When I worked in a duty free store in the 1990s (while I was paying my way through uni) I remember seeing all these fragrances. I wish I'd bought a few for posterity! I remember we occasionally got some of these for free as a Christmas present or a bonus. Just goes to show that you never fully appreciate things at the time.
Awesome list, just got a sample of the vintage D&G pour Homme and it’s definitely better smelling than the current formula which I have had a bottle of in the past
Very nice list. I do really enjoy the original Givenchy Gentlman. That was my grandfathers signature scent. I also really enjoyed the original Eau Sauvage a lot last summer. Great video
@@MrSmelly1977 I just got Patrick Cologne in yesterday. It’s made by an Irish company. Smells really good too. Not as old as those others but still came out in the late 90’s
Great video and great picks! I have many of theses and love them as well. Opium EDP is one of my alltime favorites as well. I never smelled By D&G or Givenchy Monsieur, though.
Kouros all the way. I’m in my 30s but I fell in love with Kouros. Now I own 6 different bottles from all the eras and my favorite is Parfum Corp. I also enjoy vintage Chanel Antaeus and Chanel Egoiste. I prefer old colognes and niche. Mainstream nowadays is super boring and every guy, a chav or a manager smells of Sauvage, Bleu or other decent yet boring stuff. Now I’m going to get a vintage bottle of Fahrenheit. Cheers!
Great selections--Have you ever tried Giorgio Beverly Hills for men and Giorgio Beverly Hills Red? If not you might enjoy them, probably up your alley. Not sure if you have ever covered them?
Great Video Dan and some beautiful Fragrances it always makes me wanna cry when you show a 125ml of D&G pour Homme having several back in the day it's kind of a unicorn for me now🙏
I'm an older guy's and I've worn some of the Best fragrances available and have and had some of the very most hard to find fragrances that have not been available for years and have tried so much to pull a vintage fougere off But almost everyone and I mean everyone has an odd reaction to a vintage barbershop type gentleman scent almost like there being nice by saying ah" it's very dated or ya smell like my grandfather or something like that IMO" The only recent fragrances that Sean to help bring that scent into modern times is like Zaharof or Tom Fords Beu du jour or Gravitas Honestly no matter what Bottle or name you slap on a cool looking bottle it's still that dated scent 😏Just saying
Hey MrSmelly, did you hear of Jil Sanders Man Pure (1981) ? Its a hidden gem and would really suit your type of fragrance selection in my opinion. I wish some reviewer would finally talk about it
Hi Dan, I hear people say that fragrances have a "shelf life". Given the subject matter of your video that can't be right. What do you think? Can fragrances be kept for decades and remain unchanged?
Kouros - additional products, I remember around 1987. I had this fragrance as a Christmas gift but my girlfriend had also purchased the Kouros self tan lotion in a dark blue tube. Probably to make her look less orange on our nights out! That tanning stuff really smelt bad even with the YSL addition. Cheers and thank you.
Great review as always! I own the 2017 version of eau sauvage parfum and it's a great fragrance, but I really love the 2011 - 2012 version but can never find anyone selling a bottle and just once someone on ebay selling a 50ml for 300.00 dollar's which i thought was a bit ridiculous in price for just the 50ml lol . Anyways all this said because maybe you had a suggestion on a different fragrance that came close to smelling like the eau sauvage parfum 2012 version.
Tonka bean, vanilla, amber, oak moss, patchouli, rose and iris, the notes in the Parvotti sound amazing. Sometimes I wonder why they discontinue fragrances when its still so good. This is one I would have hoped to smell.
I didn't know you had Opium edp! What a great scent. Had a tissue next to me the whole time in an attempt to stem the salivation. In the end, I just changed my shirt.
Buddy, Could you please make a review od Bentley Momentum Intense from 2017 ? It’s clone of Carolina Herrera CH Man but fresher, longer lasting (around 12 hours) and cheaper (20 pounds). On RU-vid there are not too many reviews of the fragrance. You are my last hope🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I love your content !! Cheers
...tried to join-up on Patreon last week...everything went fine until the very end when it could/would not recognize the country I was in and told me to please try again later...nothing opened, I had no access, absolutely no indication if I was registered or not...tried to register using a different password only to be told the e-mail address had already been used! still no access...then the next day I got an e-mail saying they were deleting my account due to “suspicious activity”...lol!!! very disappointing...I’m pretty much too old for “do overs”...if something doesn’t work the first time I have plenty of other distractions...will make an exception and try again in the future...

There won’t ever and I mean EVER be a better vanilla note than Opium EDP delivering that addictive sensation . Screw the Penhaligons Lp9 , nothing surpasses the master Opium 🤘
