This show picks up where Young Sheldon left off. What I am looking forward to most is what the characters will be up to while he's away. I know this show will be mostly about Georgie and Mandy, but it has been confirmed that the other characters will also be seen every now and then. One thing I am hoping for most is closure for Paige Swanson. We didn't get that during the final season of Young Sheldon, and it's just as upsetting to not know what happens to her as much as it would be to see her succumb to the trauma of her struggles. I know what you're think about how her presence wouldn't make much sense without Sheldon or Missy, but if you take a moment to think outside the box, you'd be surprised to find that there are many creative ways to address the end of her story without straying away from the overall theme of the show.
Imagine if in like 3-5 years we get a spin-off of this show called “Georgie and his Tire Shop” or something. It would be a spinoff of a spinoff of a spinoff
In an interview i heard the reason they could change things said in the Big Bang Theory is because sheldon is older now with a kid and sees things differently then he did before
I think that was pretty obvious early on. With the voice overs and stuff I told my parents that I think he's writing a book and realizing that he mis understood alot as a kid.
Chuck Lorre has stated that he regretted he had written in TBBT that George Cooper Sr. had died when Sheldon was 14, because on YS he had to apply that detail. Maybe now he learns from his mistakes, breaks that path that TBBT has dictated and keeps Georgie and Mandy’s marriage existing. Who knows? because again, it’s not like Lorre hadn’t ever broken on YS any detail the original story had featured on TBBT I’d like to see Georgie and Mandy’s marriage lasts. And even if eventually it needs to be cut, at least have it done nicely.
@@robbykunkel5263 Recently rewatched TBBT. Sheldon said George got married 3 times, but he did mention him having three ex wives. I mean they could try a way to spin that or just ignore it (I think most won't hold them to a throwaway line in one episode if the show is well done), everything doesn't line up in Young Shedlon and TBBT as it is. But it definitely does seem like the show will be about their doomed marriage.
The only thing I hope is that they become a happy family and just because 20 F*CKING YEARS AGO they said Georgie had 2 ex wives doesn’t mean they can go through that route just let Georgie and Mandy be happy together they are very great together Emlily Osment (Mandy) said that it would be interesting if they got divorced and remarried that to me personally sounds way better the only part is the fact that Georgie owns a tire company and they set that up but they could have Jim run it with him also they don’t follow the story of big bang to young Sheldon I guess it’s kinda upsetting to know that Mandy and Georgie won’t last very long due to the status of their relationship but I mean they just got married hopefully as time goes on they get better together

I believe that the whole show (Young Sheldon) was based on Sheldon's Memoirs. He made his Dad out to be a great guy and the role play of his parents was in his memoirs as well. His true realities of what really happened is based on the Big Bang Theory. His writing was to show that he came from a good family and not the reality that was presented to us on The Big Bang Theory. This is why his professors nor Paige was ever mentioned. He wrote a fantasy novel about a Good, Wholesome Family. He made his Meemaw out to be a with it (in Sheldon's mind) granny who had a little danger in her. The whole show (Young Sheldon) is based on a fantasy that Sheldon wrote in his Autobiography.
Nah what it’s gonna be is that the reality IS young Sheldon, bc we see so many scenes that Sheldon wasn’t there for, and the biased perception was his memories as an adult. Sheldon never quite understood all the sacrifices his family made for him or their nuances which is why he was so harsh to them as an adult. It’s only after Amy and his son that he looks back and realizes how good his family actually was
Mandy and Georgie's first marriage. Is it being implied not only have they been married more than once but have they been married more than once toneach other?
People talking nonsense about big bang implying that they said Georgie had 2 wives but they can leave that part out cuz they left so much of big bang out of young Sheldon which in my opinion was the best thing to do cuz big bang didn’t really have much for young Sheldon and young Sheldon didn’t follow big bang which I think is great cuz that could mean Mandy and Georgie stay together and I hope they do cuz I love them they’re so cute together and it’s so lovely they got a daughter together pls don’t take that away from us and destroy their relationship pls don’t😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Mandy & her relationship w/ Georgie did made Young Sheldon more enjoyable again after it felt that it got a bit stale after Sheldon went to college. I just hope it won’t last long; maybe only 2 or 3 seasons would be better without making the show stale later on.
Honest their relationship is the best in vey interesting the only thing people are concerned is the fact that nearly 20 years ago the Big Bang theory show said that Georgie had 2 ex wives but they literally could leave that part out and instead could get them divorced and remarried and stay together that those 2 choices are good but staying together is way better but just don’t make them divorce forever cause that would be so disappointing the finale for season 7 young Sheldon was so sad pls do not make Georgie and Mandy first marriage like that plus people really love they’re dynamic and the fact that he’s 18 and she’s 30 years old but they are still an amazing couple I love them both
Honestly this season of young Sheldon has had much less of actual Sheldon and more on the side characters. I can definitely see Georgie show working out well. As they had most of the screen time this season
This spinoff with Georgie and mandie is rather interesting as it will have free will to its direction being as big bang theory single handily wrote a lot of young Sheldon leading it to follow a path in a lot of ways. This spin off really only has to follow how Georgie became a king in the tire business and there child has a whole story ahead of them.
