I loved the Condemned series, I wish they could bring the 2nd game to PC because the multi-player modes it had were so fun. I would recommend Distrust, it's heavily inspired by The Thing and it's only $1.29 with mostly positive reviews. also I would say Dead End Road, it's a driving game where you have to survive a road trip to see a witch, it's only 74 cents right now and has a Very Positive review rating.
I don't understand how people label these 2D 8-bit games as horror especially the ones where you play as 8-bit anime character. Absolutely nothing scary or unsettling about them and the worst part is nowadays when you're trying to find good indie horror games all the pages are riddled with those 2D 8-bit games because they're extremely easy to make.
Lame take. Some of the best games out there are 2d and pixled, you don’t need AAA utltra real graphics to make a horror game, in fact those have been some of the worst horror games coming out recently . Detention, yomawari, dark wood, and a few others are still the scariest games I’ve played. I’d rather run as a pixel screaming than running around shooting zombies with an uzi anyday
@@oleksiivar Reading and listening to horror audiobooks is totally different... When you read and listen and there's nothing to see your imagination creates the scenes you read or hear. Unlike when you look at those shitty 8-bit 2D games.
@@aubreymorgan9763 Maybe best games for you if you're a kid or get scared easily in general. Each to their own. I never claimed that you need "AAA ultra graphics". For example those VHS and PS1 graphics style horror games are some of the best I've played. Big difference to those 2D 8-bit games. I also don't consider zombie shooters horror games. Not a single one I've played has been scary.
