@@user-ookamibanzai there is a lot of montaign in France. That's why a TGV is more adapted than a the magnetic rails (and also because there is a lot of rails). But magnetic rails is really good too
As normal Chinese citizens, we don’t really care where we are on this list, but we do care that nowadays the trains are much faster and more reliable. The high speed railway definitely made our lives easier.
Red are the lines with maximum speed for the country and white are all other high speed lines - e.g. Strasbourg - Mulhouse with 220 kph. It's the same with Spain, where the Madrid-Barcelona Line with 310 kph is red and lines with 300 kph, 250 kph and 200 kph are white.
SAME! In the other day I saw a video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-inToRXWWvS4.html with much better quality and much more accurate...
If Pak d(r)ivers can touch 550 kmp/h, can Indians be left far behind ? Ours touched 575 kms/h, when they heard that India had tested a nuclear bomb ! ===== Matts'
The Shanghai MAGlev is the TransRapid and was invented by German DB. Just to let y'all know. It started in Emsland, North-Germany and was tested there from 80s to 2011. Then a big crash occured and they didn't have the right financial plans for the project anymore.
Big Error about the French TGV date, I was taking the TGV already in *1984* every week Marseille-Paris and vice versa!! But TGV was already in place well before 1983, the line was Paris-Lyon and vice versa
At the time it was doing 186mph. The later date mentioned on this video is when the 199mph service came out. Still, an amazing achievement by the French to have 186mph trains back in the early 80s. 👍
japan is by far NO 1 in the world for : safety speed low noise volume of passengers and number of trains clean trains all combined not any other country come even close kudos to japan
@@加拿大の下饭菜 no thank you , i dont go anywhere near the CPP , ever in my life. communism must be avoided. have a nice life in your china. i choose japan for which i have respect
@Chinese is A life experience worst china. Because of that corona virus the world is suffering and this is only because of their worst food habits of eating every moving object (all animals and birds) China is uncomparable with japan. Japan is always great than China forever. I will never love China😠😠😠😠😠
I personally find this so funny because German Train are pretty crap for today's modern standards - but the technology is often still leading This obviously is because of the rail network mostly aswell as the fact that the train that does honestly suck is the regiobahn so the regional train and the ICE (as far as I know) is quite good
@@Desi365 Well... kinda. Those trains are built by a consortium of Bombardier Transportation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Alstom and Siemens. Alstom also builds most TGV Models, Siemens most ICE sets, Kawasaki many Shinkansen Parts. Bombardier Transportation is owned by Alstom. Also the Chinese patents regarding these trains are only valid in China, as they conflict with older worldwide patents of the afore mentioned high speed trains; one reason why China can not sell the Fuxing Hao Trains internationally. See e.g. wikipedia on the Fuxing Hao Trains.
@@Slazlo-Brovnik They sold it to Indonesia, the Jakarta Bandung HST line is about to open. I don't know that they're legally forbidden to sell in Europe/US/Japan because of patent issues.
The world's fastest regular track train record is France with speed over 574km/h, while on second is China with speed over 493km/h. And that is for record breaking purpose, not operational speed. Mostly operational bullet train speed operated arround the world have speed over 300km/h, 305km/h, and 320km/h. While in China late last year just launched the new Fuxing train that run at 350km/h service between Beijing and Shanghai over 1300+km distance, it's the fastest in the world in operational outside Maglev. Then you go Maglev. Currently there is only one country on earth with Maglev in operation and that is China run in Shanghai Pudong airport to Shanghai city with speed over 431km/h. Some of you probably mistaken for Japan Maglev that run at the speed of 603km/h which is not operational, only prototype.
in fact the commercial use is more profitable at 320 km / h 5 years ago France wanted also spent at 350km / h but the cost was too high for the time saved
As a French i'd say the two best are TGV and Shinkansen, built in the same period, and it's only nowadays that superpowers are able to equal their efficiency, these two trains were just decades ahead of their time.
