Yeah, I have the same feeling that WatchMojo did jump in the "Let's find as many faults as possible with the Sonic franchise!" bandwagon. Granted, Sonic IS a franchise that has faults, but Minecraft, FNAF, Call of Duty and Fortnite are a few examples of gaming franchises that will always be more over-popular than Sonic the Hedgehog, even to this day. Other than that, in our frank opinion (I used "our" but didn't include you in this category because obviously, Sonic Dash is one of your favorite Sonic games up to the ranks of the original Sonic trilogy for the Sega Genesis, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Sonic Triple Trouble), Sonic Unleashed is closer to the greatest Sonic games of all time up to the ranks of all the other ones I mentioned in this comment.

@Ten- Kel Yeah, the modern era of gaming is in serious need of improvement. The late 20th Century had LJN, but as awful as its video games are, modern video games could have *even more* bad video games churned out than the pre-sixth generation era of gaming, which had Angry Video Game Nerd review those shitty games that suck ass.

Sonic unleashed should NOT even be in this video. Sonic and the black knight also shouldn't. And sonic dash is a well made runner it shouldn't be here either. Now this is just me but I like Shadow the Hedgehog (the game) but I understand why it's on the list

The werehog levels ruined it for me. The day levels were great, but they were short compared to the awful night levels. Also, chip was annoying as heck.

Ten- Kel I wouldn’t hate them so much if they were shorter, but some were hog stages literally took me about 10 minutes to beat. I wish it were more even between night and day stages, but it seemed there were more night stages than day stages, or it just seemed that way because of how long night stages were compared to day stages.

Am I the only one who REALLY liked Sonic The Hedgehog (2006)? I think it’s a great game. Yeah, some of the controls are a little inconvenient at times but the plot was kinda cool. Plus, we got to see some of Sonic’s sentimental side and it was really cute watching all that pan out (especially the scene with him and Princess Elise, when the butterfly lands on his nose). I’m actually playing it right now and I’m on the final scene where you have to send Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Silver, Shadow and the robot to find the 7 chaos emeralds. All in all, a quality game. Also, Sonic Unleashed was a great game but the concept was a little tacky on Sega’s part. Don’t even get me started on Sonic and the Black Knight - that was an awesome game and I could talk about it all day.

+Paul Allen To a degree I think StTH is overhated, it deserves hate, but it should not have been on the list. Unleashed however is a fantastic game, yea the werehog was unnecessary, but since it's here i'd like to compliment that they are fun to play and there not "BAD", yea a lot of them can over stay there welcome with some taking as much as 20 mins, but it was still an awesome title, the only real negative I can give this game is the whole collecting sun and moon medals, they were bad.

Exactly. This could have been the closure for the Adventure series or a prequel to Adventure 3. I love Shadow's character development and how he evolved from someone confused on who he was to someone that has it figured and cares for his friends (Rouge and Omega) and also for his rival. The music was great, the bosses were mindblowing, and the story was anime level. I just wished Solaris was executed better in gameplay and that they would have not done the kiss part.

@Larry Hughes Yeah... Not only were the controls so bad, but the camera angle was absolutely awful. Plus, the swearing was a bit excessive (even though it is mild, thankfully, because the game is rated E10+), preventing my eldest sister from enjoying the game. My family has strict rules about swearing, and we respect it. My mother, who unfortunately passed away from COVID-19 (and no, I am not making this up), despised swearing. Plus, the guns were out of place as well. :|

I respect opinions, but I honestly don't get how Sonic Unleased was hated. Soundtracks were awesome, the cutscenes were longer and better (imo) than freakin Generations, and the story made sense! The people did look a bit off, though, but literally Sonic Unleased was an amazing game. I will be grateful that Sonic Adventure Battle 2 for Gamecube wasn't on it.

I think the worst Sonic game is "Sonic 3D Blast". I hate it because you have to collect a shield to do a homing attack. And if you lose your shield, you lose your homing attack. That's pure maximum bullcrap. Why didn't they give us a homing attack from the beginning. That would've made the game a lot easier.

Sonic Unleashed gets more crap than it deserves, the day stages are really good, and the night stages were great. They had puzzles that were ok and fun combat, pulse a neat leveling system. Also among the best stories of a Sonic game and the only time Sonic's character actually grows.

Sonic Unleashed Is probably one of the best sonic games. Sure the Wherhog stages take 20 minutes but the normal Sonic stages are awesome. And the graphics are still good up to this day.

This was after 2006, even if it wasn't bad (it wasn't. it was pretty good), the hatred and rage were on a high scale to pretty much ignore any good point. Also, Unleashed day stages were a lot more longer and hard than later games (specifically, Colors, Generations and Forces) Good thing that I find people who find Unleashed not bad minimun.

I honestly could not play the black knight. When I tried to, my game would keep pausing, even if I didn't press pause. Yes, even when I swung the Wii mote. Before anyone says it's my nunchuck, it's not. I played sonic unleashed for the wii with the wiimote and nunchuck, and it worked just fine there. The game doesn't like me at all

I disagree with dishonorible mentions. Sonic Unleashed, the Black Knight and Dash are really good (Unleashed is Amazing). Also WHY Sonic Schoolhouse ISN'T ON THIS LIST?!? Also Sonic Fighters is a pretty good game. Shadow the Hedgehog is in my opinion better then Sonic 1 port. In my opinion Sonic Labirynt was way worst then 06, Shadow or Shuffle.

Husarius pl, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric is better than Sonic 06, Shadow the Hedgehog (2005 game), & Sonic 1 Genesis (GBA). Sonic Shuffle and Sonic the fighters are better than Sonic Free Riders. Sonic 3D Blast DX director's cut is better than Sonic 3D Blast (original).Sonic Dash is not a bad game I found it to be playable. Sonic Unleashed is not a bad game even the Wii version I watched some RU-vid videos about this game and sometimes there reviews were positive. Sonic Rivals 1 & 2 are not bad games remember. Sonic Blast is better than Sonic 1 Genesis GBA & Sonic Labyrinth because there is a review who didn't called this game bad. C'mon Watchmojo Redux this. P.S: I didn't own these games except Sonic 1 (iOs), Sonic 2 (Android), Sonic CD (Android), Sonic Dash, & Sonic 4 Episode 2.

I actually think Shadow is not THAT bad (it's bad, yeah, but Sonic has worse). Sonic Heroes and Knuckles Chaotix are good examples of games with decent core mechanics but horrendously poor level design. Heroes' bland, copypasta levels that go on forever stand as the least fun I've ever had with a Sonic game.
