I'd put the Paul fight above the Steven fight. Ash's fight with Paul was absolutely personal. And even if 10 million Thunderbolt doesn't really miss as per the games, the execution of that move hitting a dodging Mega Metagross was still WTF 😂

I cried watching this. Indeed some people waited a lifetime for a moment like this! Like we waited for 25 years for him to be the very best like no one ever was! If I may add in the list, I would add Ash's victory over Lt. Surge. It was a defining moment how Ash was a valuable trainer. Not forcing Pikachu to evolve for his gains.

I was supremely nervous that Pikachu would have stayed down and cost Ash the World Coronation Series championship until we saw Ash's other teams of Pokémon in spirit form willing him to his feet to finish the fight. I love how it literally came to a head between Pikachu and Leon's Charizard in a clash of Fire Blast and Thunderbolt.

Looking back on all of Ash Ketchum’s many trails and tribulation's over the last 25 years and seeing how much he has grow and become more skilled in every challenge he has faced all leading up to him finally becoming world champion has been an incredible journey and an amazing 🥲 trip down memory lane well done and thank you Ash and Pikachu for being part of my childhood 👍❤️

Last I checked, Ash's Pikachu was lvl 60 something. Thunderbolt is learned at lvl 42 if I remember right. I'm guessing it hit around 70-80 by the time of the Leon match. Not as strong as Red's at lvl 88, but very close.

It's crazy that I was there from the beginning since 6/7th grade and of course I'm in my mid 30's now. To see his Pikachu take down a Charizard in his biggest tournament ever in his life and won was epic. 25 years later Ash's journey will finally come to an end. It's about time to finally close out Ash's journey. Man, I just can't believe it's been running this entire time which is making me feel old...
