Finally watched all of Amphibia… Sprig and Anne ;(

Scorpia and everyone she is friends with. She is just the best. Also, Glimmer and Bow. Bow is the heart, soul, and brain cell of the super pal trio. But being the heart doesn’t make him a pushover. When Glimmer is not being a good friend he calls her out on it. So Bow and friendship in general.

Sokka and Aang. So powerful teenagers, until they goof off as the epitome of only one brain cell, and it’s with Momo. But Sokka more than any other character gives Aang the chance to be an idiot little boy, instead of the Avatar.

Jesse and Lake is like an old cat and a puppy, and I'm all for it

I wholeheartedly agree with your number one choice; Cyborg and Beastboy are the greatest bromance in cartoon history!

A little unconventional, but I'd add Hiccup and Toothless. Their dynamic grows and is done really well especially considering one of them can't talk

I think raven and starfire had pretty good relationship I love the bodyswap episode were raven and starfire see what it's like to be in each others shoes (also one of the most creative bodyswap episode ever created) and just had wholesome relationship over all

I would say my favorite friendship would have to be Starlight Glimmer and Trixie from My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. Probably because for a show that is all about the greatness of friendship and how it makes everything better those two are probably the worst friends possible. Anytime their friendship is explored Trixie and Starlight do nothing but annoy the crap out of one another while bringing all their worst tendencies, yet time and again at the end of the day they still consider each other to be their absolute best friend.

2 friend relationships which we only saw snippets of but had SO much more potential was Catra’s growing friendships with Bow & Glimmer. With Bow, you could see from the ep ‘Shot in the Dark’ that his friendship with Catra resembled very much of the dynamics seen in an overly openly affectionate friend & a more reserved but protective & just as caring one. It actually reminded me a bit of Beast Boy & Raven’s friendship. But when I think of a cute yet hilarious friendship in SPOP, Catra & Bow are definitely one I think back on❣️😄 With Catra & Glimmer, they pretty much understand each other the most out of their whole friend group. As their personal struggles, pain & mistakes mirror each other many times over the series. Catra ends up teaching Glimmer a lot about empathy & proves to be the catalyst for her letting go of her past Horde prejudice thru her actions to amend her mistakes & Glimmer in turn, returns the favour to her by helping Adora with her own struggles in understanding Catra. When a friendship leads both characters to becoming better people, it’s definitely one that leaves a lasting impact to what friendship is capable of bringing out in people. Even tho we only got a season of growth from these 2 friendships, it proved what you can show in the dynamics of said growing relationships in a very short period of time & how you make it memorable.

One of my favorite friendships in animation are Legoshi and Jack from Beastars because you can tell both of them have been friends for a very long time and have cute little quirks that only long time friendships tend to have

The real friendship was the friends we watched on tv along the way.

I personally love friendship duos where you get to see their dynamic as friends right off the bat, so your first impression of these characters are their interactions with each other (like with Benson and Dave). Sure, all friendships are going to change over time, but having these two characters who stick by each other before, during and after the events of a story (especially if they're part of a larger group) is always a good anchor for the reader/ watcher, and a great way to compare their relationships with other characters. Some great examples are: -Benson and Dave (duh) -Leo and Piper -Lara Jean and Chris -Jake and Gina -Willow and Gus Infinity Train took an interesting turn on this with Simon and Grace, but I'll refrain from spoilers. I just think it was a cool turn of events and it really exploited people's expectations (in a good way) to get the most from the show.

Woody and Buzz (Toy Story) Luca, Alberto, and Giulia (Luca) Anne and Marcy (Amphibia) Nick and Judy (Zootopia) Timon and Pumbaa (The Lion King) Phineas and Ferb (Phineas and Ferb) Perry the Platypus and Dr Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb) Cavendish and Dakota (Milo Murphy's Law) Hilda and Twig (Hilda) Guy and Sam (Green Eggs and Ham) George and Harold (Captain Underpants) (yes, really) Each character in their respective duos compliment each other so well, bringing out the best in each other while also being adorable and hilarious together

Steven and Connie could have been one of my favorite friendships but because of the mishandling of there friendship in seasons 3‐5 and how sloppy there dynamic turned I didn't really care for them

Min-Gi and Ryan make me super emotional. In a weird way, their dynamic reminds me of my own past relationship with my former best friend. I love those two silly boys so much.

I think two of my favorite friendships that aren't listed here are Ben and Kevin (Ben 10 Alien Force and Ultimate Alien) as well as Lance and Ilana (Sym Biotic Titan) :3

For me the reason Bart and Jaime’s friendship is so great is because Bart needs to be a good friend and help Jaime learn his power because he doesnt his future is what happens

Underrated video 😭

Luffy and usopp from one piece is one of my favourites, even though the strawhats are generally all close with each other luffy usopp stand out and that's why the water 7 arc is so heartbfeaking because of usopps growing insecurities about feeling useless and a burden to the crew only for luffy to make the difficult decision to condemn the merry because of its damage and the fact that it is beyond repair and it was usopp who had been taking care of the merry, this puts usopp over the edge feeling that if luffy can abandon the merry what's stopping him from abandoning usopp and this is why usopp challenges luffys authority as captain and fights him the winner getting the merry and even though usopp puts up a good fight luffy utterly destroys him showing their difference in power and this is one of the few moments that completely tortures luffy from the inside and turns around and starts crying

Slightly off topic but I may not be the biggest fan of crack ships (or ships in general) in a romantic context but WHEN IT COMES TO FRIENDSHIPS Two random characters who have never talked on screen but would probably make great friends? Endlessly entertaining

How about Nightcrawler & Shadowcat in X-Men: Evolution? I've only just started watching Adventure Time, but I like Jake & Finn

If you haven't seen the anime Kids On the Slope, definitely do because it's got a great friendship between the main character and another guy, the classic bookish nerd vs rough hooligan. Also there is ABSOLUTELY romantic tension between them like especially in the scene where they meet at the roof, you'll know what I mean if you see it
