spider bite itself gave him EVERY natural spider ability, EXCEPT the most defining one (webbing)? I know that Peter creating the webbing himself shows how smart he is, but if he couldn’t or just wasn’t able to, then he wouldn’t even be Spider-Man. Just a very agile, super strong, durable, superhero with heightened sense who could stick to walls. Basically Daredevil with super powers. The comics make it seem like the spider bite only gave him the knowledge or know how to create the shooters and web fluid himself, instead of natural organic webbing. So, I think Raimi definitely did right by the character by giving him organic webbing🕸🕷🦸🏻‍♂️. Besides, he could still be super smart AND have the organic webbing. ALSO, I know the web shooters allow him to use trick webbing, which is useful for different situations. But, who says he can’t have both organic AND web shooters? Or make devices that allow him to do tricks with his organic webbing? Not to mention he’s run out of webbing AND his web shooters have been destroyed and/or knocked , off his wrists. So, if that happens mid-swing or mid-battle, he’s in trouble. But, organic webbing never runs out🕸.
@johnseelinger9803

I read that the reason why Spider-Man uses web shooters in the comics was because Stan Lee found the idea of webs actually coming out of somebody's body as disturbing.

Batman breaking his own rule against killing people, he has done that in earlier comics before DC revamped that detail But, you definitely left out how Johnny Blaze became "The Ghostrider" from this list: In the movie, Mephistopheles approached Johnny Blaze to sell his soul and become the Ghostrider, but it was to cure Johnny's father of cancer In the comicbook, Johnny's father had already died and Johnny was a part of a circus stunt team run by Crash Barton and it was his life that Johnny was attempting to save by selling his soul and he'd approached Mephistopheles, instead of Mephistopheles approaching him and then there's also his chopper being transformed into The Hellbike, in the comicbook, Ghostrider formed the Hellbike from Hellfire instead of transforming Johnny's chopper into the Hellbike The Ben Affleck movie of "Daredevil" also heavily deviated from the original comicbook backstory: Matt Murdock sees his dad working as a thug for crime boss and runs off causing a forklift to have to swerve to avoid him and piercing a barrel of toxic waste in the process, which gave Matt his abilities Season one, episode one of Netflix's adaptation of daredevil was more accurate to the comicbook origin story of how Matt got his abilities as the Daredevil

So we're just going to ignore that he's still coming off as an intelligent aspiring scientist who can have science debates with the likes of Otto Octavius and Norman Osborn? Edit and Spoilers for those who still haven't watched No Way Home. Web shooters or not, he's still brilliant enough to fashion a cure that neutralizes the Green Goblin's powers. Honestly, Tobey's Spider-Man owned the fact that he has organic webs, making him stand out in a very good and iconic way.

Dishonorable Mentions: *How the gang got their powers - Fantastic 4 (2015) -Give the 2005 credit, it at least got that part right. *Dumbing down Bane, literally - Batman and Robin -You thought Freeze and Ivy were bad? Bane got by far the biggest downgrade in my opinion. Bane is known for being a strong mastermind, but here, he's reduced to a dumbass Neanderthal with a very dumbed down vocabulary. Thankfully, The Dark Knight Rises rectified this issue. *Judge Dredd removes his helmet and we can see his face unmasked... a lot. - Judge Dredd -In the comics, we never see Judge Dredd's face under the helmet and when we do, it's obscured or censored, adding to the mystery of the character. But the film seems to ignore this as when he removes his helmet, we can see his face!

Well, despite how weird this sounds, I think they did not want to include Loki's shape-shifting and various children he has as both a father and mother, due to Loki being a shapeshifter. Not because of anything political, it's just that sometimes it is easier to simplify things. Plus, making Hel/Hela Odin's daughter does put a little more emphasis on her and Thor's "Rivalry". As they are siblings both in line for the throne versus Uncle and Niece

I feel it would have been better to say he uses organic webs because it makes no sense for a person who randomly became spiderman to also just so happen to be smart enough to make a gadget that shoots spider webs which making a material strong and effective like a spiderweb is something scientist have been trying to do for decades.

