Inyo County, California? So one county contains the highest point in the 48 contiguous United States (Mount Whitney), the lowest point in the contiguous United States (Death Valley) and possibly the world's oldest living tree.
Why aren’t the “ Woolami pines” on this list?. It may be more than 60 million years old. The Wollemi pine clones itself, forming exact genetic copies. It was thought to be extinct until a tiny remnant population was discovered in Wollemi National Park in 1994.
They obviously didn't do the research Graeme, Australia doesn't exist in some parts of our world. I thought the same as you mate, where is the Woolami ???
Another tree that should be on this list is the Huon Pine from Tasmania. It is not a real Pine, but from an ancient group that once grew in Antarctica when Dinosaurs roamed there. The Huon Pine does not even mature and produces seeds until it is 1400 - 1600 years old. A trunk that was buried underground is the oldest found at 3800 years old. Huon Pines are protected, but the old stumps and submerged logs found in rivers are still milled today.
Down in Texas, in the Guadulpe river just above the dam, there is a bald cypress tree growing right in the middle of the river which is massive. If I describe how big this tree is you would swear I'm exaggerating. Its huge.
Hey I live right off the Guadalupe river myself and we see massive trees also out here EVERYWHERE but lots of things go unnoticed or they haven’t yet been studied
You forgot one. The oldest bush that grew into a tree, and you can go and see it ( DO NOT TRY TO TOUCH IT AS BEDOUINS HAVE DIED INSTANTLY FROM DOING THAT ) and you will amazed. It is the bush that Moses saw on fire, without being consumed. At the base of Jabal Al Laws ( Arabic for The Mountain of Moses -videos on RU-vid and the real "Mt Sinai" )
Central Florida (used) to have an estimated 3,500 year old Bald Cypress tree named, 'The Senator'. It was the biggest and oldest bald cypress tree in the world at the time of it's fiery demise. It was located in Big Tree Park, Longwood, Florida. On February 28, 2012, the Florida Division of Forestry said they arrested a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of starting the Senator fire. The suspect stated that she regularly went to the tree site when the park was closed. On the night of January 16, 2012, she lit a fire with debris so that she could see the crystal meth that she was trying to smoke, but the fire got out of control. It boggles the mind how stupid and un-thinking some people can be. I used to frequent the park in my youth and stare up at the Senator in wonder, thinking of how many human life times it had seen. All that history just gone. My heart sank when I heard to news.
'Te Matua Ngahere' - Father of the Forest, is considered the second largest living Kauri tree in New Zealand although it achieves greater points that Tane Mahuta. It is also considered to be the oldest out of the two largest living Kauri trees and is estimated to exceed 2000 years old. The tree was discovered by Nicholas Yakas in 1928 when he and other men were working to build the road that is now known as State Highway 12.
I was just about to leave a comment about our Kauri trees (everyone always forgets about New Zealand 🙄). Unbelievable that neither are on any list of oldest trees, although maybe that's because we don't actually know how old they are, some estimates say Tane Mahuta is under 2500, others say its over 3200.
I like Methuselah, it is a different kind of tree but very beautiful in his own style. And the one from Iran, the Cyprus of Amarca is also very pretty. I am glad that it is preserved and protected. LOVE all these trees, they are magnificent and very iconic trees. 💚💚♥️♥️🥰😍
They will out live all of us. Out of all of gods creation, why are trees still standing as the silent sentinels and guardians of time. Far superior to the nature of man
When i went to st vincent i went on a nature trail theres a lil rain forrest and some massive trees that are thousands of years old the vines that grow on the trees where bout 3ft thick and the actual trees where enormous the roots where visable where 4ft thick too great kontent and very informative 🤘
A truly impressive video production. Another "ancient" tree you might consider is the Bennett Juniper. It is located in the Stanislaus forest in East-central California. It is south of Hwy. 108 near the town of Dardanelle. The tree is 70-80 feet tall with a trunk 9 feet in diameter at ground level. A core sample taken about 40 years ago estimates it's age over 6000 years old. You can drive to it, but it is NOT easy, multiple forest roads are the only way in........
There is a very old Osage Orange tree (Hedge apple) in Harrodsburg, Kentucky that was there before the town was founded in 1774. Maybe not as ancient as some but a very old specimen. It is located in the park in front of Old Fort Harrod.
No NO NO NO you take the time to do a video but your information is incorrect. Take Great Grandfather tree for example, you say its in Argentina... WRONG.. Its in Chile
In Iran There is A lot Walnut Oak Cypress and Maple Trees With More Than 3000 Years!!! Also Oldest Forest In The world is In Iran Which also is UNESCO Heritage site
Why are you showing footage of The President when you’re clearly talking about General Sherman? This is a consistent problem on your Top 5 videos. Showing footage of something not related to the ranking you’re discussing. It’s too frequent to take the channel seriously anymore.
There is a 4500 years old juniper tree in Ziarat, Pakistan🇵🇰. The speciality of this tree is that this tree grows 5mm in a year and 1inch in 5 years. Our government protected this tree. There are several videos on youtube about this Juniper tree.
168 ft tall and 16 meters wide. ???? Why explain this majestic Tree in this way. Is it Taller then it’s high or visa Versa . This sort of crap gets on my nerves ….

And they have been growing on my old grandads Lands for 110 yrs. they are mighty there like The two guardians of the valley. They also have drawn up a giant boulder mound. . I will send fotos.
Well, I think you have forgotten same Trees in Australia and Tasmania, we have got in Western Australia an area called the Valley of the Giants, I don't know the exact size of some of the Trees, but I am sure there not called Giants for nothing.
there is an olive tree in crete that is claimed to be 2000 years old based on the tree's ring analysis by experts, but most people believe it to be around 4000 years old, and it still produces olives. worth taking a look and do your own research if you are interested :)
@@MaryQQ Thanks for responding, and that sounds like a pretty length there. You mean tucked it up like in a bun? Let it free and show it off often since I adore ladies that grow their hair to luxurious lengths like Rapunzel's and I love the dedication they take to get it that long. Can you tell me more about it like how thick it is? How do you like to wear it and do you like it brushed and played with? Also, can you tell me about yourself and you interests please?
@@MaryQQ Very attractive hair you have, ever tried a fantasy roleplay game? I have one where you'd have to release your hair out of the bun and let me admire and touch it for awhile while you imagine smoking cigarettes for me if you're game for that sort of thing. It will be us using our imaginations and I do find some woman that smoke to be very charming so would you play this with me and we'll see where we can take this Roleplay fantasy to?
I almost fell off my damn couch listening to the description and make-up of Tree #2 called "Pando". The tree is made up of many hundreds of tree trunks (or shoots) that grow upwards from the root system *AND* (wait for it) is considered the largest known 'ORGASM'⁉️⁉️ in the world. 🧠😘💥😂🤪🔥💦 That's what happens when you rely on computer-read scripts.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea !" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
What about Tane Mahuta the Giant Kauri in New Zealand where does that stand within this list ??? The last time I visited it it took 18 adults fingertip to finger tip to go around the base of tree but that was when I was a kid of 12 and now I’m 42 I’m sure it would be bigger
The last tree shown, the bristlecone pine, had a sample taken in the 1950s and it took until 2012 of examination of the rings and cross checking in the laboratory before the age was fully verified. It's not an easy process but not impossible.
