What do YOU think is the worst collaboration song in rock? Thanks to Crash for helping with this video. Check out a video from him and some more of my videos below: GREEN DAY - FATHER OF ALL... I don't know what the worst collaboration in rock sounds like but I do know what sacrilege sounds like, and not acknowledging Into the Spiderverse as our lord and savior certainly tops the list. Only pagans continue to worship the old gods of Raimi and McGuire over the true creator of the universe Spider-Ham! May Peter Porker have mercy on your heathen soul, Heretic! (In all seriousness, great vid as always and Crash's Josey Scott impression was priceless)
I HATE YOU! AND YOU HATE ME! you know what, you know what, it's all. In the family. It's a lot better if you look at it as Jon and Fred goofing around in the studio, but as an actual song, whyyyyyyyy?
Lou Reed's collab work Metallica was a bitter disappointment, sure... but this tag-team with them is Migraine inducing: (For your viewing displeasure here's Swizz Beatz featuring Ja Rule and Metallica - We Did It Again) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gnc05AYCP2g.html 12:43 Ouch... Poor Crash.
I was today years old when I found that The Insane Clown Posse and Jack White actually did a song together and the song was cover of a scat joke by Mozart. I don't know what to do with this information
@@toddthesweatynerdguy1450 I will just try to push this out of my mind. It's worked well when I heard the number one song on this list four years ago and was reminded of it yesterday.
@Conrad Nickelson they have some genuinely good songs but god damn they're so cringey with some of the shit they rap about. It's hard to recommend their albums to people cuz they'll have a few good songs but then a absolutely terrible song slaps you in the face and you're left wondering why they have a career
My wife is a HUGE Weezer fan. She owns all of their albums and those of the members' side projects, yet hates about 1/2 of their discography, and spends an equal amount of time poking fun at Rivers Cuomo and buying their unsightly merchandise. It's an equation I don't think I can ever solve.
Honestly, I get it. Then again, that's also how I feel about country music. So much is cringe, but there are also some absolutely iconic bangers and/or classics. Whatcha gonna do? 🤷♀️
Ok, I never knew that Jack White and ICP did a cover of Mozart I also never knew I'd be typing a sentence about Jack White and ICP covering Mozart, and it NOT being a fever dream
I couldn't resist searching this Cory Feldman and Fred Durst song... it's sort of like when you are a teenager and you are about to do something very stupid, and you know it's stupid, but you do it anyway because you have poor impulse control and immediately regret it... I regretted it.
I'm more baffled by the fact that Hero was chosen for the lead track for Spider-Man over Stone Temple Pilot's "All in the Suit That You Wear" which resulted in STP pulling it from the soundtrack and adding it to their greatest hits album
@@ilikeprowrestling I opened for Saliva a few years back with the band I was in. Coolest bunch of dudes, and super down to earth. They put on a helluva show. Got to hang with them afterwards, and got my shirt autographed, and the guitarist gave me one of his picks. One of the coolest experiences of my life.
Agree, it's easily the best song on this list and I unironically love it. I think "Bother" from the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack is leagues better but I'll defend "Hero"
A Ravens and Steelers fan agreeing in something? Wow. Must mean that something has gone wrong in the universe lol. Fact is, this is maybe the least offensive anything that Nickelback touched in the 2000s.
As Peter Griffin said, “That happened and we let it happened.” The song wasn’t bad, but the video was just bad and weird and goofy and that hurt the song.
I think that remake of "Crazy Bitch" also says something about Wifisfuneral. Unlike his fellow SoundCloud rappers, Wifisfuneral never blew up. He never had a "Gucci Gang" moment. He still remains a relative unknown to the mainstream. Did he think that collaborating with Buckcherry could get him to blow up?
I saw Simple Plan at the Punkspring festival in Japan years ago. They were one of the best sets since they made an effort to interact with the crowd and did a lot of audience participation. Sum41 on the other hand just spat on the stage and played as few songs as possible before walking off. I still prefer Sum41 by a very wide margin, but at least Simple Plan came to the show for the audience.
