Blurred lines. You are aware all the cast was over 18. Leah used to date the man playing Will in real life. The point of glee was to make fun of adults playing teenagers and throwing them in adult situations. And when I was a teen we did much worse dances look up The Crybaby and then compare it.
@@daisybrianna77 besides it was really foundto be honest and I really really enjoyed the fact that Rachel had to make some moves and will trying to clear out her confusion.
I will admit that she could have had better character development, but she fainted cause of her eating disorder and I think she portrayed her character and that concept well 😅😃😭 That’s just my opinion idk
Gangnam style is a phenomena in the kpop industry. It made fun of the lavish and over-the-top lifestyle of many people (mostly celebs) that reside in Gangnam (the most expensive district in Seoul) that flaunt their wealth in a ridiculous manner. Besides that, Psy is actually a very accomplished kpop artist and has been successful before he blew up with that song. He is still relevant as he has his own record label that produces such artists as Dawn, Jessi, Hyuna. So I get why you might think it's hard to take it seriously, and maybe it's what he wanted - after all the song and the video is a very much satire, but I don't think making fun of the song is exactly right - especially without knowing the background.
Don't get me wrong, I'm always down for new Glee content, even negative content...but can we just have an OCCASIONAL positive video? Still waiting on "Best Mercedes Moments" for example! That being said...considering a lot of these covers were MEANT to be bad...fair.
I was literally thinking the same thing. The show was a hot mess and we all know it. When it was good, it was soooooo good and that helps us forget the hot mess. But instead of making another list about how it was a hot mess, please give us a list of Mercedes Best Performances (I will gladly help) or even Top Underrated Performances (again, I have an entire list of songs ready to go).
Literally! Like everyone is like- “Toxic, Run Joey Run, Blurred Lines are all terrible performances” yeah, the covers were great and you are right abt it being bad because why? It was meant to be! I-
ANYTIME Will rapped was an awkward moment in of itself, but his "Thong Song", "A Little Less Conversation" and full on Cringy rendition of "Toxic" with his students certainly take the cake! 🤦🏻♀️😬🤣
Can we talk about how it's so messed up that Tina, one of the og glee members and a minority, finally gets a chance to do a solo, and the show gave her gangnam style?
1:23 "Showed just how tiresome the Will and Sue rivalry had become, even though that definitely wasn't the original intention of including this song in the episode." Wait, WHAT? That was ABSOLUTELY the intention! Rachel and Kurt say so immediately after, how embarrassing it is, how they've gone crazy and they don't want that to ever happen to them. THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT.
I don't really agree with the Final Countdown, it was intended as the last showcase of the rivalry between Sue and Mr. Schue. It was kinda meant to take the piss of how ridiculous the characters are. It was intended to be cringey.
Let’s Have a Kiki was all that scene needed. Apparently someone else thought so to as when the album containing it was released all signs of Turkey Lurkey Time were removed. The look on SJP’s face when Turkey Lirkey Time starts is like “is this chick really going there?” 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Thank you! Though I think it'd kill this channel to say anything positive about the show now that it's just a big joke (: They stopped posting positive videos and post nothing but negatives now cause that's what's in
*My opinion through the video:* #10- I kinda liked that cover. Also, they did the "clip remake" just to show how deep they are on this. #9- I think that the cover was bad on purpose, just to make the point that Will doesn't need to be a Spanish teacher, or to prove that Santana had a point. #8- I agree, that was... Something... #7- Sue Minaj is my guilty pleasure, change my mind. #6- I have no idea why it's on the list, I like that mashup, even though it's not much of mashuped. #5- The song is fine, not on my favourites, but again, it was made just because they said that the same episode was bad, and yet aired. #4- if you're not thinking about the fact that Will is their teacher, and the fact that he supported them to do that song, they actually did it very good. Plus, the theme of "Sue banning twerk", they all did this JUST TO OPPOSE HER. #3- Tina deserve better, why does everyone hate this cover? And Marley passing out, this scares me every time. #2- no opinion, just liking the rythem. HM1- the song is a pun for the situation. HM2- no opinion, don't care. HM3- surprised it's not #1 on the list, but yet, why this cover is so hated? HM4- they just made it more... Danceable... HM5- like the cover, not the connection to the scene. #1- not surprised it's here. I liked it, so don't try to change my mind. Even though the performance was... With puppets. If you read all of this, then wow.
I agree with most if your opinions. Also Gangnam style, and what does the fox say were popular when they did them. I also love the puppet episode so...
