I love tiger grasses design, I love the stripes on the grass fitting really well with the tiger, and the reference to how big felines hide in plants to ambush. I think you should not rate tiger grass on the grass alone because the grass alone isn't the whole plant

As a regular player of my singing monsters I will agree Tomb Tangler would fit better as a monster, but like an epic monster as those have very distinct designs to their base monster

I think all the designs in this video are perfect (except for Grave Buster, but at least it looms like a plant contrary to in pvz1 and TombTangler but all modern pvz2 plants look weird)
My opinion: 10. Solar Tomato Not too much to say about it, but a glowing yellow tomato is really boring and bland. They could have put more effort into the design. 9. Boom Balloon Flower It doesn't even remotely resemble a balloon flower. It's literally just a salad with a balloon attached. 8. Pokra She doesn't look that bad, but her design doesn't fit with PVZ2 at all. She also looks like a nail polish bottle. 7. Blastberry Vine First vine plant. Looks pretty bad, way too long and just creepy. 6. Blockoli Same reason as this video. 5. Strawburst Literally an upside down strawberry with an ugly face. 4. Teleportato Mine It doesn't really fit into PVZ2, the face is horrifying btw. 3. Ice Bloom Who approved this design? It's literally a cyan ball with crystals. 2. Levitater Extremely watered down potato mine. It irritates me. 1. Tomb Tangler Don't really need to explain.
I actually enjoy Puffball's design. I'm not sure what it is about it, but to me, he looks menacing in a good way. I'm a little surprised you didn't include Pokra. The design itself isn't bad per se, but it simply looks really out of place. Probably because it looks a bit like a 2D cutout.
I always thought the eye rings around his his left eye was like a monocle.So I always thought he had a very pompous attitude only making me love the design even more.
I think primal peashooter is the best pea plant in plants vs zombies 2! He is the only one that is able to knock back zombies and deals more damage than other pea plants.
Personal rankings would be Laser bean, abnormally popped eyes which sure is related to his power but it just looks wrong. Tile turnip, that face along on how it is placed is just so ugly, lucky you see him more as a tile. Solar tomato, i just think its too puffed up otherwise its still good. Levitater, the only wierd part is when he floats, i mean what kind of potato is that? Other wise very cute when underground. Vamporcini, when inflated sure it represents a fed up vampire but still it look ugly and puffed along with the contented face as if she isn't in the frontline about to be eaten by zombies, her sucking face sucks, her inflated phase is also ugly, only the non inflated phase looks nice. All in all what i consider ugly are either very thin plants whose face is cramped up like chard guard, tile turnip, electricy tea, bombegranate, and bloomerang. or puffed up plants whose face is spaced out and bouncing around like on solar tomato, vamporcini, homing thistle, and puffball. another one would be their espressions like on tile turnip, bonk choy, and electricy tea.
Plants vs Zombies 2 is essentially these plants but in HD, I recommend watching a video about a Plants vs Zombies 1 mod that replaces everything with the PVZ2 models to a good comparison, I say for most its a good glow up
I don't know if anyone noticed but the animation and art style for the newer plants are different from the og, like meteor flower just moves up and down.
While i agree with most of these, i disagree with 3 of these. Of course this is my opinion Grave buster: because he's really cute in the second game. Primal peashooter's fuzzy hat costume: he looks like a lumberjack and is pretty cool. And spikeweed: because unlike pvz1, he looks more weed like, whereas the pvz1 counterpart looks more like spike-y wood then a plant
The grave buster is not that bad. Unlike the first game. It's just a doom shrooms looking thing that pushes the grave under ground like an anvil. The 2nd game is pretty cool. It's actually dragging it unlike an anvil
If I had to list some notable ones that I dislike, I would prolly go for Tomb Tangler, Chilly Pepper ( the upcoming one, didn't need a redesign at all ), Teleportato, Levitater ( but just his eyes to be fair ). Ever since, I think, like Headbutter Lettuce, the artsyle shifted for a very bad one, it's really noticible in shading and stuff, which makes many new plants look not only out of place, but just plain ugly.
All the recent plants became horrible starting with the Tiger grass update and i can really relate why you hate chilli pepper it's not like the old pvz 2 all of the updates are horrible and I'm guessing they'd shut this game down
If you see these plants are bad, you should see those new prenium plant (blockoli, tomb tangler and puffshroom on the other hand, those thing are truly disaster like the rest of new ones)
VAmporcini is the ugliest plant by far. Not my opinion. Facts. When it’s mouth is closed it just looks like shit and it’s animation was on a budget of 2 cents

I hate the PVZ1 Grave Buster, I think the PVZ2 design is an improvement. Vines tangling over tombs is better than a two-dimensional plank gnawing it imo. Pvz1 Grave Buster just feels so bland, especially compared to Pvz2's Grave Buster animation.
1(primal peashooter) - looks good, the other primal plants were more creative but im fine with it. 2(lightning reed) - looks great, the ''skinny'' part is because he's a reed and he deals weak damage. 3(electrici-tea) - I dont have a problem with his look, but they definitely could have done more with it. 4(citron) - again, I dont have a problem with his look, what did you want him to look like? 5(blockoli) - I agree, even his animations are terrible. 6(hot date) - I never had a problem with his look, but he will look even worse when punched in the face. 7(sling pea) - I agree, looks very bad. 8(grave buster) - what's wrong with his design? he's supposed to be a vine instead of a tree like in the first game. 9(tomb tangler) - I hate it, and no one at all asked for upgraded gravebuster. 10(tiger grass) - this plant's design sucks, its just some blades of grass, and I expected the grass tiger to look better. 11(murkadamia nut) - I agree, when its unpowered. 12(spikeweed) - I also agree, he looks absolutely terrible and the GW games made him better. 13(puffball) - he looks like a blobfish.
I'm actually surprised you didn't include Boingsetta. That abomination looks so out of place in PVZ2 and looks like a horribly perspective fanart plant.
Screw Puffball, Tomb Tangler should’ve been number one honestly. Worst plant in the game in every aspect you can think of. The only other plants I think look terrible are Electricitea and Blockolli, though you make a good case for grave buster even though it’s never bothered me. I’m cool with pretty much every other plant’s design and I still standby that PvZ2 is the best looking game in the series in terms of art style.
I disagree with reed, primal pea, grave buster and sort of spikeweed. Reed looks visually good in my opinion and just by looking at it you know what it does. Primal pea I consider an "okay" although it's definitely not the worst designed plants Grave Buster looks much more like an actual plant and its design makes sense with what it does. Spikeweed seems more like a weed. I don't like his design in pvz1. It looks depressed and grumpy at the same time and not like a weed.

idk all the pvz2 plants but ill agree to disagree on a lot of these plants here. i think most of them are good, save for spikeweed, grave buster, and tiger grass, but i hate tiger grass bc of the tiger and not bc of the grass lmao. i hate chili bean with a passion
I am tired of this slander once and for all. Grave Buster in PVZ2 is better looking. What even is it in PVZ1? It looks like rocks, stones. It doesn’t look anything like any plant I’ve seen. It’s just a black rectangle with a couple leaves at the top to remind you that it’s a plant. PVZ2 Grave Buster, while still not being the best design, looks like a plant, and doesn’t need crappy leaves to remind you. Yeah, PV2 Grave Buster is goofy, and weird, but it looks like a PLANT. something the original failed spectacularly at doing. This isn’t rocks vs zombies, or stones vs zombies. It’s Plants vs Zombies, and PVZ1 Grave Buster fails at looking like a plant, or anything at all.