Funnily enough if I recall correctly, ICP didn't want to do it at first because even they thought it was stupid but after Jack White explained the absolutely ridiculous story of Mozart being into scat, they agreed.
Yes! Loud Rocks has a lot of great collabs. Xzibit/Sevendust - What U See Is What U Get, Static-X/Dead Prez - Hip Hop, Shootyz Groove/Big Pun - Caribbean Connection, Xzibit/Endo - Los Angeles Times and the Still Not A Player are my favourites!
I’m an old guy so here are three collaborations I can immediately think of that were garbage: 1) anything by John Lennon and Yoko Ono 2) any live concerts featuring Paul McCartney and Linda (Eastman) McCartney 3) the only album (thank god) from Greg Allman and Cher (yes they were dating at the time) under the name (oh god): “Allman & Woman” Just shows you that love can make you do stupid things.
@@tammichenard1024 yeah. Yoko Ono has a great voice, right? And we all love Linda McCartney bc Paul did, but she was NOT a singer. And if you want to defend "Allman and Woman", you go right ahead. Allman himself calls it a piece of shit.
Linda McCartney played a huge part creatively in RAM, which imo, is Paul’s solo masterpiece. Linda was also an incredibly prolific and talented photographer, her book of portraits of the sixties is breathtaking. Yoko Ono was an established artist before John, and a successful poet. She is hit or miss musically, but look up Season of Glass. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking. Her physical art installations were also humorous and engaging. Cher has had a number one hit in several decades, which is a pretty spectacular and uncommon feat. She’s a style icon and a hell of a showman. Paul, John and Greg were likely attracted to them in part for their artistic abilities. You’re entitled to your opinion but it seems you might just have a problem with women.
@@Sydoku i can't tell if you didn't read what he said, or if you were too busy furiously typing to realize that you're making points that literally no one spoke about. You're going off about things we ALL know. But hey, go off. Do you.
That saliva guy quote reading voice is hilarious and will never get old. '...Dope. Real dope...'. I never write lol unless I really am laughing out loud. Lol.
How many songs from the Sgt. Pepper film soundtrack do you think would be on the list of the worst? There's bound to be at least one, the album is hated (though I don't know why).
Usually I delight in learning cool new facts from your show. Learning that Corey Feldman and Fred Durst collaborated, and Durst wasn't even the most shameful part of it, was not one of those times.
2 shocks I've endured in this video. 1. JACK WHITE collaborated with... INSANE CLOWN POSSE!?!? I wish you didn't tell me this existed. I have too much respect for Jack to know about this. 2. Rivers Cuomo was in that AJR song? I never noticed, goes to show how insignificant his presence was, and I love him as a vocalist.
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned: Tyler Connelly, the lead singer of Theory of a Deadman, is seen in the Hero video playing guitar with a handle bar mustache. The same handle bar mustache from the music video for Nothing Could Come Between Us.
@@philatio1744 1985's Dancing in the Street a cover of the 1964 song by Martha and the Vandellas written by Marvin Gaye. Mick and David ruined that song. I'm surprised that Iman got with David after knowing what he did to that RNB classic.
I would say that the Superheavy Mick Jagger duet qualifies as the second weirdest thing Mick has ever done next to that, but Superheavy basically is Mick's secondary band.
I have to disagree. I love that song. It's not the best song I've ever heard but it's not bad at all. And hearing Kid Rock sing like that is kind of pleasant compared to Bawitaba
No, don't acknowledge it being a bad song because some hipster cheese dick says so. Its not a bad song, but it is way easier to get views by hating on it just because its the cool thing to do
"Rock Show" by Run DMC feat. Stephen Jenkins could have been a dishonorable, because seems a rock-influenced track than a rap-rock one. Also, it's a "I'm-cool-as-hell-and-I-Preach-that" song, the lyrics are a bit cringe.
