Fatcamps are kinda problematic, they have a history of being underqualified and endangering their kids, leading to a number of injuries and even deaths. You need to really look into the place and if you are sending your kid, its very unlikely they will do well if they dont want to be there, and it can be very traumatic for some to be forced to go.
And they are ineffective. It takes on average six months to see a significant amount of weight loss. Supposedly they can start good diet and exercise habits, but not always.
Yeah like, completely removing yourself from your regular life won't help you learn to have a better relationship with food. Making foods "off limits" gives that food too much power over you.

They can work when the kid actually wants it to work because they teach them how to make better choices, but if the kid doesn't want to be there then it is a waste of time and money and would only be a terrible memory for them.
Cartman's extravagant birthday parties get a similar follow-up in You're Getting Old. At Stan's birthday, his mom gets him a present for every present Stan gets. That would easily cover the cost of an iPad. I'm surprised they didn't blow all their money and end up in a hotdog years ago!

i just feel the need to point out about the HIV episode. The reason why Kyle is laughing so hard is because Cartman for many episodes has been making fun of Kyle telling him he has aids, wishing he had aids, etc etc.
I find it hypocritical everyone gets defensive over Kyle being mean to Cartmen on rare occasions. Since Cartmen is abusive to Kyle almost every episode. Even matt and tray lampshaded it with Kyles " I feel like we're all going out with Cartmen line" during Hedi and Eric's abusive relationship.

It was stated in the HIV episode that Cartman often wishes that Kyle would get aids. Which is shown on screen in previous episodes. So it is ironic for him to get it. Kyle had every right to laugh because wishing it on someone is just as bad as if you gave it to them.
As someone who has volunteered for Special Olympics my whole life, Jimmy and Timmy definitely qualify. I believe they both have cerebral palsy based on their design and behavior.

Is it due to not having the executive functioning required to train to the same degree? I’m technically eligible just for being autistic but I’m a high-functioning autistic who would probably train harder than most neurotypicals if I set my mind to a sport. Although I suspect that autism comes with very subtle physical impairments. So maybe it’s a matter of neurological issues that affect coordination. Paralympics is more for people with more severe physical impairments such as missing limbs. Still it doesn’t seem fair that people with defective thalidomide limbs are competing with amputees because one at least has limbs even if they are defective ones. Maybe whatever system they use can also be used for a “Gender Olympics” for transgender/non-binary/intersex/detransitioned people because you know post-puberty trans women for example are too strong to compete with cis women yet too weak to compete with cis men and post-puberty trans men are also too weak to compete with cis men but they might not be an even match with post-puberty trans women either...

I can understand why you might think the US had a larger Jewish population, especially being in the shadow of NYC. Growing up in New Orleans, I can forget just how small the percentage of non-Latino African American Catholics actually are in the US.
Part of me thinks that the reason Cartman hates so many groups is because he on some level, recognizes that members of those groups he knows are better then him. Tolkien is in a functional, happy relationship with Nicole and comes from a much wealthier family. Kenny is poorer then him, but is still a much better human being who truly cares for his family and younger sister. Kyle comes from a two parent household and is generally smarter and more well liked them him. I wouldn't be surprised the reason he hates gingers is because he knows one in school with much better grades them him as while capable of some messed up plots, Cartman is generally an idiot who most likely has some of the lowest grades in the entire 4th grade.
He's actually very intelligent as many episodes that shows it he could be even smarter than Albert Einstein if he applied his intelligence to his school work and used it for good he would be the most intelligent person in the world

Agree. I get they were trying to teach Cartman a lesson, but all of the stuff that happened later on could've been prevented, had Kyle and the boys stopped it sooner.

"Call of Cthulhu" is probably what you want to read. It's really the only story from Lovecraft's "Cthulhu mythos" that features the deity. It also happens to be the best starting point for reading Lovecraft's works.
The Paralympics are actually in equivalent set of games to the regular Olympics, the only difference is that the athletes do have physical disabilities, but the level of competition is just as high, in fact, I knew a woman on the Paralympic swimming team, who didn't make the Olympic team by half a second in her time, the Special Olympics are more I don't want to say less competitive, but you don't expect the same level of competition. The rigor of getting onto teams isn't as high and I do believe the Special Olympics does primarily pertain to children. Where is the Paralympics again are parallel to the standard Olympics even down to being in the same location as the standard Olympics every four years. And in the Paralympics, you will find certain sports that are tailored specifically for those of us that have disabilities, such as goal ball for the blind, a specialized sport created for blind athletes, after the second world war, wheelchair, rugby, and other sports of that nature.
After all the terrible acts Cartman did, his mom is still a bad parent and the adults in South Park are useless. At least at the end when he becomes an adult, he is homeless and alone because he never change his ways.
I'd guess it was more so that the writers could focus more on current political satire, so they replaced the mayor's place in the show with Garrison as president
KFC used to be great but now eh. We have a place called Mary Browns up here in Canada, way better chicken fast food joint then KFC. Big Mary has a thicker piece of chicken then KFC Zinger, their spicy version is spicier then KFC, food in general tastes better then KFC. It's just better in every way.
I've only had KFC a few times in my life, so I can't say that I know what it might've been, but I've always been disappointed by it. Homemade fried chicken for the win.

I wouldn't mind watching a Cartman and Friends where Cthulhu (pronounced Kuth Ul Hu) adopt a Shoggoth. If you wanna start I'd recommend The Festival, the Nameless City or The Call of Cthulhu (where that city comes from that's mentioned in the episode). When you do read, if something seems racist, it probably is because HP Lovecraft was a massive xenophobe of anything not proper, middle or upper class, and English

I've always felt that the most unbelievable thing about South Park was that the other kids would still hang out with Cartman. Should've made him Stan's cousin so they'd feel like they HAVE TO let him hang out with them.
I'm one of those people that thought the show was never good to begin with. And after hearing the show was centered around a vulgar disgusting insufferable brat, who repeatedly breaks laws yet often gets away with it without meaningful repercussions. Yeah I still think that lol. But to clarify your cthulu puzzlement, Lovecraft wrote cthulu's madness was inflicted by line-of-sight, not eye-contact; basically it had a worldview shattering visage because aliens were such a foreign concept back in his time. The dude had such creatively creepy writing he effectively invented cosmic horror, but uh there's no way most of his stories could get published now the way he wrote them, and his cat was just an example of the century old culture shock.

tbf cartman gave kyle aids as revenge. some ppl think kyle had every right to laugh at cartman, others think it was messed up. but even if cartman went too far, at very least he was provoked into giving kyle aids. brian gave stewie (and chris) herpes for no reason besides being "too embarrassed" to admit he had it. also brian supposedly loves stewie whereas kyle and cartman are frenemies at best, and brian just has fewer bad deeds to stack up against compared to cartman
I would argue that Cartman is not South Park's most heinous Character what with Garrison, Mickey Mouse and the leader of that fruity little club. It's more he stands out due to being a main character and not having their resources.
