AMEN! I've driven Mercedes cars for the past 24 years. Bought my first one when I was 19. But not new ones; OLD ones - 1980s diesels. Back when they built good cars. My daily driver is 37 years old, paid for, restored to near-new condition, no emissions inspections, no check engine light, just a solid old car that any idiot can work on himself. I have another one with 752K miles on it. Good old cars back then. I see the flashy newer cars pass me, and I smile, imagining how much their payment is every month, lol!!

No way that would cost 2000 unless she went to the stealership.
@robindear5043
@robindear5043 4 года назад
The cost to fix her Ford Fusion would have conservatively been only about $600-800. Why in the name of all that's sacred she would get rid of that car to buy a $20,000 Ford Fusion? If I heard right, wasn't the "newer" Ford Fusion only a few years newer than the car she got rid of?
@billgateskilledmyuncle23
@billgateskilledmyuncle23 4 года назад
@@robindear5043 it's a woman thing and an emotional decision. I remember when my mom's water heater went out and as we were mopping up the water because the tank busted, she started shouting that she was going to sell her house. I told her that's like selling your car over a dead battery. If women would take an interest in fixing things themselves, they would think more analytically. The only way to have a car that never needs brake work is to not own a car or trade yearly.
@robindear5043
@robindear5043 4 года назад
I think she was being shortsighted in her decision, and now regrets it. It may have taken a few days, maybe even a few weeks, but she could have inquired around and found a mechanic or shop that could've fixed her car for a reasonable price. I have known just as many men who make emotional, "spur of the moment" decisions, then later, after the smoke clears, they regret it. This has nothing to do with gender. Will she negotiate with the dealership to return the car, even though her 30 days have passed? I doubt it. She didn't mention it, but I wonder if she traded her car in for the $20,000 one, or has it sitting in her driveway?

School definitely is not for everyone and it can cause debt if you jump in blindly. However if you get a degree in a high paying career, you can pay that debt off easily with your income. This is especially true if you take study seriously by not flunking subjects and semesters, working a part time job while you study and paying it off as you go. Everyone in my family has followed this formula and been successful with it

One of my good friends is from Singapore, I'm American. I was telling her how I'm paying off credit card debt. She goes, "How do credit cards work?" I said, "You don't know how a credit cards work? Don't you use them?" She was confused. She said, "In Singapore, credit cards are not popular there. If we can't afford something, we just don't buy it." ....... I was dumbfounded.... Was 67,000 (mostly student loans) in debt when I started listening and incorporating his principles. A year and two months later I’m still 29,000 in debt never though I’d be able to pay even that much, it takes time but it works. Ramen noodles are delicious btw.

I was 67K (all student loans) in debt 3 years ago. It's now $17K. Staying consistent is key. Also you may wanna try some rice and beans sometime 😁 keep your eye on the ball. You can do this!

Beans and rice with Mexican blend cheese on top is also delicious. My husband and I are debt free for over a year now but we still eat beans and rice once or twice a week because we like it so much.

Whenever I'm stressed about the increasing cost of property, interest rate, paying bills and not being able to buy a house for myself (single income) at almost 40 years of age, I listen to this channel. It makes me feel like I'm actually not doing too bad. 😢 I'm debt-free, have an emergency fund, invest in the shares which are doing well, and have a job.

My best friend went to Cape Town for a speaking tour and along the way met his wife. I have met so many SA folks in the US and I have respect for them as we were once like them, but our culture has changed and we are not as strong as they are. I have been fascinated with the nation and have been learning Afrikaans language going on 2 year's on Mondly Language App. I have been #1 in the US a few times and I know thousands of words, a few hundred phrases and enjoy learning more. I don't know if I will ever be able to do sentence structure or Grammar well, but I hope when his wife is here that we can both teach one another language. What part of the country are you in? What type of work do you do? 🇿🇦🌝

I was considering buying a new to me small suv because I'm disabled and my small car is so hard to get in & out of. It's paid off, though. And nickel & diming me right now. But watching these vids, I'm keeping the car & saving until I can pay cash for another vehicle! And I'm debt free now, thank the Lord!!
