Royyyyy - your #95 reminded me that I’ve been desiring a Top Ten Narrative Adventure Games list from you and Camilla… and maybe Eric Summerer? Or whoever else is into them. Near & Far, Sleeping Gods, Unsettled, Earthborne Rangers, ISS Vanguard, Roll Player Adventures- whatever!!! Why? Because the TIME COMMITMENT and often EXPENSE of these games is massive. I have a dozen old Avalon Hill games. I'm 57, been playing them since 1980. Includes Squad Leader, Blitzkrieg, Tactics 2, Hitlers War, Bismark, Jutland, Victory in The Pacific. Haven't played them in decades... Great video.

It was so fantastic seeing Jason choosing an Avalon Hill game. I’m old too and I played many AH games in the 80’s with my dearly departed dad, including the one featured here. We played many a chariot race back then! So interested to see what else Jason comes up with. And Wendy and Roy of course!!

Some interesting and unexpected choices in there, great variety. I own/played 5 in Wendy’s list, 5 in Jason’s and 4 in Roy’s, mostly weighted to the later part of the list.

Great list, awesome to see Jason again I love his energy. I cross over with Roy with "Dixit" which is currently my daughters favorite game and I really enjoy how simple it is. On a different note, I really need to play Horrified... they have finally made a spanish edition hope it reaches Uruguay soon 🙏

@Wendy Yi is amazing! She taught my group Feast for Odin at DTE last summer even though she had been working most of the day. It's interesting though. Of all the DT staff, she and I have the most different gaming tastes. I haven't played any of her 100-91. Heck, I haven't even heard of 5 of them. Looking forward to the next ten from this trio!

Wendy, the "Ratchet" mechanism is different to a Rondel. It's called a ratchet mechanism because you can move as far along the track as you want, but you can't move back, a la Tokaido. Rondel is where you move in a circle, but you can't move forward as far as you like.

You can't physically touch any component of the game when you play a video game (controllers don't count), so that is a pretty clear demarcation that children could intuitively understand. I don't really feel like looking up actual definitions right now, but The Dice Tower does review some CCGs, so why wouldn't they be eligible for someone's list?