Wasn’t that the point of “Afternoon Delight” though? Not the song itself but the scene it’s in. I haven’t seen the episode in a while but I seem to remember the Celibacy Club was told straight away that song was a bad choice for them to sing if they wanted to promote the club. I’m not sure everyone who put together this list was using the same qualifiers for “worst covers”. Some of these choices fit more on a list of wired/outplace song covers.
Yeah, I think intention plays an important role here. Afternoon Delight and A Little Less Conversation were supposed to be bad. Others were supposed to be lighthearted, but turned out being trash. Putting those two categories together feels weird.
I kinda think is so ridiculous that it kinda became a whole mess of greatness... Does it make any sense? Perhaps not... Do I love to watch the scene? Yes 😬
Seriously, four videos slamming Glee in one month? Yes the show is off the rails but there are so many positive things about it you could talk about. Top 10 Moments or Top 10 Songs from Kurt, Rachel, Blaine, Mercedes, ANYONE. That's a dozen videos right there Top 10 Mash Ups, Top 10 Christmas Songs, Top 10 Competition songs, etc. There are SO MANY good ideas for positive videos. I know people like to harp on the negative like nobody's business, but it's getting old and stale.
“The Fox” performance definitely deserved to be #1 on this list. “Blurred Lines” should’ve been #3 , along with “A Little Less Conversation” as #4. “Gangnam Style” should’ve been #10.
Ok there's 3 songs on this list (two of them as honorable mentions) that I fully disagree with. First of all, the Superbass and I Still Believe mashup is amazing and both Blaine and Sue rock their respective parts. It's in my opinion one of the greatest underrated mashups on Glee. Second of all, even though the reasons for Run Joey Run and the music video were kinda awkward and cringey the three boys participating in it do such a good job at pulling it off and their voices just mix wonderfully. And finally, the Friday cover literally saved that song for me so no, that cover is one of the best covers out there because it makes the song better and it doesn't deserve to be even an honorable mention on this list
In fairness to Afternoon delight, it was meant to be a little ironic as Emma was a virgin and had no idea that the song wasn't an innocent song about desert (or something along those lines). Plus, the other characters even point out that it was a weird song for them to sing.
Baby Got Back was the first song I thought of for this list. Jonathan even confronted them about it, to which he was basically told "We don't know who you are, why would we steal from a nobody?".
Yes, it's on the Best of list, but at the moment, MsMojo are dedicated to pointing out Glee's more awkward moments, but that's why we adore that show! 😂
Okay, but, during "Run, Joey, Run" why does Puck have more emotion on his face than Rachel. It looks more like Puck is begging Rachel to run, rather than Rachel begging Puck to run?
The "Let's have a Kiki" and "Turkey Lurkey" mashup was actually enjoyable for me because I had literally never heard of either song when the episode came out and I thought that was just one oddly made song, not realizing that it was two different, and weird, songs combined.
'Friday' and 'Lets have a kiki' was actually good, and I have absolutely no idea why they are on the list. I am going to get so much hate for this but, the vocal in blurred lines are pretty good, but yes, the scene and dance moves are definitely inappropriate for the show.
So basically the Glee producers didn't have a filter for what's inappropriate & were too concerned with shoe-horning popular songs into the show to realize that they made NO sense
half of these song aren’t “serious”. the originals are cringey to begin with (thong song, the fox gangnam style, christmas don’t be late, friday, red solo cup). they were all sung good, the songs are just not serious songs. this list should’ve had more actually good and serious songs that they thought were good but were just covered badly
10. The Final Countdown 9. A Little Less Conversation 8. Baby Got Back 7. I Still Believe / Super Bass 6. Let's Have a Kiki / Turkey Lurkey Time 5. The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late) 4. Blurred Lines 3. Gagnam Style 2. Thong Song -Honorable Mentions: The Rain in Spain Afternoon Delight Run Joey Run Friday Red Solo Cup 1.The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)
i really wanna know why they thought kiki and turkey lurkey time would make a good mashup lol, turkey lurkey time isn't even a thanksgiving song, it's a Christmas song! XD
RUN JOEY RUN? We need justice for that song. It’s honestly not even bad I love it. And the video to it makes it just perfect I mean come on. How is it on this list???
I'm sorry, but why is Run Joey Run is here? That's a classic and it's hilarious, I know Rachel's idea was weird and stupid, but don't mess up with the song.
