Great List! Just played Colony ship and really enjoyed it! I would also recommend some older/indie titles such as Banner Saga, Ash of Gods, ShadowRun, BattleTech, and ThisisthePolice2.
I always thought that Heroes of Might and Magic 3 was the best of the series. The games that came after left a lot to be desired. It's still very playable today.
Tactics Ogre is a masterpiece. The story is deep yet you do spend most of your time playing the game. Not reading text from.. or listening to NPC's I wish Unicorn Overlord was out on PC. That game is fantastic. Sort of Doomdark's revenge army and garrison system mixed with FFXII's gambit system with Chrono Triggers overworld exploration. Pretty much the best of all three.
Rogue Trader was good, but I wasn't expecting such a huge amount of reading to happen. Somehow I expected a more XCOM dynamic, get in -- get out kind of gameplay loop. I believe I didn't even finish the tutorial before I decided to play something else. Battle Brothers has a really good modding community, lots of small things to ease the experience for newcomers. And I love being able to do trade routes in between mercenary tasks.
The only one I don't have is BG3 as I'm worried that there is too much story and not enough gameplay in that game. I like my tactical RPG's to be 25% story and 75% playing. Otherwise I'd rather read a good book
I was just going to add this as well. Amazing graphics, deep gameplay, and a story that moves right along. Very well done and plays great on my ASUS Rog Ally
