@@chlorastroklos The bomb chucker isnt the issue, actually all levity aside I think alot of your takes are sensible, but I have to strongly disagree with your placement of what you consider low tier energy weapons. I dont think youve considered the fact that some of the most popular meta builds use body parts with middling or very low energy defence. Furthermore, basically all the energy weapons had their max shots and cooling speed buffed in the new patch. Altogether, the energy weapons can now output very impressive damage for an extremely long period of time as long as your heat management is good.
I really wish they had taken the oppertunity to improve the lance's tracking and ability to keep a hit enemy on the lance. I think if you clip someone with it they should be stuck on it.
you are wiffing butt blade because you need to wait a bit before doing the secong swing on stagger, I'd say it's as good as kicks and the non meme melee stagger punish
I should have been more specific I guess. I am talking about using the charged swing from neutral to hitstun your opponent and start a combo. I know how to use the punish lol.
Now you don't have to run VVC plasma rifle primarily for its charge shot; its uncharged deals some good damage. Sleeper pick alongside the small laser rifle, IMO.
Heavily disagree on stun gun and zimms being S this patch. Id say A for Zimms and B for stun guns. If youre a LW build, kite or cqc, you can dodge both of these weapons and attack during their reloads. This patch buffed LW legs boost distance and nerfed Ocellus fcs. This allows LW players to dodge these. Also, i main Kiri Kite. Two factors to address here: firstly, kiri kites only bad matchup was zimm shield. Now that ocellus is nerfed, it doesnt have a bad matchup anymore. Secondly, RF rifles should be high A tier. Rifle kites who bob up and down off NGI or Gridwalker are playing kites wrong. A good kite player knows how to play cqc and that pushes some of these rifles damages through the roof.
This is such a deeply subjective take on what weapons are good, and most of it is going to get people who are new to this game, or honestly B rank and below absolutely slaughtered in ranked. "Rifle kite isnt a build" is legit one or the worst takes I've heard, content like this is why AC subreddits are filled with cope that bring their toxicity into other players dms. Been watching these tier lists each patch and each time it gets more and more unhinged.
Flame thrower is sleept on. Ive been running it on kites, generalists and brawlers ACs. It pairs well with linear rifles, pistols, stun guns, basically anything. It hard counters Assault boost spam too. Id put it A tier.
@@shareefpeoples5317 stagger extension from shotguns? I feel that. It can be brutal. You got to assault boost joust against zimm players as a kite. If you try to play aerial, you'll get hit. If you're playing LW kite builds, you got to learn to play on the ground like a medium range cqc build.
The patch definitely feels miles better than before, but it doesn't feel like it hit the major issues and I feel like it stems from the fact that the team who is balancing the game is either infinitely small or non existent. Ricochet still is way too punishing and kinda makes a lot of builds be forced into CQC so the game feels like it doesnt incentivize anything but. There are other things that you are definitely more knowledgeable than me on this.
No you're pretty much right. A lot of players complain about this. There are popular rifle-kite builds but there's no real midrange. Either you're at 300m or 50m.
@@chlorastroklos feels like fs was way too scared of long range kiting and ended up overcorrecting, even though stuff like turner and scudder would still be at best mid tier if ricochet didn't completely nulify damage and impact. And there are other problems such as hard lock being absurdly punishing and nullifying cqc movement options and making the game feel kinda unsatisfying to win. Plus maps having poor cover options and having way too high skyboxes and such
@@RosuVT The kinda fixed the hardlock stuff with the ocellus nerfs. Kicks are still OP but you can take PS and it's a lot less stupid now. Still kinda stupid, but less.
We have bazookas that would sit nicely in mid range to compete with zimms. But until they remove slow aiming stance from bazooka there is no way you can use it without being punished with any other weapon available in the game. Zimms do the same job better by allowing you to move while shooting. I think zimms should be treated same way as bazookas are so either add aim anim to both or remove from both.
