Which show has weirder storylines, Corrie or East Enders?

Only one entry for Hollyoaks? What about the storyline where a pair of twins (boy & girl) are split up as babies, randomly meet again when they're 13/14 at a party, sleep together, the girl gets pregnant, her father forces her gives up the baby. Then, about 15 years later, the twins find each other again, the girl falls "in love" and wishes to have a proper relationship with her brother. Later, the daughter finds her mother and permantly moves in with her (despite her not being her legal parent). This is where my memory of the storyline gets fuzzy, but a lot more crazy things happened after that

Number 11. A hurricane in Hollyoaks in 2018. You read that right - hurricane. In England. Whoever came up with that must have been hungover, forgotten to do last nights homework and plucked the most ridiculous thing out of the recesses of their mind they could muster

Really? No Ronnie stealing Kat’s baby? No Linda being raped by her husband’s nephew but OH it turns out he’s actually her husband’s brother, and her husband’s sister, is his MOTHER.

I reckon there should be a top 10 on the most dragged out storylines in Soaps.

Man the helicopter crash from Emmerdale should be on there 😂😂 a gas canister blew up into the sky, hit a helicopter. The helicopter then proceeded to crash onto the church where Debbie and Peter were getting married. But at said wedding Debbie was being exposed for her affair with Ross, Petes brother. That was a bloody rollercoaster tide that one

With the Max being buried alive one, Tanya was playing with Max's worst nightmare for revenge. He had a massive fear of being buried alive due to his Father when drunk locking him in small places for hours on end, it wasn't just a random plan she thought up out of thin air lmao

To be fair to the eastenders storyline, Max had a huge phobia of being buried alive because of a practical joke his dad and his friends used to play on him when he was a kid locking him in caskets and threatening to Bury him so as nasty and as evil as it sounds tanya actually picked good revenge against max cause she used his biggest fear against him

Coronation Street tram crash is hilarious 🤣

The Willmott-Brown storyline in Eastenders at the end of 2017 was the weirdest storyline for me. They planned to destroy Albert Square completely but the storyline dropped mid way through and never went anywhere at all. Completely pointless.

"It was all a dream" has been a popular trope for years, but nobody ever realizes that "nothing you just saw happened or matters" is usually a sour note to end on.

Regardless of how many people they'd killed I couldn't be one bit scared of a serial killer once I'd found out they're called Lachlan.

Brookside’s virus storyline didn’t really age well

You forgot the most ridiculous ones: in corrie, Michelle's son was swapped at birth now shes living as one big happy family with both of them. In eastenders, a similar thing happened. Also in eastenders., I find the mick/shirley thing a bit odd.

Phil Redmond initially wanted _Emmerdale_ to do the deadly virus storyline however the executive refused so Redmond went back to _Brookside_ and did it there.

I feel like Bredas storyline from hollyoaks should be on here if it were to be updated. She was a psychopath who killed 6 people on her time on the show, killed her daughters father, her stepsons father and her own father in flashbacks bringing her known body count to 9. On top of that she held tony in a cell for months and attempted to kill 7 more people, some of them 2 or 3 times. She made Lachlan from emmerdale look like snow white

What about Emma kidnapping James and then pushing him to his death

There needs to be a top 10 storylines just for Hollyoaks, like serial killers Silas, Lindsey, Cameron, Breda, fire at the Dog, the flat explosion, Niall killing Kieron, his sister Tina and taking the rest of the family hostage in a church, the Nico stuff, the Sienna stuff, Will killing his mum and his wife to name but a few LOL

I still say ena sharples buying a milk stout was the most harrowing storyline

5:38 Did that guy just run towards the van that ran him over a second later? Generally when a vehicle is coming towards you, you run out of the way rather than towards death, unless he was aiming to save the girl?

What about the holly oaks glove handed killer that was stupid and killed off major characters with big storylines at the time and it was so unrealistic 🙄🙄🙄

I actually enjoyed the hollyoaks 2014 crash. I felt a heap of emotions watching them, and I cried for Doug and stie. I hated Maddie for bullying Esther, and was so glad when she was killed. It makes sense when you watch the whole episode, like how Sinead was getting married, and they were just being stupid teens who didn't see the girl until she was quite close. They went to avoid the girl, only crashing into the weddings. Maddie gets got by a part of a car that flew when it exploded and it smacks her on the head. That's more understanding then most deaths.

i know it's been said before.. but the hollyoaks bus crash is the weirdest storyline? not the one where two twin siblings are separated at birth but then sleep together in their teens, get separated again and then completely forget about each other, then the dad locks the daughter in a basement and tells her that her daughter had died and then she turns into a crazy baby stealing psycho and steals a woman's life (breastfeeding a child that isn't even hers) and then gets locked up and later reunited with her twin, who she becomes obsessed with and handcuffs him to a radiator to have the perfect christmas, and then the incest daughter becomes a serial killer and shoves her murdering uncle off of a roof, kills her mum's husband's daughter, stabs her mum' ex on his wedding day, suffocates her abusive grandfather, kidnaps her best friend and tries to poison her ex, tries to murder her mum about a million times only to "burn" to death in a fire and then return two years later as a stalker, stabs her mum, the mum "dies", attends her own funeral and then comes back to life to confront her daughter on a roof, he ex returns and kidnaps her son, and then she runs into her own wake, and then later on she kills her own daughter and goes to prison. but no. the bus crash was weird.

I can imagine why I was put off EastEnders, particularly the ridiculous recent storylines, which was why Emmerdale is currently my firm favourite.

I think Pat Phelan's (Corrie) story line should've been here. It were ridiculous how many times he escaped justice.

When the video first started, I was yelling at my computer, "No way is the Plane Crash on this list. It's because of this storyline that Emmerdale is still running." Thank goodness it wasn't in the end. I hadn't heard of #1 until now. That must have annoyed a lot of people.

I've been watching the Classic Eastenders on Drama, Sharon never identified Den, they fished out a body a year after his "death" so the police told her that his body would be in a state and considering forensics was in it's infancy they assumed it was Den

Days Of Our Lives (US 1965 To Present) did a Buried Alive Storyline when Vivian Alamain buried Dr. Carly Manning. They did a Cloning Storyline where Reva was a Teen played by Bethany Joy Lenz who came back as Michelle Bauer #4 on Guiding Light. Bethany later would play Haley James Scott on One Tree Hill. There was a Dreaming Death on Guiding Light that also didn't make any sense.

Dallas had the dream to wipe out an entire season, not the whole show. A show called St. Elsewhere did a dream ending of the entire show, but no one liked it. It was trying to make fun of Dallas. Then we had a TOO SPLENDID finale for a 90s show called Newhart when it was revealed the entire show was a dream of actor Bob Newhart in his 70s sitcom and he woke up next to his wife from the 70s show played by Susan Pleshette. That was around the same time as Brittas Empire.