Agree as well. But I recently travelled on the KTX between Seoul and Busan and to me that was the best ever train experience. Punctual, fast, comfortable and not insanely expensive. I live in the UK and trains here are the exact opposite: slow, dirty, expensive and systematically late if not cancelled.
@@tonyhawk94 I know. That's why I wasn't surprised the actual ride was good. But add the korean fondness for timing and cleanliness, that made it better than the TGV for me.
french, spanish and italian trains are all made by Alstom. the only difference is how they are furnished inside. i heard the italian are much more cosy. coming from a french guy...
Italy some further info: 1. First regular train IN THTE WORLD to reach 200 km/h in the thirties with an electric loco, when in the USA 100% of train where still moved by steam engines. 2. First leaning train to exceed 200 km/h even on regular railroads. 3. A regular Frecciarossa reached 398 km/h between Turin and Milan
L’unico peccato è come l’Italia, e in generale gli altri paesi europei, dopo la guerra abbiano abbandonato i treni elettrici veloci. Ripresi soltanto con la creazione delle moderne linee ad alta velocità
Yep! Just a side note... China already had trains running at 350km/h back in 2010. The 2011 tragedy, however, put the brakes on this train and all trains were required to reduce speed to max 300km/h. It's nice to see trains running at 350km/h again!
@王瘦帅 yeah, but look at all Japanese comments here, they commented like China experiences train accident every month. They really have a successful wash brain to their people.
Hundred million filipino amazed and so proud of seeing its 1940's train system that usually stops for how many months and its 0.00005 speed per century
Where is USA🇺🇸?🤔.. Donald Duck , sorry Donald Trump says always "America first 🇺🇸💪"..🤔😒😁 But , I would love to do Canada by old train from Montreal to Vancouver,, or in Russia , fr.Moscau to Vladivostok..1 week.with old Romantic train.🚂❤️
America first means “America first policy” creating jobs from inside than outsourcing it. Making americans to be less dependent on foreign workers. It’s like waking up the Americans from their laziness. On your perspective it means “America number 1” which is wrong
Sebastiaan Boellaard you’re stupid Thalys Is from Belguim ICE 3 Is from Germany and Netherlands (They have an NS ICE 3 Version) And Eurostar Of course Are In the Countries near Uk! The ICE 3 train used In Spain,China and Netherlands
It is amazing that so many nations have surpassed the UK, when it comes to speed. As you all know it was the UK that invented the Steam Locomotive, and it was the UK that invented railways. For many years the UK rail network has been using older trains, even though the UK did have the Inter City 125 (Class 43) which was the fastest Diesel train at 125 MPH. That was in the late 1970's. However the UK is building the HS2 which will see trains travelling at 400 kmh in 2026.
Just so annoying that the ECML isn’t more. It’s designed for speeds up to 140mph, even has the infrastructure. The intercity 225(class 91) was named and tested for that reason
High-speed trains in any country cannot perform to the strict safety standards of Japan! Strict national safety standards are set for vibration, noise at a distance from the tracks, and minimum emergency stopping distances. In addition, we even have problems with noise, wind pressure, and noise when entering and passing through tunnels. With a straight line distance, anyone can easily increase the speed by increasing the output of the motor.
the thalys is a partnership between the Dutch, German, Belgian and French railways. the Belgian, German and French railways are the joint owners of thalys. The Netherlands is only a partner in providing services
No, Thalys now belongs only to the SNCF (France) and the NMBS ("National Railway Company of Belgium"). The Deutsche Bahn owned only 10% of the shares in Thalys between 2007 and mid-2013. It stems from cooperation between France and Belgium, which has existed since the mid-1920s. The countries you have mentioned are approached by the Thalys trains (in Germany trains only travel in the Ruhr area to Cologne and Dortmund). The routes focus on the Benelux countries (especially Belgium and the Netherlands) and France. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thalys

@@kickyouinhalf And the funny thing is that Chinese ones are definitely copies of Japanese ones though French themselves have invented their own type of high-speed trains lol.
