For the people this didn't help like me you need modmod it's a addon that changes your special key, you know the shift key that turns your 1-9 keys into two action bars. Modmod can change the shift button which is incredibly inconvenient for quick casting into what ever you want ( whiçh is the onlu way to change it period) I highly recommend a mouse button or the Q key. Q key takes a bit to get use to but feel better after you're use to it and mouse is easy to get a hold of but slower

For my entire playtime of wow all these years. Even if im much more of a casual player. I have never used addons. The only time i ever did was some very minor addons back in Legion when a friend had it installed for me. And i have to say. So many addons seem like its either unessecary. Or it makes the game into a "numbers numbers" game. Playing without the dps meter is the best thing one can do. You cant have fun and enjoy the game if it becomes nothing but a numbers game. And addons to show cooldowns i never understood either.....I can litterally see it on the actionbar. The only one i felt was very useful and actually added to the experience was a addon that showed what rotation to use. It helped me learn my classes and how to play it.

Cooldowns in the middle of the screen is just to spare those miniseconds you have to look down and aren't concentrating on your characters or to not spam a button that is still on cooldown

The little tracker of your small cooldown like Immolations Aura and Metamorphosis that you have on the right side that are different colors, is that a part of the weak aura or is it a separate one ? It look super clean and i could use something like that on my UI

hey can somebody give a tip as to how a keep having the marks on the spells buttons as to the distance towards the target, like the native ones. and how do I make my panel, so that there is no gaps in between the spell icons ? i tried to play around, but the bartender / dominos settings do not seem to offer such options. thanksz.

Cannot get the Kaliel's tracker working, can you confirm it still works for latest patch? When i install the addon it will remove my Blizzard default questtracker but wil not show anything in return. Besides in the addons options there are no options checkmarks or such, just the name of the addon with the different sub-menu's.

Well that was helpful for sure. I haven't played wow since 2018 so I can be considered as a new player today, so much has changed. Interface, talents... I can't play my old 120 toons. Not yet anyway. What I'm looking for is a map addon that pinpoints garrison currrency chests in WoD. HandyNotes was quite helpful back then, but I don't seem to find anything that is up to date today.

I don't want blizzard to remove the sounds from DBM as many use it because they don't have the best vision. It would be nice if the DBM folks put a silent mode check box on the first page to make it easy for people though.

Any addon to let you switch interface layouts? Like jnow we have edit mode .. but only one layout easily available. It'd be cool to set a keybind to change layouts, or an automagic one - you enter combat, switch to your combat layout, that sort of thing... Also, trying to find a quest log addon that lets you search the title or contents or completion reqs; like you're at 3/5 wolf paws to finish a quest, be ncie to search on 'wolf' to find that quest.. when you've got like 30 quests on the go, it's a pita to find the one you randomly stumbled across something for.

Hey! OmniCC's functionality is in the game by default btw, has been for a long time :) Can be missed I suppose, in the long list of options now XD Great list otherwise! Also Bigwigs is naturally a little less "in your face" than DBM!

@@mostoftheinternetisfake6633 It's changed a bit with the new menus, but iirc it's in the action bar settings, and you can tick to see the cooldowns on the bars 😊 of course OmniCC has a lot of functionality not in the game, but if you're just after the CD, default should do it ok! Let me know if you can't find it!

I feel like elvui combines about 11 or 12 of these and it's light weight. It has highly customizable... well, everything. Raid and party frames, bars, map, quest tracking, nameplates, etc. I used to use a bunch of add-ons like he does, but then I just got elvui and customized the crap out of it. I basically just use elvui, dbm, weak auras, Opie, and details at this point.

Yeah, his interface looks very similar to how I had ElvUI setup. I've been playing around with the Blizz interface in Dragonflight, and while it's much better I'm probably going back to ElvUI soon.

Started playing WoW for the first time this January and honestly the best plugin I've found was BTWQuests. It shows you a tree of all the quests in every expansion and area and helps you track how many quests are in the quest chain. It's the best plugin I've used so far.

Not that Raven BB isn't useful, but you can also just click the default buff bar icon arrow to only show shorter duration buffs as well.

I deleted my damage meter at the beginning of BFA. Absolutely changed the game for the better. Instead of wasting every moment obsessing over what are essentially meaningless numbers, I started enjoying the game again. Any stress or performance anxiety instantly vanished. The pressure to be at the "top" of the charts became meaningless. It made "gearing up" more about feeling rather than unnoticeable statistics. You realize the #1 DPS and the #3 DPS have the exact same experience in a dungeon. They both go through it, kill all the same mobs, down the same bosses, and share the same loot. The only people that can even complain about it are the ones that are still slaves to the meters and their arbitrary numbers. I know, some people live for the numbers, but I'd rather have a fun night of WoW rather than a stressful one.

I reinstalled WoW after being out of the game for Shadowlands and told myself that I wouldnt be hardcore like I used to, and part of that was deleting my damage meter. Insane change of enjoyment. I played whatever I want, didn't give a fuck about my numbers, it was great. I figured if my guild cared that much about my DPS then they can kick me from the group and I'll just find a new guild. Luckily they are chill af and don't care either

Idk at what level you play the game, but it actually helps alot to know how much damage your group does (i.e.) dungeons. You can change the route on the go by pulling an extra pack etc. Its not about being #1 on the list, but knowing you are doing the right things. Of course its nice to see yourself at #1 but if you feel the need or are somehow sweating to get there, i dont know what to say.

@Mustaach It depends what content you are doing. If you do high keys or raid, you need to see what numbers you are doing. For all you know, your doing half the damage as everyone else and you don't realize you are doing things wrong. If you do content where you don't push anything, then yeah it doesn't matter

I'm about to come back to the game after leaving just before shadowlands. I'm hoping to go very addon lite. I'm thinking something to move my bars, hide my character/enemy portrait, auto sell junk, and auto repair, and obviously, DBM. I'm hoping Blizzard manages buffs and cooldowns on my character bar.

I wish you would divide your progress bar into chapters, with the start of each add on easily clickable on the progress bar. I spent way longer than I wanted to trying to find out what each add on was. Making it easier would increase viewer retention and engagement, in my opinion.

The only addon that is really a must have is blizzmove, can use weakauras if I want to be spoiled, the rest however are absolutely unnecessary.
