You have to be pretty smart just to get on a game show like Jeopardy, but that doesn’t mean contestants can’t give some pretty ridiculous answers. When you’re on the spot, sometimes you scramble for something to say and end up regretting whatever comes out of your mouth. These are the responses that boldly flew in the face of common sense and knowledge, or were just plain hilariously wrong. WatchMojo ranks the worst Jeopardy Answers. @@ronzy566 My thought process on that is, the parents want a certain object (car, gem, or something similar), but know they can't ever possess said object, so they choose to name their child that, like Mercedes or something like that, I believe they think that is the only way they will own/have that thing or object. Funny, I had this same discussion with my mom recently.

Yeah, I don't get how that was supposedly embarrassing answer. We still use the term x-rated today, it just isn't the official rating used by the movies. But most of us grew up with movies being called rated x.

At least the guy answering Magic Johnson to a NHL question can be explained by him not really paying attention to the question and answering too quickly. Whereas you guys had all the time to prepare for this video, access to the internet, plenty of people to review it before you uploaded, and yet somehow still said Jordan would be a better answer than Magic for an NBA assist leader.

Forgetting to phrase the answer in the Jeopardy round won't lead to losing money, but Alex will remind the contestants to be more careful about it. In Double Jeopardy or on Daily Doubles (regardless of what round it is), the phrasing rules are more strict and you DO get penalized if you don't phrase it as a question, but you are allowed to correct yourself before the timer runs out.

Having a super computer compete in a game show like this one doesn’t give the other two contestants a chance to win if the computer is getting all the correct responses. It’s basically cheating.
