Considering it’s red and white, much like a Pokéball, it’s pretty much an empty Pokéball. It’s stats suck, it’s movepool is awful, and it’s signature move is more a badge of dishonor that occasionally heals the target. Only good Things about Delibird are its design and its cry in the anime, but even that’s giving it some credit.
That's exactly my idea for a new Type Chart to help the Ice Type. It should've always resisted Water/Flying/Ground, and I dunno why it never did officially
@@cobalt7248 Might be that Gamefreak really hates the typing for some reason. I really like the type and those buffs are desperately needed, alongside making Hail not damage Steel, Rock or Fire so that Hail can have more versatility.
They should just give Dewgong a third evolution. I can imagine it having high a high attack, special attack and speed, and maybe it could have a glowing rainbow horn, or a ice horn. Dewgong is underrated to me, and I think it deserves much better
Eiscue can be a risky pokemon to use if going against a special attacker or if the opponent surprises you with a special move. But with it's ability and Belly Drum and the right moves, it can be an absolute beast at sweeping pokemon.
The problems with it don't even end there though. Even if it goes against a team made up at 100% by physical attackers, it still probably will never be able to do it's job because after it's HP has been cut by Belly Drum (even if it's Sitrus) it will still be vulnerable to Priority once the mask is off (and if you ever face a fully physically offensive team, chances are that you'll face a lot of priority, a majority of which will be super effective) or Pokémon that are plain faster than it even in it's new form (unless you used a Salaac berry but then you are even more vulnerable to priority). Eiscue is like the poster child of "neat in theory but almost never works in practice except maybe once in a blue moon or against your little cousin, you're probably better off running something else"
@@reversecero9673 Mystic is somewhat of an idiot sometimes has he ever heard of trick room teams. putting Aurous and Hatterene together with the trick room is good.
Hatterene is a strong as fuck. Modest nature with full hp, assault vest Moves: future sight, draining kiss, mystical fire and giga drain. Imm telling you that btch is my main
Whoa now, Frosmoth actually grew on me to a point that I ran one in my first play through of Sword. It did well enough. Snom grew on me too but I love Frosmoth
I used in Walrein in black 2 and it was really good, so I don’t know how you could put it at the fourth worst ice type when Abomasnow didn’t even make the list
Both abamasnow And Walrein are good. His lists are always bad. Instead is using the actual weakest/strongest he always tries to be unpredictable and makes a shitty list...arctovish is on this list... come on now. This dude either would get skull fucked competitively or he's just . no jynx yet mr rime...smh
@@jeffreyprice9790 While I’ll agree that Mystic’s lists are not very accurate (Manectric in worst electric smh) Jynx doesn’t deserve to be near this list same with Abomasnow
Abomasnow even had niches in ubers it isn't even close to be on the list In other hand beartic and crabominable have to be there instead of aurorus and wlarein which both are better competetively Honorable mentions for the worst ice types articuno on of the least used legendaries competetively it even struggles in PU there is cryogonal too but definitely not abomasnow or jynx 🤣 they are not OP like mamoswine or weavile but they are definitely decent
I will fight you about Aurorus' design. >_> I find it absolutely majestic. I agree with the rest of the assessment, which is unfortunate for the poor thing. I have used Glaceon before in just a normal play through and....yeeeeeah.....not great. I love Glaceon but....yeeeeah. Noooo Snom and Frosmoth! ;-; I'm not surprised, but still, poor baby. Poor Dewgong. I love Dewgong but yeeeeeah. Delibird is the worst. Of all time.
Frosmoth is actually a Pokemon I wanted to see in Sword and Shield due to the type combination. Even though it isn't very impressive, I like Frosmoth because I wished to see how its typing would work. Plus, it looks beautiful and elegant.
I know right? Ice type is to the sword as steel is to the shield. Look at the successful ice types: Darmanitan, Kyrem, Wevile, Mamoswine. I have gotten many sweeps with frosmoth, but had its speed and movepool been better it would solidly be with its fellow moth Volcarona in higher tiers.
I mean.. I wouldnt say "almost all" but Gamefreak should still work on fixing the ice type on a fundamental level, hail sucks, the type chart sucks, and a LOT of pokemon suck, imo they should just give them a resist to water and ground and go on from there
@@An_Entire_Lime I of course exaggereated. Bu you get what I mean, even the ice types with good offensive stats often lack the speed stats to make them good. Rock Types often suffer from the same issue. Either make faster offensive ice types or fix the type chart as you suggested
YES I WAS THINKING THE SAME. Im going to tell you here walrein is a fucking monster and competivly was and is a monster being named wallrein. And as jaidenanimations once said “it can tank alot of hits and do alot of damage”
@@k_dotnet3197 I used one on my Shield team, and it did well. It's extremely fragile, but if you can time things right, it works well enough as a glass cannon.
