I live in La Rochelle, obviously a Stade Rochelais fan, and I've been waiting for this video for ages XD The last stand will be renewed by the summer of 2023 increasing the capacity by 500 to reach 16500. There are 13000 season tickets holders. Next game will begin an ongoing 80+ sold out games serie.
Any plan to close the corners of the stadium ? It's cool what can be done nowadays in this area, like in Metz stadium or Angers. And that could add a bunch more spectators.
@@Desi365 I guess it will be possible technically but that is not planned yet, I mean the stadium has evolved rapidly already, of course many people ask for new seats because the team is currently very good and attractive, but going too fast is a risk.
I gotta say these stadiums have a lot of character. I like it. It's certainly a fresh breather from all the more or less similar new football stadiums in Europe.
the top 14 is my favorite competition, it's truly a unique competition in the world, I love this great diversity of teams, French rugby is rich in terms of players and also in terms of financing. It’s an exciting competition!
Racing is not a club of Paris but located in the western suburbs, in Colombes, 92. The old Racing's stadium was the former Olympic stadium in Colombes.
It's the Grand Paris, It's pretty much the same. French towns are very small, it is more logical to speak in urban areas. The Hauts de Seine is like a district of Paris. The Lyon club plays in Decine, but it remains the Lyon club.
The Stade Chaban-Delmas in Bordeaux has also been used for football. It has been the home of Girondins de Bordeaux for a long time before Matmut-Atlantique was built just in 2015 and it was even one of the venues of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France.
I am disappointed you did not try to speak with “an outrageous French accent” (Monty Python style). But the stadia are impressive with a dash of quirkiness.
Ernest Wallon is a bit underwhelming. The Stade toulousain owns it but they can't make it bigger because of real estate issues. And they can't afford building a new one, they're kind of stuck in the middle of the river.
Been to the wallon for a TOXIII (rugby league) match, not Stade, the Union team, but it’s really nice. Shame about the whole Union being popular thing tho
