Very good post. But one notion needs to be debunked, and that goes for all systems on the market. "can fire as far as 30 kms to 42 kms, so the protections, are useless when you're so far from your adversaries" No no no. The war between Armenia and Azerbaijan showed us that drones and loitering munitions are here to stay, and will not care about you being 30-42km away. That is nothing. And when your firing position is hit by them, you would want to be in an armored vehicle and not standing there like cannon fodder.

You can carry a Caesar 8x8 by plane. The A400M can carry a payload of up to 37 tons and the C-17 can carry 77 tons

There is also the MGS 25 Aleksandar fully automatic with a 100m fiberoptic cable so the shells can be fired from a safer distance with INS/GPS and advanced sensors etc. But the BK 1 Perun should be even better with bigger revolver type magazines, 24 shells and 24 powder charges instead of the 12X12 like Aleksandar has plus an additional magazine that is automatically loaded(both Aleksandar and BK1 Perun) 155mm .

Kamikaze drones also do a better job than artillery in terms of destroying equipment; for example, 70 km from the front, a lancet hit Ukrainian MIG29 who were far from military operations. Caesar's lancet was more often damaged or destroyed, archer did not change much the conflict in Ukraine - this even applies to pzh2000 - now everything is better only for those who have parity over the production of Drones.

I must tell you that my opinion is that near your! 100% it's that two best howitzers in the world, but I must tell you in what part Archer have average and don't have against last model of Nora ( upgraded Alexandar MGS-25) ! Onli Archer and Nora have 2-3 the crew in armored cabin! Nobody doesn't go out for cabin to operate the whole sistem and fired from cannon until rounds is in chambers from both howitzers! First different is that Archer have 21 round opposite 24 rounds in Nora chamber! When they fired all of rounds,Nora have behind operates cabin another 24 rounds, opposite Archer. Then Archer must go or wait another vehicle and load one by one manually another 21 round! Another for me big different thing is that Archer have only two "foot" in the back of howitzer! I mean that Nora with 4 "foot" have average in uneven terrain. If we have dent or hole on last part of howitzers,Nora can use hidraulic rate to level the platform, but Archer can't do it. Because in Archer is onli rate on the back side and driver must find flat surface! Another thing is that Archer used only Swedish army! Norway army odered some number of howitzers and then annulled oder!? They're rich country,I doesn't think that Archer was to expensive for them! It must be something about Archer like howitzer. If you know what they have bye, please send me what is it!?? In our case,we sold over 140 units from first version to almost last one! Ciprus have bought 24 units Nora Alexander TGS! It's not like Alexandar MGS-25,model before,and with that they also bought 8 armored personal transporters Milos M16 with 12,7 mm remote control fire station,made in Serbia also! Last thing is the price. Our is 1,8 in contrast 4 milion euro for Archer! For the end,the better part of Archer is that it's faster than Nora and that's impressive! My opinion is that Archer will be chosen by Americans, because we (Serbs) can made the best thing in the world , they're going to choose someone else because they hate us,we don't play like they won't. Also we hate them because, they have destroy our country in 99.bombing campaign.More then 150 billions of dollars made damage,but they didn't come to our Kosovo and Metohia like in iraq,afganistan,siria,libia... Ova iz SBS Velike Plane je nova, 42 kalibra sa novom gasnom komorom, ima i verzija sa 28L gasnom komorom koja i municiju bez gasogeneratora more da pogura na preko 50km. ;)

Arcer jeste bolji ali se ne isplati jer je preskup, zato je Srbija i uspijela izvesti više Nora nego Švedska Arcera. I snorted a bit when I saw that, Brutus (assuming it actually gets bought in numbers) is going to be the best regular "traditional artillery" assuming it replaces all the M777s. But as a shoot and scoot SPG it doesn't cut it slow to set up, large crew, no crew protection, and multiple vehicles required. Like you said unless its about being suited for rapid reaction forces its a bad pick. I'd say the real number one is the Remote Controlled Howitzer 155 (RCH 155) assuming it does what claimed in the advertising. I hope the US's slow updating of their SPG fleet is them waiting for the cream to rise to the top and integrating the best lessons learned from conflicts like Ukraine.

@@link10909 I've read the US army are checking out Archer real close since 2020, to maybe integrate it as a large part in their lineup. But there in-country production on licence and tech-sharing is a huge deal, so let's hope for a mutual Swedish/US profitable deal.