It's the year they changed their maximum operating speed, not when it opened, if so Japan would beat everyone lol coz they were the first in the world to have high speed rail in the 1960s
Um dia a Indonésia terá uma linha de trem rápido. A pista é uma pista elevada e uma faixa subterrânea, passando por grandes cidades e capitais provinciais na Indonésia, que vão de Sabang a Merauke.
Yes, Italo build by the French Alstom, Frecciarossa 1000 by a group of Italian constructors (Ansaldo, Breda, Fiat Ferroviaria, ABB Tecnomasio, Firemi).
It is a cooperation. But because the Thalys also operates in the Netherlands, it makes it the fastest operating train there. So technically he isn't wrong 😂
@@ぱぴ-w6x very impressive technology, but when will it be operational? 2027? oh, 25 years after the Shanghai Maglev? nearly a quarter of a century just to improve by 100km/h from the 501 km/h testing record set by the SMT? and barely 30 km/h faster than the TGV from france, nearly 20 years before it will open?
@@GerhardReinig You r right. Because the Transrapid (meglev) was planed, created and built the first time in Germany. It was test for multiple years. But there was a fatal accident so Germany scraped the whole idea. (and money was also a reason, those tracks and everything is expensive). But China planed to build a track from the Shanghai Airport to the city. They bought the technology and that's why the first commercial meglev is in China.
I remember when the Acela was introduced and they announced top speed of 150 MPH (240 KPH). And to make matters even funnier, the train couldn't go past 100 MPH because the track can't handle the speed. What a joke. The TGV and Shinkansen was already twice as fast by then. The other problem is, our Amtrak trains are exorbitantly expensive. To take an Acela "bullet train" from NYC to Washington you are looking at $200. You may as well take a flight for that price.
While this train has yet to start operating commercially, the current world record for how fast a train has gone is held by a Japanese maglev that's to start commercially operating in 2027. It exceeded speeds of 600km/h during a test run. What's interesting about this maglev is that unlike other maglevs that float about 1cm off the ground, this maglev floats 10cm off the ground to guarantee its safety in the event of an earthquake.
Not long ago, a Chinese research team completed the country's first full-size superconducting test run for an ultra-high-speed magnetic levitation train 1000 km per hour!!!
The TGV and Shinkansen had set the standards for the world to follow. No one will beat that. Also the Maglev has shattered the TGV record held for quite a while.
When Chinese tourists come to U.S., these are the impressions they get: Dangerous streets in many urban areas, especially at night. Old and outdated infrastructures, mainly the bridges, roads and highways ,subway and buses, trains ,airports, libraries and government buildings. Dangerous people wander the streets at night time. Lots of drugs going around. Unfriendly officials, including the police, airport workers, and subway workers. Push carts at the airports used at a price, where many other airports in many countries the carts are free to use.
You might be right on that but, why are so many of your women coming to our country to have their babies here? Why are our Universities crowded with Chinese students? Remember, China does not create anything by its own merit. It copies and steals ideas from many countries, especially the USA, but the one thing the Chinese desperately wants, but will never be able to copy or steal, its called: FREEDOM. What's the sense of having so many good things available if you don't have freedom to enjoy them as you please? We might have dangerous streets but no one is watching you 24/7. Anything you say against your corrupt government, might land you in a hard labor camp thanks to the complicity of your neighbors or your own family members that will betray you in return for favors. Just think about that before you open your big stinking mouth.
It's funny how flawed some of the data is. 1. The AGV is French. 2. The CRH3 is a variant of the Velaro ICE 3 and was built by Siemens so it is German. 3. The Maglev / Transrapid in Shanghai is also a German vehicle because it was built by ThyssenKrupp-Transrapid and is a slightly adapted version of the Transrapid 08.