Considering the series is called “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage”, it could be possible they get divorced and then remarried. But we’ll have to wait and see….
I'm going to miss YS. Is there anyway Aunt Missy could visit Georgie's spinoff. Better yet to kinda keep an important part of Sheldon's with us. We need a Spinoff with Sheldon's twin sister. Next to Sheldon Missy was my favorite character. I wish Missy was the character to have been offered the Spinoff. Missy had a special relationship with her Me Maw and she could easily be a part of Missy's Spinoff. Missy being the opposite of Sheldon I'm sure it would be exciting and hilarious .
I feel like we'll still see Sheldon in the spinoff but not as a major character.. Maybe every once in a while, the family visits him in California or he comes back for the break. Also, Georgie is probably gonna need some brains in designing some better tires to sell his business. Sheldon would obviously refuse but I could envision him enlisting another genius: Paige and hopefully bringing closure to her story.

It would be cool after the Georgy and Mandy's show there will be another one called after the big bang that focuses on Sheldon and Amy's life after the og series that way we can't just find out what happened to the characters after young Sheldon and og like cameos of mandy being a weather girl
Honesty and I really hope they honor of the legacy of young Sheldon or should I say Sheldon sort of in the next Georgie and Mandy 🙏👍. So I am pretty excited for that I will miss the young Sheldon still always been my favorite show and of course the Big bang theory I had to give it to my number one, I would say it was been sort of great adventure of this journey telling the story of Sheldon Cooper and his family I will miss Sheldon 😢 hope we see him again
It always made me laugh after watching this show. That he actually chose MIT over Cal. Because one the weather stopped him from going there. Lel! He always called it a trade school but it wasn't even close to a trade school. Lol!
Honestly, it feels it was the entire last season. Having the season cut so short with an ending that feels so abrupt, I can't seem to feel that the ending of Young Sheldon was disrespectful. It seems like the had a new hottness in town, and wanted to get rid of the old as quickly as possible. While having tons of open questions, that will probably be answered in the next spin off. I think they only thing they did right in the last season, was the death of Geroge Sr. Everybody knew it was coming, so no need for something uber-dramatic.
Looking forward to the next chapter. I just hope they don't make Georgie a cheater bc we know they split up from TBBT. I just love Georgie and that would change if he's a cheater
I won’t be watching. I can’t imagine them being able to stay true to the storyline created by Big Bang. As in, we already know they end in divorce, and if memory serves, Sheldon’s brother was married twice. And went to jail.
I can’t watch it either but on the bright side they actually didn’t carry the storyline from big bang to young Sheldon I just hope that Mandy and Georgie stay together and instead they could do what Emily Osment suggested which was to divorce them and remarry which is way better but what would be even better is if they don’t divorce seeming as to people loving Georgie and Mandy’s relationship as a couple
I’m hoping the name of the show is just a cute push to say if they break up they are right back together. I don’t remember older Georgie really talking about women or Sheldon saying anything about older Georgie and women. Did I forget something (it’s possible)?
I think they never will.. On the TBBT, Georgie said that Sheldon did not talk to him for 10 years and just showed up in his office to invite him for his wedding.. Its the Sibling Realignment episode, I think..
The worst the parents did was baptized the poor little girl. I understand they were helping out but it wasn't their choice who or what religion the little girl was going to be. Especially, mary. She should've minded her own business and let them choose over forcing her religion to that poor little girl. The mother is usually the one that chooses and not the father. Mary, would've lost this one. I couldn't forgive Mary for doing this to that poor child. Religion is a huge thing and you can't force something on someone. If they did that on one of Mary children. Mary, should've been on her period crying and hating everyone. These are one of the worst things she did or done. She was the such a horrible person in this show. During the Big Bang Theory, she was such a horrible person. She acted like a good person but she would show her true colours. She used her religion to try and act like a good person. She always did the opposite of what she was claiming in her religion. These are some of the things that made her such a horrible person. It was sad and even worst that she did things that made her act like a good but wasn't. She actually made people hate her religion because she did things that wasn't good for her. This was one of the worst things she ever did. Plus, trying to force her child at age 17 to get married. She didn't realize that he was too young to get married. I just hated watching her at times during this show and the Big Bang. I hate when people use religion to get their way and thinking they're going to heaven because they're doing what the bible is doing.