Honorable mentions: - STEEL: In the comics, John Henry Irons took on the Steel mantle as a tribute to the recently-fallen Superman. In this movie, Shaq dresses up as the Brave Big Toaster. - CONSTANTINE: In the comics, he's British. In this movie, he's American and pronounces his name differently. - CAPTAIN MARVEL: In the comics, Carol Danvers got part of her life-force sucked away by Rogue, got brainwashed and basically raped by a dimension-hopper, held multiple superhero identities, and was an especially massive bitch during the events of Civil War II. In this movie, she's...got none of those things. - THE PUNISHER (The one with Dolph Lungren): In the comics, Frank Castle is iconic for his skull motif on the chest. In this movie, the skull never shows up even once. - THE PUNISHER (starring Thomas Jane): In the comics, Frank and his wife and kids were gunned down by criminals during a picnic at a park, with Frank as the only survivor. In this movie, the family was at a huge family reunion with other relatives when they were all cut down by the goons of Howard Saint (an original villain with no comic counterpart). - CATWOMAN: In the comics, Catwoman's real name is Selina Kyle, and she's a non-powered thief with a romantic relationship with Batman. In this movie, her name is Patience Phillips, and she's basically The Crow with cats instead of birds (and there's no Batman). - THE CROW: In the comics, Eric and Shelly were murdered during a random roadside robbery, the main villain was T-Bird, and it was largely unclear whether the supernatural elements were real or just hallucinations Eric was having. In this movie, the couple was specifically targeted at home because Shelly was fighting illegal tenant evictions, the villain was Top Dollar (a minor villain in the comic, with T-Bird being his lackey here), and the supernatural elements were definitely there.

Some others: - Star-Lord’s father & his signature guns. In the comics, Quill’s father is J’Son, king of the planet of Spartax who gives him his elemental guns, which can not only shoot bladter shots but also various elements like ice & electricity. In the MCU, his guns are not able to shoot elements & his father was changed to Ego the Living Planet. - Rhino in Amazing Spider-Man 2. In the comics, Rhino is a massive Russian mob enforcer wearing an indestructible combat suit that makes him look like a rhino. Not what Paul Giamatti’s average gangster in a rhino-looking mech is supposed to be. - Captain Marvel’s origin. In the comics, Carol gets her powers from a device called a Psyche-Magnitron, which mixes her human DNA with Kree DNA. In the MCU, Carol gets her powers from exposure to energy from the Tesseract & was given Kree DNA from Yon-Rogg. - Pietro & Wanda Maximoff’s origin. In the MCU, Pietro & Wanda get their powers after being experimented on by Hydra with the Mind Stone. In the comics, their powers come from their mutant DNA. - Mantis’s origin. In the comics, Mantis was an ordinary human being of Vietnamese descent who was trained by a sect of the Kree in martial arts & was believed to be the Celestial Madonna, a powerful being in the universe. She also possessed a high intelligence & was incredibly confident. In the MCU, she is a servant of Ego who is the complete opposite of her comic counterpart, as she is not a skilled martial artist & is incredibly timid.

I'll be honest, when I first get Batman and Robin and Barbara was revealed as Alfred's niece... I was clueless. I was Still a kid and, truth be told, not only not big into comic books, but we had VERY little Batman anything. I grew up with the first 4 live action Batman movies so was completely clueless that Barbara was supposed to be Gordon's daughter and, for years, it never even clicked. It was only after I left high school I actually stopped to think about it one night watching the movie on DVD and, by that point, I just shrugged it off as "eh, alternate timeline". As for Toby's Spider-Man's organic webbing... I actually really liked the idea and Still do. Granted, I see it as a "this is a Rarity among the spiderverse" kinda thing. I certainly prefer spidey getting his webs the more traditional way, but Toby's Spider-Man's organic webbing honestly just works. I dunno why, but I feel like that series of movies just wouldn't be the same without them. It's why I'm looking forward to the part in No Way Home when Tom Holland's Spider-Man is going to ask about it

Another time a superhero movie was unfaithful to the comics was with Bane's story in The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight Rises shows how he was a mercenary born in a pit and how he helped Talia al Ghul escape the pit, but got badly injured afterward and had to wear a mask. In the comics, he was born in a prison, and had a teddy bear as his only friend. He got his super strength from venom that circulated through tubes in his back, and he wears a totally different type of mask in the comics as well. I don't really know the reason why Bane wore a mask in the comics, and if people say it might be because he looked ugly from that venom circulating throughout his body and wears a mask to hide his ugliness, I'm not really sure that would be the reason, because in the video game Batman: Arkham Origins, when you fight Bane as a final boss, he's not wearing his mask. His face looked rather normal before you fight him as a final boss, and his face didn't look much different when he injected himself with TN-1.

And that fact that the Shang Chi movie addressed this was icing on the cake #3 Zack Synder has made good decisions but THIS wasn't one of them #2 I hated this change to Taskmaster. Actually for the first Spider-Man movie, Ramie was thinking that it would've been impossible for Peter to create the webbing, even though in both the comics (and the 90's animated series), it's been stated several times, that making the webbing was actually instinctual. So he knew through the spider bite how to make the webbing, and the fans nailed him on it after that. However Marvel decided to adapt their comics to the movies for a short time and gave Peter in the comics organic webbing. It wasn't a move that the fans liked, and eventually switched it back.
