You have to watch videos about Keanu and the things we didnt know about him.. he is really down to earth. He takes the subway and offers people his seat, he donates his pay cheques to charities, he has hitched a ride with a group of people when their flight was cancelled etc. The guy is an amazing role model and has gone through so much loss and heartbreak. I personally loved the JW series and can't wait for the 4th one, I would totally watch videos about him, then give them another shot ❤ you may see it differently. Oh! And his cameo on always be my maybe!
I agree but I disagree with Robert Downey Jr.. Robert Downey Jr. Was already making his way back based on a lot of freaking talent. People were in secure with him when he came out of prison because of ensure ments that would need to be paid if they picked him up as a leading man for example. He was slowly coming back and actually even though I like iron man I believe that he sort of sold out. When you go make a movie late that you don't get typecast if you just do 1 or 2 having already made a few movies before. He got a pay check but yes done any substantial true acting if you will for a while. If you ever seen chaplin where Downey junior played Charlie Chaplin you should check it out in your see just how freaking talented that dude is. I guess I would like to see him making movies that display his talent we all know he has or most people do that like follow their industry Or maybe in the industry. Robert Downey Jr. Is extremely talented and hes not doing anything is show that lately. His movie choices just seemed to be about making a buck which you know if that's what someone wants to do I'm not going To Jab Them. A great example would be Johnny Depp. Everyone knew Johnny Depp was super talented and especially after Edward Scissor hands. Then he went on a long trip making Quirky movies which I actually like .. he came back to main stream with pirates of the Caribbean series. Johnny Depp is said to be one of the best natural actors around from his peers. His memory is incredible when it comes to his Lines. I'm in the business and one thing I can say about him is he memorizes his lines for several minutes so the camera can just Be single. When you watch films the next time watch how many times the camera angles will switch On performers. Sometimes you notice there may be 3 or 4 or even 5 minutes of dialog with the same camera shot. These are things are pay attention to and Johnny Depp is great At this memorizing lines .. Believe it or not ,Marlon Brando Had index cards on the walls and fixtures around him in the godfather movies. Fare would be just a couple words to refresh his memory but they would be numbered in sequence they he was to say. Clever but it made him actually look like a better Actor than he was. I'm saying he was a great Actor but he didn't have a great memory like Johnny Depp if you feel what I'm saying.
Love Keanu! L, give him a second chance. Did you know his name means Ocean Breeze in Hawaiian? Maybe because I’m also from a Pacific Island (Guam), he holds a special place in my heart. And I hear he’s a really nice guy! Talent... good person in life? Win-Win!
I believe hes half Lebanese and have native Hawaiian. I Verdi's as super super nice guy and you should read some time or watch a little short RU-vid clip about his sister whom he helped so much for many years. I don't know the outcome but I do know she had a disease that was terminal I believe
@@choice12ozborne I was curious, so I looked him up. Although he was born in Lebanon, his mother was British from Essex, but he is part native Hawaiian, Chinese and Portuguese. Go figure.
How Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford, George Clooney & Laurence Fishburne didn't make this list boggles my mind. They all had fame, met near ruination via a string of bad films and redeemed themselves with one epic performance.
None of these actors' careers were actually in danger or had fallen off. Every actor, even icons like DeNiro and Connery(rip), has a few clunkers on their filmography. That doesn't mean that they have hurt their careers. I refuse to call the X-Men Origins version of Wade Wilson "Deadpool". Instead, I call, him PowerStorm or Weapon 11 as General Stryker called him in the movie.
I'm not a HUGE fan of Reeves movies (just because those types of movies arent my thing, nothing against his acting) BUT as a person?! Keanu is a GOD. Hes amazing in every way you can think of. I will always love him and support him as a person. 💜
Fun fact Mr Stallone was born with a condition & that's why one side of his face looks like it does when he talks which also is one of the reasons he became famous bc of his "facial expressions" & his mouth forming to help him sound the way he does!💯🖤. Sorry I read allot lol 🖤 also he was homeless before he got his first big hit!
@Kiss Kitty yup that's part of what I read on about him. I said condition bc i couldn't think of the name bells palsy which is a Condition he was left with!
I think they are kinda taking liberty with the whole "saved their career" thing. I think the better word would be reintroduced. Most of the people were still getting work but certain roles just put them back in the public eye with a new take on what they are capable of doing. Jim Carey is really the only one that was saved by showing people that he still has what he had, which I personally don't find enjoyable -- I find it quite annoying but to each their own I suppose. Perhaps number one as well considering his history and the studio taking a chance on casting him which he delivered ten times over.
