Not to think the music of the Conan and its perfomarce of nothing represents Portugal, already matay and Calema are the best artists to represent the Portuguese people

I'm from Portugal, and i will speak to my fellow portuguese people in the commentaries. Conan's music dont represent nothing about our people? For the contrary, he made a mix of various music types like fado, arabic, african, brazilian, egypcian and gipsy. We are a multicultural country. I liked the musics of matay and calema, but for us, i order to win, we need something that is more out of the box. Like Salvador Sobral did it. The song is catchy, i liked the beat, the lyrics hides a deep poetic meaning and he have a good voice. How he isnt a good choice?

These are almost my least favorite songs.

Calema are really big in Portugal and Conan is the fave to win. Im portuguese and I can tell you that we like all kinds of song but for some reason our country created an strange image when it comes to Eurovision. I knwow a lot of people that thinks in ESC with no ambition! Majority doesn't care about winning! They look for the song that represents better the cultural and historic aspects of the country. Thats the main reason why our songs are almost always in our native language. In daily life we are not so different from the rest of Europe. Is just the way RTP and majority of portuguese viewers look at ESC. I don't think like that maybe because Im an eurofan. For me the song has to be impactful. I really like Conan Osiris and I will vote for him. I also like Calema but I think the chorus is a little bit dated. Eurovision does not have a big impact here in Portugal. Festival da Canção last year had something like 912,000 viewers. Our country have a population of 10.31 million people.... thats nothing!!!! I know Portugal looks so different from the rest of the continent in Eurovision xD but I think its changing. Slowly but changing... new generations are much more open minded, it will just take some time.

No, I'm portuguese and for me Conan's song is horrible. Stupid song and stupid lyrics. It is shit in my opinion. I hate it but sadly, I know that shitty song is going to win for sure. Calema is the only song that is good, for me of course.

RAJC I absolutely hate that song... and yet, for some reason I can't stop listening to it 🤔. Last time I felt this way was with Jamala. I hope that's not an omen 😊! Because otherwise all those fanboys and -girls declaring Conan the winner ahead of time would be right. I just don't think the song is instant enough to score well after first time listening. It sounds like there's people hooking up in the background... 😂 and as if the guitar player didn't even tune his instrument properly!

Portuguese songs this year are too clever for the average Eurovision fan.

I prefer this selection over others which are full of mainstream and generic-sounding songs. They are at least trying to make a difference on the festival