It is a solid song. If Alter Bridge did it Luke would nut over it Luke has a hard on for hating anything relating to Nickelback and Saliva (and Fred Durst). So his judgement is slightly skewed. His head probably exploded when Devin Townsend said Chad Kroeger is a good musician
Ignoring the people responsible for the song, it still is bland. It is hard to appreciate the bare-bones solo, empty lyrics, and more. I can admit Nickelback made a few good songs, but I would not say Luke is prejudiced.
The hate for "Lulu" is quite similar in my mind to the hate Yoko Ono gets; complaints by people who aren't capable of examining something more deeply, while also parroting the same tired and trite memes.
Nickleback - Got Me Runnin' Round featuring Flo Rida Fall out Boy - Rat A Tat featuring Courtney Love Korn - All In The Family featuring Fred Durst Asking Alexandria - Empire featuring Bingx
Not sure if sappy ballads count for consideration, but I can think of a couple horrible collaborations by Paul McCartney who is a rock legend. The sad part is that both collaborations were with other legends: The Girl is Mine with Michael Jackson and Ebony and Ivory with Stevie Wonder.
According to a friend of mine he's the shit in concert. Still scratching my head on that one. The guy has great tastes so I was a bit caught off guard that he actually PAID to see that.
I was front & center in the pit at that Incubus concert you showed footage of. They might have changed their sound, but I will forever love Incubus. And if you want Kilmore back on the ones & two & a killer experience, almost on a spiritual level, go see them live. I have yet to miss a tour since 95'.
C’mon guys!! Lulu’s collaboration between Reed and Metallica isn’t really bad….there are really good parts along the entire album… Wait Doctor you said my diagnosis is a really severe tinnitus…. What!!! 98% hearing loss!!! Thanks Lulu.
Pretty stoked when I saw Crash Thompson had the album cover for "The Everglow" by Mae hanging on the wall. I happen to know a couple guys in that band and that album, even without the personal connection, is one of my favorites of all time.
Even tho Hero is a bad song, there was a little bit of good in terms of collaboration. Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden played drums on the recording of the song. But he wasn't in the video, and who would want to be
Whenever I hear Buckcherry, all I can think of is that video of a bride walking down the aisle singing this song as the DJ played it ... and watching her family leaving in droves out of disgust
The whole time I was wondering why All in the Family didn't make the list, until Seamless came and reminded me that there's much worse Fred did than try to "diss" my boy Jon Davis.
Watching Corey Feldman's "tribute" to Michael Jackson is really uncomfortable considering he came out and said in the last year that he was one of the many young boys m*****ed by him. :/
Thank god I never heard the Flaming Lips, Miley Cyrus and Moby travesty. Didn't know it existed. I feel a bit sick now knowing about it. And Rivers Cuomo, WTF?
Jack white and icp collaboration is like if a dude and his wife were trying to get pregnant so he takes her downtown and lets a methed-out bum knock her up. And they name the baby "Motzart."
6:02 Am I wrong to feel insulted by the fact that this was even a thing? That whole album sounds like an insult to the Beatles, and that is OUTRAGEOUS AND BLASPHEMOUS!!! 17:00 Is the girl on the left even actually playing the guitar??? I honestly cannot tell!!!
It's a Lou Reed album with Metallica as the backing band....exactly the same as Neil Young's 'Mirror Ball' album with Pearl jam backing....exactly the same!!!
@@Tris_Crazy_Music_Stuff ...the chorus stayed in English? WHAT'S THE POINT OF MAKING A FRENCH VERSION IF YOU CAN'T EVEN BOTHER TO TRANSLATE A SIGNIFICANT CHUNK OF YOUR SONG?!?
I remember being into buckcherry when that song originally came out. As much I liked it and the album I remember watching all the girls go crazy in bars over it and thinking they were all a bit cringy. The sing definitely didn’t age well but be interested to listen to the eeet of the album now and see what I think