Yeah they should have used rejuvenated or refreshed their career rather than saved their career.. But you know how you tubers are when it comes to The title to drag people in lol
yeah that teaser trailer alone changed so many people's preconceived notions and there are a ton of reaction videos on it. I've been bored by all the recent Batman movies, but this one I'm actually pretty excited for
Ive never watched any reviews on youtube or list reviews anything of that type, but i swear i could watch this guy all day. Keep doing ya thing. This gon piss me off 😆. That was great
Respect where needed. Robert Downy Jr was a star before the drug years, which they failed to mention. In 1992 he starred in Chaplin and won Best Actor for an Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe. His drug addiction started as young child when his father (severe addict) started him on weed at age six and drugs were the center of their “quality time”. After Chaplin it was a barrage of drug arrests, prison and rehab. Marriages failed. I’d see him on the news in prison clothes in a courtroom. Even in his darkest hour his face cried out for help. He finally met a women who stood by him, supported him and made it clear.. one more drug relapse, she was gone. He saw it. He changed. And Tony stark was born. Millions of dollars. His life earned every penny. I was rooting for him. And he did good. Also ... he is hot. LOL.
I agree that Sly Stallone be on this list. One of the greatest action icons of the late 70's, 80's, and 90's with the Rocky and Rambo franchises and then hit movies like Demolition Man, Judge Dredd and Assassins and then he saved his career with The Expandables and Creed franchises.
I loved Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, and the funny thing is, we almost didn't get him in that role. He, and someone else, forget who, who was part of directing it, and knew he was right for the job, had to fight tooth and nail to get him that role, but they eventually let him do it, and they obviously have not regretted the decision.
just because a actor cannot fall off in the eyes of some fans, does not mean the directors and producers want to hire them to be in their movies remember its called show BUSINESS not show friends.
Michael Keaton was FIRE 🔥 AS BATMAN, BEETLEJUICE AND BIRDMAN 🔥 And I love Dallas Buyers Club, Sin City, Deadpool, Judy, The FIRST Matrix, The Lighthouse, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and especially Wolf Of Wall Street. John Wick? I’m with you L. It just does nothing for me 😂🤣 But the greatest comeback for me will always be John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. It literally resurrected his career, that had been dead for a decade or more at that point, and once and for all proved that he really could act. And we actually got to see him dance again in Pulp Fiction. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the performance, along with the formidable Samuel L. Jackson, and this one performance literally made Travolta a bonafide star again. Maybe it’s just because Pulp Fiction is my generation and I personally remember Travolta blowing up huge after the film, so it’s more prominent to me; but you can’t deny Travolta turned in one hell of a career defining performance in that film, after literally vanishing from the screen for near a decade or more. It’s also one of my all time favorite films. Cause it’s brilliant 😂 Here’s something not a lot of people know though- Sylvester Stallone actually wrote Rocky, he wrote the screenplay. And he won an Oscar for it.
RDJ was the perfect Iron Man. He actually lived most of Iron Man's life with drug and alcohol abuse and the whole dark period. Literally made for the role 😅
I actually think RDJ's career made a resurgence with 2005's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and his part in 2007's Zodiac, both great movies that showed he was back on the wagon and helped him get the Iron Man role
My dad use to use movies to get his points across to me and my siblings..and one of them was the 1st movie that I known Robert Downey Jr for to this day and that is "Less Than Zero" to see how much he's grown and changed since that movie and to see him in "Iron Man" and other movies he's really cleaned up. Check that movie out
When was the last time you looked forward to a Jim Carrey, or an Adam Sandler movie. If you look at it from a Hollywood career perspective, and not as a fan, they all deserve to be on the list. You can tell he didn't know that was Mickey Rourke in Ironman 2 also.
Michale Keaton had a huge drop off where all he did was bit roles in movies like the Other guys. He did Birdman and was back and has appeared in both huge franchises and prestige Oscar bait. Also Batman was 1989. 1992 would been the sequel which Imo wasn't very good. Little known fact Michale Keaton was a very sucesfull stand up comedian. Showtime comedy store documentary dives into it.
I agree a few years of no stand out roles doesn't mean you've fallen off as an actor. However alot of these people did fall off til a come back. They were not landing roles and had a noticeable decline rather they are major actors or not.
I wonder if the new film Hubie Halloween with Adam Sandler is the movie he was talking about when saying he wanted to make a movie intentionally bad if he didn't win an oscar...it is really bad lol
I've never seen any of the twilight movies, never intend to. I agree wholeheartedly with you, he was the best Batman...I don't care what anybody got to say...he was the best Batmat!!! John wick movies I shouldn't love it.. but I do! The action, thou sometimes to excessive, is intense and I can't wait for the next one to come out!
