There's no denying Japan has some great roller coasters....but what about the bizarre, obscure ones? While touring the countries most notable theme parks, I came across a lot of very strange roller coasters, which I have compiled together for todays video!

Space Fantasy was build in a previous structure that before was used for shows and expositions and I believe at some point had a wild mouse in it. Because the roof is so low it indeed has 3 lifthills. I love that ride. It's a great family coaster, not very fast and with enough light to take in the great scenery. It is also interactive since towards the end of the ride you have to press the button in your car, but for non Japanese visitors the audio explenation and other storytelling will unfortunately be completely unknown as nowhere in the ride is anything other than Japanse used. None the less, one of the best family oriented rides I've ever been on.

Actually it was the former building for ET, but Universal wanted that space for a coaster to rival Space Mountain, but due to budget cuts had to settle with using the former building of ET.

Looks like you fixed the numbers. Awesome list and the top 3 are all very odd. I imagine there are also plenty of unique but odd non-coaster attractions that could probably be part of their own list in Japan as well which is cool. Gekion Live has a rhythm game at the beginning because rhythm games are insanely popular in Japan and your comparison to Guitar Hero makes sense as it is indeed a rhythm game.

6:00 This coaster's trains are actually rotated based on a timetable (ex: The backwards sitdown train operates from opening to 12pm and 4pm-closing and the standup train operates from 1pm-3pm). Also, that ride was originally built as Star Jet (not to be confused with the one in Seaside Heights that fell into the ocean in 2012)

Diavlo needs to be repainted BADLYYYYYY :D I mean it doesn't mean that it's going to rot, no no, but the paint is just not the best looking, unless it were painted all black and not looking like rust lol

I like Panic Coaster Back Daaaan but I really miss the ride it replaced, Tokyo Panic Cruise. It was a clone of Spider-Man at USJ/Islands of Adventure but absolutely insane. Felt like a trippy dreamcast game brought to life 😂

I absolutely love Space Fantasy, its such a fun coaster with a cute story following the little alien. I also loved it with the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu VR layover which was strange but really fun. But I hated it during Halloween haunt this last year as it was pitch black and just kept spinning, I was so sick when I got off.

Sometimes Pink Typhoon operates with stand-up trains, sometimes it operates with the backwards trains, it depends on what time of day you visit the park.

The inverting spinning mouse at Joypolis is such a bizarre ride. It's a ton of fun, and I like the interactive aspect of it, but it really is such a quirky ride. -Gary

I watched a POV of Panic Coaster and lemme tell you, I'm pretty sure Gerstlauer were on drugs when they designed it, and then when sober, they realized their weird creation that they themselves are confused on why they made this xD

You should’ve gone to Rusutsu Resort. That park has the most unique Ultra Twister in Japan.

It's technically not a coaster because it doesn't use gravity, or any form of electricity. It's 100% people powered. Really cool attraction, but not a coaster, even though it uses coaster track.
