I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. It's like Death By a Thousand Cuts in the sense she chose to write something that wasn't related to her or that she experienced, and it turned out so great. The bridge breaks my heart everytime: "You showed me taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else"

Honestly, I don't know many who have a firm top 10 at all. I have top 10 lyrics, top 10 emotional, top 10 upbeat, top 10 vocals, and top 10 sonically. There's of course overlap with some of them, but Taylor's discography is too massive and diverse for just one list of 10 lol.

The last 4 months have been insane, but Speak Now TV is coming next month!!!! After that, I wouldn’t be surprised if Reputation TV came out, but she’s extending the Eras tour to a world tour in Fall 2023 through late 2024, so we’ll see how much time she has. Lol

I am BEYOND grateful and excited to see that CLEAN made the #1 spot on this list. I’ve said it before and I will continue saying it: Clean is my #1 favorite Taylor Swift song, even over the likes of All Too Well and Enchanted, simply because of the personal implications the song holds for me. Haunted is one of my favorite songs PERIOD, not just by Taylor. This is essentially a list of my absolute favorites by her, except I'd trade Story of Us for Treacherous (Red TV) and Begin Again for Happiness (Evermore). Happiness is in my top 3 lyrically of her songs. "I can't make it go away by making you a villain", "No one teaches you what to do when a good man hurts you, and you know you hurt him too", and "all you want from me now is....forgiveness. You haven't met the new me yet, and I think she'll give you that" are powerful messages of self-awareness, introspection, empathy, and growth amidst heartache. And those are just 3 of several! It baffles me that this song is so slept on.

Why is this list almost every single one of my favorite songs from each album? Even the ones that are “Taylor’s Version” that were on the original albums, they were my favorites on original release as well, ESPECIALLY the ones off of Fearless. And NBNC is LEGENDARY for fans of true crime, I latched onto that one INSTANTLY. And, forgive the drama, but DBATC was my GO TO for several days straight after the Cowboys got knocked out of the most recent playoffs. I find it difficult to imagine most of these as “underrated” simply because they are all songs I’ve loved from the jump.
