The list seems to just give credit for goals scored.. and not how they may have positively affected the matches they played. You rarely get credit for stopping the rival team from scoring. When you're basically only using goals scored as the basis for the best and worst players list.. then defenders are obviously going to be at the bottom.

Jack Beacham he was less than a df, more like a box to box midfield. He do both defence and attack. His goalscoring rate is damn great nevertheless for a midfielder with such an exhausting role.

Lucas Sam I had high hopes for Miyaichi too. It wasn't the purchase that made it obvious it was for shirt sales, it was the way he was phased out of the team. They didn't care about developing him, let him train alone, but made sure he appeared at a pre-season game in Asia. If I was going to buy a player for shirt sales, I too would buy one that actually had a chance of making it.