Marvel be saving half of Hollywood’s career It’s to bad how much they nerfed hulk in the later films in the comics hulk is far stronger than basically any marvel hero or character his feats include, Catching and supporting a collapsing 150 billion ton mountain range using barely any leverage. (Marvel Heroes Secret Wars #4) Tearing through a bunker designed to resist the explosion of a multi-kilo-ton weapon. (Incredible Hulk #177) Matching the Super-Adaptoid, who had acquired strength and durability of over a hundred heroes like Iron Man and the Vision. (Incredible Hulk #469) Closing the door of a nuclear core that the combined efforts of Thor and the Thing couldn't budge. (Iron Man Vol 2 #6) Redirected Gladiator's beams back to his eyes, instantly knocking him out. The blasts were said to be hotter than the sun. (Incredible Hulk Annual 1997) Matching two Avengers teams during a prolonged period of time even though the Hulk was gradually weaker due to a physical separation from Banner (Incredible Hulk #321-322) Unleashing intense gamma energy shock waves from his body, Hulk almost destroyed the entire East Coast with a single footstep, while also threatening to destroy the entire planet... and even then he was revealed to be greatly holding back! (World War Hulk #5) Destroying the Crypto Man after its physical strength became superior to that of even Thor (Incredible Hulk #205) Overpowering Thor on several occasions (Hulk: Let the Battle Begin #1, Incredible Hulk #440, Mighty Thor #385, Avengers Assemble #4) Pushing two spheres of matter and antimatter apart (Marvel Team up Annual Two #2) Pulling and holding the tectonic plates of a planet together, a planet that's mass and gravity far exceed that of Earth (Incredible Hulk #99) overpowering sufficient force to change the orbit (Tales of astonish #89) Destroying a planet and the surrounding planets/moons in the Dark Dimension, threatening the entire dimensional/universal realm (The Incredible Hulks #634-635) Destroying an asteroid that's twice the size of Earth in a single blow (Marvel Comics Presents #52) Applying force to the space-time structure itself to prevent the Defenders from being absorbed into a fissure (Defenders #3) Smashing and crushing Adamantium with his bare hands (Incredible Hulk #228; Marvel Team-up Annual #2) Overpowering and shattering Onslaught's armor, whose power and armor were equal to those of a Celestial (Onslaught: Marvel Universe #1) Sending concussive energy through countless dimensions after clashing with Ironclad (Incredible hulk #305) Destroying Nightmare's Realm with his sheer power alone (The Incredible Hulk #299) Crushing the enchanted uru hammer of Nul: Breaker of Worlds with his bare hands when The Serpent/Cul and his avatars known as The Worthy were at the height of their power (Fear Itself: Hulk vs. Dracula #3)
Im down with your disagreements, but I fiercely argue Matt McConaughey being on this list. Loved failure to launch, but my fave McConaughey movie was Sahara. We liked it so much, my husband an i saw it multiple times in the theater and bought it when it came out on dvd. Anyone else like Sahara?
Yes to me he will always be the best Batman...classic!! I loved him in Mr. Mom and Multiplicity too and let's not forget Beetlejuice!! Gurl I miss these classic movies!!
I like most of the actors on this list and don't really understand why some of them has gotten a lot of hate, just because of a few bad movies or some bad sh*t going on in their lives. Seems like a lot of people expect them to be perfect, but they are just people too.
I think the list is pretty spot on. Many of these like Jim or Adam had rough patches not only in their lives, but with many of their movies that critics felt they were playing "to dumb" or "to much of the same" or the movies just didn't do well. For example Jack and Jill is considered the worst Adam Sandler movie.
Michael Keaton was a star back in the '70s then disappeared for a while. I think I thought he was dead for a while there. But McConaughey? He has NEVER dropped ever, not since 'Alright alright alright."
Mojo's motto for this segment was: had to give you a career to destroy it. half the stuff dont make sense? chris evans saved career? he was a nobody before the avengers, avengers made him into a career
Looking at Robert's face, into his eyes, he is Iron Man. Every actor becomes a bit of their role whether it's a favorite color or don't believe in Halloween or Valentine's Day. I personally believe their's no such thing as "type casting" bc at least a part of the character is us.
You're right about Michael Keaton as the best batman! And I don't think many of these actors were really in any funk, I love every single one for each of their movies!
Adam Sandler was Quentin Tarantino's first choice for the part of the Bear Jew in Inglorious Basterds. I will never understand why he turned it down. He would have been awesome.
Dude, that would be great! He'll definitely enjoy them for what they are. Just one badass dude taking out everyone with gun-fu. Still need to finish John Wick 2 and 3.
Johnny Depp was supposed to be in the 3rd episode of The Fantastic Beasts series, but they fired him because of the lawsuit he's involved in. I liked Michael Keaton in Mercury Rushing, that is such a good movie
I haven't watched this yet but the first one that comes to mind for me is Robert Downey Jr. That man's life was a mess and played out night after night on the news. I'm also a recovering addict and I had many screw ups and trips to rehab and jail before I got it right! I couldn't imagine going through that with the eyes of the country watching! There's always someone waiting for you to fail!