Man... This video made me sad for ice types... It's my third favorite type but I can't deny the issues this typing has. Glaceon, I love you and your my second favorite Pokemon of all time but I can't ignore the facts. Ice type, NEEDS a buff in general.
Literally frosmoth is my favorite ice type. It’s absolutely beautiful. 😂😂 i tore piers apart with mine with quiver dance and bug buzz. Every galar playthrough I HAVE to have a snom because of frosmoth.
I’m using a delibird in a run of Pokémon gold. I traded it over from a silver playthrough I finished, bred it with octillery so it could learn aurora beam and then taught it fly and thief. I plan on giving it hidden power as its fourth move.
"I like to look at things...at a pokemon as a whole, not under a single circumstance", having had a full fanboy section about Dracovish, which only has one set. Walrein shouldn't be a consideration let alone a pick, crab is good under TR. The rest of the picks are pretty good with ok-ish reasoning.
Gamefreak have made ice type so weak . They should give them a buff in gen 9 . They should resist water , ground or maybe bug too and should be super effective against water because Ice freezes water anyways and water type is already so op , nerfing them a little won't be much of a deal . Ice types are only resisted to themselves which is so stupid .
Honestly I think Glaceon should be higher yes it's speed stat is 65 but Glaceon wrecks Ground Water (Freeze Dry) and Dragon types put a quick claw on Glaceon and she destroys everything.
I have to agree quite a few pokemon on this list were actually pretty good and some of them like Frostmoth or Mr. Rime have a potential of sweeping a team if set up right. Even though I agree with the number 1 and 2 but and a couple of more but he really needs to do more research and watch some videos by "Pimpnite".
I'm sad that Frostmoth, Aurorus and Glaceon are on the list. I love them and Snom and Amaura also Amaura is one of my favorite fossil Pokemon and Snom is really cute and Glaceon is one of the coolest eeveevolutions that I love. I like Delibird but I agree with you of it being on the list because of the move present. Also do fighting next or have you done the fire type yet I think I remember a fire type thumbnail.
Delibird and Dewgong are both Pokémon that I think would be a lot better if they got evolutions. I was thinking of a Water/Fighting Dewgong evolution based on elephant seals and a branched evolution for Delibird - an Ice/Flying evolution based on Santa (obviously), and a Dark/Flying evolution based on Krampus, a monster from German folklore that is said to scare children who misbehave before Christmas.
this must be for competitive play because if used 2 of the apparently worst ones to curve stop the elite 4 and the champions. Olso the opsesion with speed is a dead giveaway
I love Glaceon. I once got a kill with Orion (that's what I named him) with a Super Effective Shadow Ball, largely because my opponent didn't think Orion could hurt his Gallade
Why the hell WALREIN in this list? It is probably one of strongest ice pokemon especially in Hoenn . It is too weird to compare Pokemon mostly on speed only. That one spot took me off from this video tbh.
Strongest in Hoenn (assuming your statement is true) does not translate to strongest in the whole dex. Also, speed really matters, especially in competitive scene, unless you are defensive mons. Walrein is somewhat bulky, but not enough and too slow and weak to deal enough damage.
i know this is gonna take a while, but once you get done with the weakest of every type can you mash them all together and find the weakest of all these weaklings?
Fun Fact: Icesque is the first Pokémon in existence, after 23 years of life, that made me finally say "This doesn't look like a Pokémon. And calling it a Digimon would be an insult to Digimon."
Dewgong should've been a Lapras Pre-evo. Typing matches, The biology could work well. Also Imagine Dewgong with Evolite. I can totally see it working out.
Let’s do Top 10 Weakest Psychic-types next! And this time, it should probably have Girafarig in it, because it doesn’t really work out well in battle. In fact, you should’ve had that one in the Weakest Normal-types list, but I guess its Normal-typing isn’t really notable as much, and the list of Normal-types is perfectly solid anyway. Good job. 👍🏼
They have a prejudice against Ice types. Even the actually properly bulky Glastrier is only NU. If your Ice-type Pokémon is not one of those 10 good Pokémon plus Kyurem this generation, it’s pretty bad. Even then, Kyurem and its forms aren’t doing much in the tiers they’re in.
