Well, the high homicide rates in Latin America are mostly due to poverty, corrupt governments/presidents, bad educational system and other factors. This leads to the emergence of gangs, criminality, hitman et cetera. The people who migrate from these countries to the US are mostly those who wish to flee from the criminality and poverty. The criminal gangs won't migrate to the US (for obvious reasons) - this should also be distinguished from the forming/emergence of a gang intra-USA. [....]
