It should also be noted that Deirdre throwing the dessert was sadly Annie Kirkbride’s final scene. She was temporarily written out and sadly passed away before returning. Her character’s death was written into the show later, with the approval of Annie’s family. 😢
J M Yeah, I can imagine so, I felt so bad for Sally when she was in prison for fraud she wasn’t responsible for, in this day and age with things like online banking it’s become so much easier to frame someone for an act of fraud or even to hack into your bank account
@@tiffanyreeson2975 Over a period of about 20 years (I think the Sarah Platt storyline was late 90s), 3 teen pregnancies isn't really that much. There is only so many things that can go on in peoples lives, there are bound to be similar ones every once in a while
James Edes that scene if him in the tram crash episode. I love how they shot it with him still in focus on camera but the background just dragged out behind him. I don’t think it’s ever been done in Corrie again since or any other soap. XoX

Love the fact you’ve done a Corrie Top Ten (more, please!), but it seems very weird to be grouping classic moments like the tram crash, Hillman’s canal plunge and Charlie’s murder with smaller scenes like trifle throw and the haunted pool hall (though admittedly, we and our podcast listeners definitely found that very WTF! 😆)
The tram crash was hilarious. It flew off the bridge and into a building, the whole time the driver was sat motionless like he's in an office chair, giving an unconvincing reaction shot.
Someone made the tram crash funnier by putting thomas the tank engine as the tram while playing the theme song to thomas the tank engine as he gleefully flies off the tracks to his demise
What about Mel Hutchright? He was played by Sir Ian McKellen, and was supposedly a novelist of "kitchen sink" drama who stayed in the Street whilst working on his new "novel", and addressing the Weatherfield Book Club. Ken Barlow instantly had his number, who revealed him to be a scam artist, who had already conned some of the Street's residents out of money.

Well that is the point. If u make a top ten of a show which isn't liked too much it won't get many views or likes or comments. The fact that show and eastenders seem to have so much doom and gloom is a turn off for a lot of people and don't make good tv. They r both bad with a sprinkle of good sometimes
Should have included Vera Duckworth seeing Ivy Tilsley's ghost on the landing complete with wind blowing her hair...then later a young Sarah Platt waving at a bedroom window and when Gail asks who she is waving to she says "nanan Ivy"
