TOP 10 UNDERRATED JRPGs | PART 1 

FF Type-0 is so ahead of its time. The graphics, animations and story are epic! Truly a must play for those fan of FF series and serious JRPG. Good choice!

I keep hearing about the Ys franchise and I wouldn't mind playing at least one of them and since Origin is a PS4 and Switch game if I ever get the chance, I might try it out. As far as games I think are underrated, even amongst JRPG enthusiasts like myself, I would put these games on there- Skies of Arcadia (Sega Dreamcast/Gamecube)- Legends is the GC game. That game seriously needs a remaster for the Switch. Well, I call it underrated, but I do know that it has a cult following. Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis (PS2)- This is a spin-off of the Atelier series (in fact Van appeared in that one Atelier game that featured a bunch of chars from the franchise). I recommend this game because while it still has alchemy that the franchise is known for, I feel it's most action oriented and story driven. Granda 2 (Dreamcast)- Game recently got released with the original game for a 20th anniversary rendition on the PS4 (I think you can only get an e-copy of the set though). I haven't played that version though. What I love most about Grandia 2 is it's story. It was the first JRPG I ever played and finished and it made me a better person. The gameplay is very unique because you have the ability to cancel opponent's attack, which became critical during boss battles. Eternal Sonata (XBox 360/PS3)- This is my fav game. I actually recommend the original XBox version because the gameplay is better for it doesn't have as bad difficulty spikes as the PS3 version, even though that has extra content. I say if this game ever gets remastered, I say keep the gameplay of the XBOX, but keep the other stuff of the PS3 version. Oh and for crying out loud, PLEASE make Crescendo faster. The dude is slower then Jazz and he has a short weapon. At least Jazz makes up for his lack of speed with a huge sword. But yeah, those are my fav underrated JRPGs I've played.

tAlK to mY LAwYeR. Honestly though, Shining Force EXA aged like fine wine. A fantastic JRPG/ARPG hybrid that im still playing in 2022. Its also not TOO anime, which i can always appreciate.

I loved earthlock. I bought it digital on ps4, then I bought the physical version and I got the platinum. Brave Story is my favourite psp game. And shadowhearts my favourite ps2 jrpg series
